“Matty’s been our regular for a while now, and he’s the best! Very communicative, flexible with schedule, and an extra perk he’ll take great photos with your pup”

About: I have had experience both walking and checking on my friends dogs. I’ve been around and have had dogs since I was a child I currently work full time however I do have days where I have many hours of down. I am free early mornings and afternoons. I can be flexible. I will take the dogs on at least a 15 min walk and be sure to provide some play time in between. If there’s anything additional you would like you can share that with me.
“Nick was so friendly and great with my very large dogs! There are not too many people that can handle Buddy, but Nick was fantastic. I will definitely be booking again!”

“Emily walked our dog for a few months before she moved to Santa Monica and was such a pleasure to work with! Our dog can be quite difficult to manage but she was great and really patient with him. He misses her!”

“Kellin visits our pup on an ongoing basis during the week while we’re at work and we cannot recommend her enough! Our pup is elderly and requires specialized care, including support getting into and out of a wheelchair during walks and mealtime, unique food preparations, and more - all of which Kellin does graciously and with the same level of love and attention that we would. We’re so thankful to have her support and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I am in love with dogs and I love meeting new furry friends! I want to be able to care for loving animals and pet sit when the owners are in need of someone caring for their special child! I know what it's like to want to make sure my baby is in the best hands when I am out of town and I want to be the same for others. I have had a dog since I was 6 years old, and will continue to be a dog owner. I have a 14 year old maltipoo chihuahua mix that I love dearly. I am very careful and cater to exactly what your pet needs in order to be comfortable in a new environment. I am very organized, trustworthy and reliable in taking care of your pet while you are away and if need a safe environment and home for them. I currently have a flexible full-time remote job and so does my partner. We are able to care for and be at home with pets in need of daily walks, playtime, and care! I have a one bedroom and living room space for the dog, and patio that is enclosed at my apartment complex so they have the option of being inside or outside. There is also a pet play area in my complex that only residents are in and they will not be able to get out.
About: I grew up with four dachshunds and one cat who all lived long and happy lives! I was the neighborhood pet watcher and cared for golden retrievers, Bernese mountain dogs, golden doodles, labs and more! I currently have two cats of my own - Otis and Pippa - who are essentially my whole life. As soon as I have more space, another dog is on my checklist. I work remote and my hours are EST so I am up very early and have an extremely flexible schedule. This also means I’m done with work at 3pm and have all afternoon to care for your pet! Pets are our best friends and that’s how I treat not only my own, but others’ as well. I recognize that stimulation is often needed and love to play, give some scratches and pets, and let them cuddle with me. That said, every animal is different and I most importantly will respect any and all notes provided to me from the owners, and will reach out if I have any questions or concerns!
“Travis is the perfect trusted dog walker for our pup. We have boarded with him as well and cannot say enough positive things about what a great job he does caring for our dog as well as being a great communicator and lovely to coordinate with. We would recommend Travis to any friend and continue to use him regularly ourselves.”

“This was my first time working with Aditi. I have used other dog walkers from Rover before. She was very pleasant to deal with. She seemed to have a very genuine love for our dog and was willing to accept the last minute request when 3 others turned it down. I will put her as my first choice when looking for dog walkers from now on.”

“Marissa has become our go-to person for dog walking and pet sitting. She is thorough, communicative, and professional, and she is patient and loving with my energetic pit mix. Can’t recommend her highly enough!”

