About: Years with my own dog taught me that dogs have a few universal talents: finding the muddiest puddle, convincing you they haven’t eaten in days five minutes after dinner, and making every walk an adventure. Volunteering at a shelter reminded me that behind all those funny moments is something even more important—every dog wants to feel safe, understood, and loved. I’ve become pretty fluent in “dog language.” 🐶 That’s why I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and earn their trust. I think it’s the best part of spending time with them. My skills: * Understanding dog behavior and body language * Building trust with dogs of different personalities * Patient and gentle handling * Caring for dogs of different ages and temperaments * Following detailed care instructions * Providing companionship, play, and attention My schedule allows me to dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, and giving each dog the individual attention they need. I understand that dogs feel happiest and most comfortable when they can keep their familiar routine. I do my best to create a calm, safe, and consistent environment that feels as close to home as possible while their family is away. I work full-time, seven days a week, so I’m available to provide reliable and consistent care for your pets whenever you need it. Before caring for your pet, I like to learn the little details that make them unique — their favorite activities, walking habits, how they communicate, and what helps them feel comfortable. During each walk, visit, or house sitting stay, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing how your furry friend is doing. My goal is simple: for your dog to feel like they’re spending time with someone they trust!
“Jill is an exceptional dog walker! She took such amazing care for my dog. He is normally shy and reserved when it comes to strangers as he is a rescue, but by the second day he was jumping up in excitement to see Jill. She was so kind to bring him several toys, treats and a blanket. She was meticulous in summarizing walks with my dog and always on time. Also she was extremely responsive. I trust Jill enormously with my fur baby and will use her again!”
“Amy was quick to respond, detail oriented, punctual and caring for todays walk. She was so gracious about me booking a service last minute and very understanding. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Tyler and his wife were great! They were friendly, reliable, and took wonderful care of my dog on his walk. My dog came back happy and tired, and I could tell he had a fun time. I’d definitely recommend them!”

“Great walk with Collin. He picked up our dog from our place and took him on a great scenic walk. Thanks so much for making it easy for us. On time, quick communicator, and Rory loves him!”

“This was my first week using Todd and Rover in general, and he went up and beyond my expectations. He worked really well with my schedule, and my pup liked him right away. He even does a bit of walk training on the walks, amazing!”

About: You know the pet that “doesn't like new people”, is “grumpy”, and “always hides”? Give me ten minutes and that cat or dog will be eating out of my hand. Call it a talent. Call it a gift. I’ve had it since birth, and I’m pleased to share it with discerning pet parents on the west side of Los Angeles. I’ve lived with cats my entire life. My Maine Coon mix Dallas passed at age 15, and since then have fostered 20 cats via the Stray Cat Alliance with every age and temperament. I’ve volunteered at the NKLA adoption center, doing enrichment and writing/shooting adoption videos. I’ve also served as Marketing Director at the Paw Project, the only animal rights organization dedicated to outlawing cat declawing. I've lived with dogs for shorter periods, and am most comfortable with smaller to medium-sized dogs. Cats: I have experience administering probiotics, pills, liquid medicine, eye drops, and injections. Dogs: I have less experience administering medication, but am happy to follow specific directions. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I'm currently working part time with flexibility; my schedule should easily mesh with yours. I understand that some pets are on more of an exact schedule and I'm happy to honor that. Physical safety: Having hosted certain foster pets who rush the door or otherwise attempt escape, I'm accustomed to ensuring all doors and windows are secured and triple checking escape routes when entering/exiting the home. Medical safety: I'll be on the lookout for any behaviors indicating stress or illness, including monitoring the litter box/poop activity and for cats having the Feline Grimace Scale handy. Please leave your vet's information in case of an emergency. My backup is the VEG Veterinary Emergency Group in Santa Monica. Emotional safety: I know what to do and how to show up energetically in order for your pet to feel safe with me. Being a cat foster parent I've delved deeply into Jackson Galaxy's videos and books. Pets are extremely sensitive and intuitive, and any stress can cause illness - we'll have neither stress or illness on my watch.
“Arzu is a dog whisperer through and through. She has been professional, consistent, kind, and responsive. Our two pittie mixes Yoshi and Lyric adore Arzu and they have been happier and calmer since they have been spending time with Arzu. Our family is certain that Arzu is a true gift to furry friends everywhere. Arzu - thank you for everything!”

“The best on here and treats my pup like hers and like family. Can’t say enough positive things about Kellie. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for someone you can really trust with your furry friend”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and currently have a 100-pound Golden Retriever named Kevin. Caring for a large, active dog has given me experience with daily walks, exercise, playtime, feeding routines, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable away from home. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, beach adventures, or just relaxing and getting attention, I’ll make sure they feel right at home. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and loving environment while keeping you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine with my own Golden Retriever, Kevin. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I make sure every dog gets the care, exercise, and love they need to feel comfortable and happy while they’re with me. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a friendly 100-pound Golden Retriever named Kevin who loves other dogs and helps make visiting pups feel right at home. Dogs are always supervised, have plenty of fresh water, exercise, playtime, and a comfortable place to relax. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is in good hands.

About: I have experience caring for dogs with a wide range of needs, from senior pups with multiple medications and strict schedules to puppies and even energetic households with up to 6 dogs at once. I’m comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I respect their routines, including meal time, meds, walks, and quiet time. Above all, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I work from home Wednesday through Friday, have high autonomy, and am flexible to take breaks and accommodate your pets schedule throughout my work day. Mondays and Tuesdays, I am typically away from 9-5 and available for services before or after that time. I am the most flexible weekends and happy to accommodate your needs. I take pride in being clean, respectful, and dependable when caring for pets in a client’s home. I follow routines closely, keep the space tidy, and make sure pets feel comfortable and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, overnights, or daily check-ins, I’m attentive to details such as meals, medications, and individual needs, while treating every home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own.
“Jayne is the best. I needed to get a dog walker after an injury to walk my dog 2x/day for a few months, and could not be more thankful that we found Jayne. She is so kind and communicative and my dog quickly became tuned in to his walk schedule and would get so excited to see her right before she’d arrive. Book Jayne for all of your pup needs! She is definitely our go to from here on out.”

About: I’m experienced in caring for cats and dogs, young and old. Whether they require medication or extra attention, I can accommodate a spectrum of needs. I’m comfortable keeping up with those who require lots of energy, while respecting the space of more laid-back animals. I work from home and I'm able to offer lots of attention and affection throughout the day for the furry friends who want it. And can just be in space with those that prefer a more hands off approach. I'm incredibly flexible and can easily adapt to the routines and practices you've created for your pet and would like maintained while you're away from them.

Jill is so awesome! She's extremely responsive over chat, flexible when schedules change, and always sends an update with photos after each walk. It's obvious she is passionate about animals and has so much love for my pup. I know my dog is well taken care of when Jill is there.

Jenny is thoughtful, kind, and incredible with our dog Duke. We ended up needing more last minute coverage than we expected and she was accommodating and flexible to make sure our dog got the love and care he needed when we were away. We cannot recommend her more!

My pup had a wonderful outdoor outing with Mallory! He instantly trusted her and seemed very enthusiastic to join her. Mallory has a calm energy and got along great with him. Mallory responds promptly and is a good communicator. We highly recommend Mallory and will request her walking services again!

We had a great experience with Egle and our pup! She was very kind, professional, and communicative. She took the time to schedule a meet & greet and truly understand our dog's temperament and schedule. We're excited to use her services again and would definitely recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
