About: I fell in love with dogs when I was 2 years old, and have been running after them since. When I was in second grade, I presented posters with information on different dog breeds to my parents in hopes that they would let me keep one! This research trained me for my science career, and I now work as an epidemiologist with a very flexible, home-based schedule. I am an active person and frequently need to take myself on walks — the only thing that’s missing is a dog friend! I have ample experience dog sitting my friends’ dogs, and their friends’ dogs, and did indeed grow up with a dog for 12 years. I have the most experience with dogs ranging from one to four years, but am happy with older dogs as well. I work from home four days of the week and have a very flexible schedule with limited meetings. I tend to wake up and start work early, leaving me with as much daylight to adventure as possible. My neighborhood is clean and perfect for walks, with access to two large parks and a quick drive (or 40 minute walk) to the beach. Your dog will be able to roam around my roomie 1.5 bedroom apartment and is welcome to hang out on the couch. I also have space for a crate, bed, and any toys your pooch loves! My apartment building has access to a beautiful lawn, which is unfenced, but perfect for a quick trip outside.

About: As someone who has been raised in a dog household, I've taken care of and trained dogs for as long as I can remember! My family has/had a labradoodle and two vizslas so I can confidently deal with both extremely high and low energy dogs. I am comfortable with on or off-leash walks, as I know certain breeds need to get their zoomies out! I have a full-time, remote job so am looking to help out those that need early morning or evening walks during the week. As for weekends, my mornings are wide open! I don't have a dog of my own, as I just moved and had to depart with my family dogs, but am comfortable with what the client prefers!

About: I have a 7 year-old boxer from Mexico. I never intended to leave her at all. I took her in when she was 2 months old, trained her to make outside (took me 2 months) and gave her medicine while she was a pup. After her first year and a half, I took her to the vet to get spayed. I also got her into more training and other courses like frisbee courses and agility. I have much love for Chapis. The experience that I have with older dogs are from my parent's previous dogs when I was younger. I did my best in taking care of them when they couldn't get up, when they needed potty assistance. What about cats? I don't have much experience with them, but I am willing to learn from them and their owners. Availability Saturday and Sunday. Times available depend on the service required. Need between 3 to 5 day notice in advance. Cancellations no later than 1 day prior to service date. I make sure the pet has enough water and I ask where the food is as well as treats (if needed). I will play outside in the garden preferably, if no garden available, i'll play inside in their usual play area. Spend time scratching them and maybe hide some treat for them to find.

About: I grew up with two amazing labs. Once I moved out for college, I continue to dog sit and housesit for different families in Fort Worth and take care of their loved ones. Dogs are family so I want to make sure that people know that the dogs will be in good care when they leave them with me. I took care of my friends pets a lot either take him on walks or watch them overnight. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule so if I plan ahead, I’m able to take care and do my daily activities. I’ve been dog sitting and housesitting since college. After I graduate in 2019 I continue to do so for families in Austin Texas. I want people to know that their animals will be safe and their homes will be safe while they are under my care.

“Melissa is my neighbor and I can say I'm able to see how much she cares for dogs. She always makes sure to say hello to my dog when walking by and gives him lots of pets. She also gives lots of love to any dogs we are watching at our apartment. I would always see Melissa give nice long walks for her dog. She also knows all the dogs around the neighborhood and has built great relationships with their owners. I know she has had a dog growing up and most of her adult life. It brings her great joy to have a dog around. She truly is such a dog lover and I would trust her taking care of my dog or walking my dog any day.”
