“My little Gía always has a great time with Jane! At least 1 walk/day, and Jane is SO flexible with my varying pick-up/drop-off times. What a gift to have her so close-by as well. Thanks again, Jane!”

“Needed a last minute sitter for Bobby. Da Sol responded quickly and was able to accommodate daycare for the next day. She is friendly and communicative. Bobby loves her! I highly recommend Da Sol!”

“Laura was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make both my dog and I feel comfortable with the stay. She even made the cutest report card graphic to send me after I picked Frankie up. 10/10 recommend her! You can tell she really cares about pets and understands how nervous you can be leaving them in someone else’s care.”

“Chelsi is simply amazing!!! She’s so thoughtful and really loves dogs. I felt immediately comfortable leaving my pup with her. I can’t recommend her highly enough. She sent me updates all day long, and it was obvious that my dog was feeling at home too. She was a great match for our - relaxed, flexible, respectful of each dogs personalities. Just such a good vibe overall. Our experience with her was really way above what I had expected. We will definitely be booking with her again ♥️”

“Today was Emily’s first day with our very energetic and little puppy Maximo who is only 3 months old. She was hands down so incredible. She was with him all day and did so many activities with him and sent us endless videos and pix. I immediately felt beyond comfortable leaving our Maximo with her and look forward to upcoming visits. She is beyond a 5 star rating. Thx a million. She’s the best”

About: I recently relocated to California and am currently taking some time off work, which gives me the opportunity to give your dog plenty of attention! I have experience dog-sitting for friends and grew up with a family dog, so I’m very comfortable with them and understand how important it is to leave your pup in reliable hands. Looking mostly to dog sit in our new house in Culver City :) I am available 7 days a week with the exception of some weekends. I am flexible with my schedule and do not require anything long term. The dogs can stay at my house where my fiancée and I live. I will take them on walks, hikes, and/or runs - whatever you are comfortable with!

About: I've taken care of over half a dozen dogs and cats of all sizes, mostly through fosters. I will treat your loved on like my own! I work from home and live in a very walkable area. I am happy to take your pup on short or long walks depending on their needs. I have a smaller apartment but have easy access to walking on the street and a safe, quiet local park. At client homes, I am happy to accommodate special feeding or exercise needs.
“audrey was amazing! i needed a last minute booking and it was a great first experience. she was super communicative and sent lots of photos. her dog got along great with my dog and i would totally use her again!”

“Krista was absolutely amazing as a sitter! She was great at communicating and sending me updates throughout the day. She was also able to fulfill the exercise needs of Ralph throughout the day. I know Ralph was well taken care of with Krista. I would highly recommend Krista as a sitter!”
“Great sitter! Booked last minute and on a holiday and she and her husband were super quick to answer. They even pick phantom up. I would recommend and book again. :)”

“Cristina and Martin always go above and beyond! They provide the absolute best care and my dog always comes home happy and tired out. I’m a very overprotective owner with but they’ve proven that I can trust them with all my heart and I know my dog is in good hands ;)”

“Sue-Ann T. is one of the best puppy sitters we’ve had! Great with communication. Very professional and organized. Gustavo felt right at home so quickly. Every dog mom’s dream 🥰😍 Brady is also the sweetest puppy host!”

“We had such a great experience! Aries looked after Lola for day care and we couldn’t have asked for better care. Lola went on long walks, trips to the park, and had plenty of playtime, but was also given space to rest and sleep when she needed it. She was fed well and clearly felt comfortable and happy the whole time. Lola was excited to see Aries every morning we would drop her off. It was obvious how attentive, caring, and thoughtful Aries is with dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing Lola was in such good hands and would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!”

“My dog Karma loved her stay with Nadine and Casper. Karma and Casper liked each other right away, and as soon as I dropped her off, Nadine took Karma on a walk. She kept me posted throughout the day, sent me pictures, and was super patient with her during feeding time (Karma is a picky eater and has obsessive behaviors when it’s time to eat). Karma looked very happy when I picked her up and seemed very grateful with Nadine. I will definitely leave Karma with Nadine again in the future.”

“Valerie is a thoughtful and considerate dog sitter. Its obvious that she cares about her visiting pets as much as her own. She sends pics and updates in how Kobe was doing and behaving. Thank you Valerie!”

Rosario and Ryan were great! I was a little nervous as I have never left Baymax with anyone except family. They sent updates/pictures, they were very responsive and the entire booking/drop-off/pick-up process was very easy. I would highly recommend Rosario and Ryan to other paw-rents. Your baby will be in good hands!

Yadi has taken care of Laika many times while we’ve been away traveling, and we always feel completely at ease knowing Laika is with her. She is caring, responsible, and genuinely loves dogs. Laika is always happy and comfortable with Yadi, which means so much to us. We trust her completely and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and loving to care for their dog!

Deniz was so sweet and my anxious dog Kaiya settled right in! I am so glad the sitting day went well as my pup has some issues being around other dogs and has a bunch of those tricky husky behaviors. Luckily Deniz had lots of experience and had no problems accommodating to Kaiya's needs!

Lizzy (and partner Aaron) is a wonder for sitter for our dog, Max. Poor Max apparently had a very tough life before we got him from a rescue group at age 6 years. He's a very sweet and loving dog, but when he's very anxious and frightened, he can be tough to deal with. Lizzy is one of the calmest people I've ever met and she only takes one dog at a time. She is perfect for Max and, though he's anxious and has serious separation anxiety, he seems to be much more comfortable at Lizzy's place that he is anywhere else aside from home. Lizzy and Aaron are highly experienced in caring for dogs (both their own in the past and other people's dogs) and seem to be unflappable. They have a great house with a backyard on a quiet street in West LA. We are so glad we found them!

Angela is a wonderful sitter and took excellent care of Theo! She is very friendly and caring and made Theo feel comfortable in her home. She is also responsive and communicative, providing frequent updates on how Theo was doing throughout the day. Theo had a great time and we are so thankful!

Emelyn was wonderful with Letty! She was so patient, gentle, and caring with her, especially since Letty is a senior. I really appreciated the massages and all the extra attention she gave her. She also sent me so many pictures, which I loved seeing while I was at work. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Letty was being so well taken care of. Emelyn did an amazing job, as always!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Culver City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
