About: I've taken care of people's pets since I was in high school. We recently lost our dog, so we miss having an animal around and would love to care for your pet as if they were our own. I am a teacher and have the summer off and long breaks throughout the year, in which I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I love to walk, so I'd love to take your dog with me. I have a small patio where pets can get some fresh air and watch the birds and squirrels throughout the day.

About: I’ve loved dogs and cats since the day I was born. I’m a dog (cat) mom and have worked with rescue animals. Being with animals brings me so much joy and it’s a job I take very seriously. I’m a full time dog walker, cat sitter and It has been my dream job for years. Sadly due to the circle of life, I’ve lost several animals (including my senior pup) recently and would love to have some new fur friends in my life. Having me in your home will give you a big piece of mind as I am very outgoing, respectful, clean, efficient, and believe in karma!

About: Leaving your dog behind can be hard—whether it’s for a weekend getaway or a busy workday. You want someone who’ll treat them with the same love and attention you do. You need more than just a dog watcher; you need someone who gets it. Someone who will keep your dog happy, safe, and loved until you’re back. As a dog mom to two golden retrievers (8 and 4), I’ve had plenty of experience with dogs of all energy levels, temperaments, and needs. I’m comfortable managing medications, preventing allergy triggers, and handling allergic reactions if they arise. Our home has a large front and backyard, perfect for playtime, exercise, and fresh air. Whether your pup needs long walks, belly rubs, or someone to sit quietly and keep them company, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. You’ll get regular updates, photos, and all the reassurance you need—so you can relax, knowing your dog is in good hands. At the end of the day, it’s not just about keeping your dog fed and exercised—it’s about making sure they feel at home, even when you’re not there. Because your dog deserves the best. And so do you. Both my husband and I work fully remote. We’re flexible with our schedules and always block out time for long walks to the beach and a lot of time to play and interactive with ours and your pups! We’re early risers as well and are flexible accommodating for your pups needs throughout the day. We’re flexible with our schedules and always block out time for long walks to the beach and a lot of time to play and interactive with ours and your pups! If caring for pets in our home, you can expect a minimum of 3 walks a day and lots of outdoor time in our front and backyard patio. We don’t have any dangerous areas in either patio, but will still keep a close eye on any pups to ensure full safety. If caring for pups in your home, you can expect me to treat your home like my own and respect it fully while also sticking to your pups schedule you would keep on a regular basis. I’d love to work with you to make sure your pups needs are fully met!

About: As someone who has grown up surrounded by my pets (dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and even newts!), caring for animals comes naturally to me, and I genuinely love connecting with pets of all kinds. I’m comfortable administering medication, following special routines, and making sure your pet feels loved and secure while you're away. Josh is my favorite walker for Miska . Josh knows how to handle my big dog who can be quite stubborn. She is not the easiest dog to walk with a husky like personality and her malamute size and so I really appreciate that he is comfortable with her and she with him and he always available to take her out when I am on travel. +he is flexible with my many change of plan. Really appreciate !!

About: I've been caring for cats since I was atleast 8. One of our cats was a stray who I bonded with over many months and continue to bond with now even though she is a bit frosty in her old age. The trust we have built for each other has been a beautiful experience. My family rescued a senior dog in 2016 and I have helped to care for her since then. I have a soft spot for senior dogs and want to make them as comfortable as I can. I work part time at the LMU library so my hours are pretty minimal. I work Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the evenings. As I am hoping this will be a second source of income I am pretty flexible with my schedule as long as it doesn't interfere with my other job. I do not like to make a mess or any sort of impression in places that I visit. I am very patient with animals. If your pet is anxious or introverted I am fine to keep to myself completely or get to know them on their terms. I would never want to cross any line with a pet or homeowner.

About: With over 15 years of experience in dog walking and personalized pet sitting, I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. I’ve also fostered more than 35 puppies and dogs for rescue organizations, in addition to my own pets, helping them grow into confident social companions so that they can find their home. In addition, I bring over 11 years of dog training experience, allowing me to work confidently with shy, high-energy and/or behaviorally unique pups. I understand that every dog is different and I tailor my training to meet each one’s individual needs. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each dog’s unique personality, routine and needs - whether that means high-energy playtime, structured walks or a slower, more relaxed pace for shy and/or senior pups. I always move at their comfort level, respect boundaries, and use positive, gentle handling to create a safe and stress-free experience. During every visit, I make sure your dog receives attentive care, companionship, and plenty of enrichment. I’m happy to follow specific feeding routines, administer basic medications, reinforce training cues, and keep their environment clean and secure. With my background in photography, you’ll receive high-quality photo and video updates after each visit - so you can feel connected, reassured and confident that your dog is happy and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide your pets with the time, attention and care they deserve. I focus on keeping them both physically active and mentally stimulated, whether that’s through walks, playtime, enrichment activities and/or simply providing companionship. We have access to two fenced-in dog parks within my complex, providing a safe and fun space for exercise and play. I also have a friendly 5 year old spayed female dog, up-to-date with vaccines, who gets along great with both dogs and cats - she loves having company, whether it’s for playtime or just relaxing at home watching TV.

About: Leaving your fur babies behind is never easy, but I’m here to give you total peace of mind. As a registered veterinary technician with 14 years of experience caring for animals, I’m happily stepping out of the clinic and into your home! My goal is to bring that same high level of medical expertise and attentiveness into the comfortable, stress-free environment where your pets feel safest. Whether your sweet pup or kitty needs a strict medical routine, or just an extra dose of love and belly rubs while you’re away, I promise to treat them exactly like my own. Because I work from home, I have the complete freedom and flexibility to closely adhere to your pet's individual daily routine and schedule. Whether that’s with drop-in visits, walks and exercise, or pet sitting in your home. Every pet has their own perfect pace, and I'm happy to match it. From leisurely walks along the strand/beach to high-energy games of fetch in the park or yard, or just cozying up for some serious couch-potato cuddles, your pet gets exactly the kind of day they love most. My extensive veterinary background equips me to handle pets that require specialized attention. I am highly experienced in administering oral and injectable medications. I have been fully trained in recognizing subtle animal behaviors, and tailor my care to meet their individual needs and personalities. I always respect their boundaries, move to their level of comfort, and use only positive and gentle handling so they feel safe and loved. My own experience caring for my beloved cranky 14 year old pup, who suffers from epilepsy and immune mediated illness, has taught me to be extremely observant, read body language meticulously, and proactively adapt environments to avoid negative situations. I am passionate about welcoming animals of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and life stages—from energetic puppies and kittens to sweet seniors. I have 2 senior pups and a 26-year-old tortoise of my own! My love for animals is a huge part of who I am, even outside the clinic. While living in Southeast Asia, I spent my time volunteering with local rescue organizations, where I personally loved on and cared for over 200 dogs and puppies. From nursing injured and paralyzed pups to keeping up with daily feeding, bathing, and playtime, I was fully hands-on. Above all, your pet’s safety and happiness are at the heart of everything I do. I want you to feel like you're leaving your baby with a trusted friend. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive, and deeply compassionate, and I treat your home and pets with the utmost respect. I promise to keep you connected with plenty of sweet updates and photos along the way. I truly love going the extra mile to ensure that you can relax completely, knowing your furry family member is feeling loved, comfortable, and completely pampered. Can't wait to meet your best friend! Working from home gives me the complete flexibility to seamlessly match your pets daily routine. I am available for whatever your pet needs, from walks and feedings to drop-in’s and full pet sitting. Because my own grumpy senior pup doesn’t do well with new friends, I don’t offer care in my home. However, I’d love to keep your pets routine perfectly consistent by caring for them in their own familiar space.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
