Most mornings, I drop my son off at school and then head out for my own walk, so I’m typically free around 8 a.m. If your dog enjoys early outings, I’m happy to make that part of their routine, and I’m flexible for other times of day as well if you need a different schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

I don’t offer boarding, but I take care of pets with the same attention and respect I give my own. At home, our animals are treated like family. They enjoy fresh dishes every day, litter is scooped once or twice daily, and their individual routines are honored (including sitting with our orange cat while he eats, as that’s what makes him comfortable). When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their pet’s established routines, keep their space clean, and make sure they feel safe, calm, and cared for. Every pet has their own needs and preferences, and I’m attentive to those details so they can feel secure while their people are away.

Information Daniel & Bethany F. would like to know about your pet

Temperament & triggers – Are they shy, excitable, or reactive to other dogs, people, or noises? Health needs – Any medications, allergies, or physical limitations I should be aware of. Routine & preferences – Their usual walking pace, favorite activities, or commands they respond to. Behavioral notes – Do they pull on leash, chase squirrels, or need extra reassurance in new environments? Emergency info – Your vet’s contact and what to do if something unexpected happens.

A typical day

Right now I’m focused on dog walks, but I’m always happy to add in some fun and playtime when it’s safe to do so. I don’t take dogs off‑leash unless we’re in a secure, enclosed yard, but if you have a fenced space where your dog likes to play fetch or run around, I’m more than comfortable doing that. Every dog has different needs and energy levels, so I’ll always check with you first to make sure the activities we do are safe and a good fit for your pup

Pet care experience

I’ve always loved dogs. I grew up with them, and even though we have cats now (apartment life!), I still miss that daily dog energy — the excitement, the curiosity, the joy of getting outside. Recently, I started taking morning walks to stay healthy, and seeing dogs that clearly wanted to explore more inspired me to start walking pups for others. It felt like the perfect win for everyone: your dog gets the adventure they deserve, and I get the movement I need. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality, whether they’re energetic explorers, slow strollers, or sniff‑every‑corner detectives. Because walking has become part of my own health routine, I’m committed to giving your dog a full, meaningful walk every time. They need it, and honestly, so do I. I work as a professor and often work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks throughout the day. If your dog has specific routines, quirks, or favorite routes, I’m more than happy to follow them. And if you’d like photo or video updates while we’re out, I’m glad to send them so you can see how your pup is doing. I look forward to giving your dog the care, attention, and adventure they deserve. I’m also open to caring for senior dogs, high‑energy pups, or dogs with special needs. If your dog requires oral or injected medications, I’m happy to talk through their routine to see if I’m the right fit

Once again, Daniel took such excellent care of Kismet and was very proactive with checking in with me about my travel plans and whether they had changed so he could make an extra visit to check on him.

Daniel did a fantastic job watching Kismet - cleaned his box and refreshed his water each day and kept an eye on his automatic feeder. Daniel even noticed that Kismet’s claws were getting caught and offered to trim them, which is no small feat! I’ve already booked Daniel to come watch Kismet again!

Another successful walk! Thank you for your kindness and patience with my pup even when she is being a little stubborn when the walk ends :)