About: I have always cats and dogs most of my life. Worked for a dog training co. for several years. Love all breeds big and small. Patience and safety are most important. Currently I'm working part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk your fur baby. I'm also available to sit with pets during the week and on weekends. At this time I am not able to board any pets. I can sit with pets at their home. I have the utmost respect for another persons property and their rules.
About: I've grown up with animals my whole life so reading their cues & moods comes naturally to me. I treat every pet as an individual & always meet them where they're at. Having recently said goodbye to my own lil one, spending time w animals right now brings me comfort & a lil extra company would be truly welcome. Whether your baby needs a quick potty break, a gentle/BRISK walk or just company while you're away, I’d love to be there for them. Book a meet n greet; I’m sure your pet will tell you if they like me or not . This is my work schedule: Monday & Wednesday: 10 AM to 3 PM Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: Working from home I am Available on weekends I stay alone in an apartment with a private back patio (perfect if your baby likes to sunbathe like me) & an enclosed dog run in the apt building for all dogs if your pup (or other pet) like to run around/play. I’m super close to vets & Carlson parks (Culver City) too. If your pet is nervous or doesn’t like change, I’m happy to stay at your place or walk your pet around your neighbourhood instead.
About: I’ve been around and lived with animals since I was born. I’ve never spent a period of my life without a dog in my care. I also have extensive experience caring for cats as well. I take not just the love and care of animals seriously but also training. I believe that a pet deserves to feel secure, safe and structured in life and that’s why I’m not just there to provide pets and food but also structured walks, mental stimulation and more. I have a Shetland sheepdog, so I understand the value in being more than just a caregiver to an animal. I work from home so I have the flexibility to stop by and walk your pet or care for them throughout the day. I also am done with work at 2 pm every day so my afternoons and evenings are very open. I have my own dog so I can’t spend every moment with your pet or at your house but I am able to be there consistently. I know first-hand just how scary it can be to leave your pet (your baby!) with someone else because of my unyielding love for animals and my personal attachment to the importance of being reliable, communicative and kind to pets in my care, you will never have to worry that your baby is in safe hands. I care for pets but not only being reliable and caring when it comes to affection, feeding and more but I try to be very structured with my care depending on the pet. For many dogs, that looks like walks every few hours, offering brain games like puzzles and trick training and setting them up for a relaxed and calm environment when they return home.
“Megan has been so great taking our reactive / energetic lab on walks! We wanted zazu to walk with someone who could help reinforce good behaviors and we are already seeing improvements in her comfortability on the leash. Thank you Megan!”

About: Hi:) I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. I grew up with dogs and cats. Almost everyone in my neighborhood had dogs which made it absolutely natural to include them into our routines. Was it seeing your friends by taking the dogs for a walk or arranging playdates for dogs and ourselfs..we always had pets around us. I’m also experienced in taking care of dogs and cats I don’t know and it was always such a pleasure. I have a flexible schedule. In my daily routine I always take breaks to go for a walk or on a hike which is a perfect opportunity to include your pet in that routine. I would always asked the owner about rules for indoor and outdoor. If I let a dog out in the backyard I would always check the area for possibly hazards or holes in the fence. If the pet acts unusual..I would report it to the owner immediately.

About: Can I walk your dog ? Hi, My name is Jimmy, I have had pets when I was growing up and have taken care of friends/family dogs for years. My daily routine is walks, feeding, cuddles, play-time, letting them rest when they need, and taking pictures… talking about pictures, I would be more than happy to share with you as much as you need ;) I walk our dog, Molky, 3 times a day, including a long walk in the neighborhood. We have a fenced back yard that is available as much as wanted/needed during the day. I have a friendly 7 years old puppy, Molky. I require that all pups are fully vaccinated, dewormed, before their stay. We know how anxious it can be leaving your pet in the hand of another person, that’s why I would love to meet you and your pet beforehand, to learn more about your pet's likes, dislikes and daily routine to make him/she and you as much comfortable as possible while you’re away. If any question, please ask :) If I'm taking care of your fur baby, he/she will not be alone, and he/she'll always have attention during the stay. Potty breaks every 2-3 hours. As already mentionned I have a fenced back yard, and a little friendly dog, Molky (15 lbs). Beforehand, please let me know about your pup : - If young, if is potty trained. - Pup's vaccines are up to date. -Pup's Breed. - Pup's likes and dislikes. - Pup's daily activities. - Any allergies, diseases. - Restricted diet. - Pup's behavior with other dogs. - Pup's behavior with children and other adults. - Pup's behavior during the walk. If special any requests? Just ask! :)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Culver City
I was feeling a little nervous about our first confirmed house sitting with Genki and requested a last minute walk for a kind of “orientation.” He was prompt and very open to my “guidance” - it was really anxiety about leaving my two doggies with someone new. I have a strong and anxious pittie so I wanted to make sure she wouldn’t be too much. We walked together and Genki quickly showed me he knows what he’s doing. I feel a little better about our dogs’ upcomig weekend with Genki and appreciate his kindness and the respectful way he showed up to meet and walk our dogs.

Johnny is phenomenal! Where other walkers take my boy half a mile, he goes above and beyond and walks a similar route that I do — 1.5miles! The pictures are instant serotonin—they detail his care and efforts! Johnny followed instructions, kept in contact. I felt that he really cared about Graham. I feel safe with leaving my baby boy in his care! I enthusiastically recommend Johnny!
Katherine walked Katsu while I was out of town and she was amazing! She sent me lots of updates and photos of my dog which put my mind at ease. Very easy and fast communication! Would highly recommend Katherine!! Definitely planning to book her again even when i’m in town

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
