“Second time booking Jane. The cats are always happy to see her! I appreciate Jane's flexibility and offer of alternate options when the original schedule planned hit a snag.”

About: I truly love animals. I don’t just “watch” them — I spend time with them, talk to them, and make sure they feel safe and loved while their family is away. I’m very patient and gentle, especially with pets that are shy, older or a little anxious. I pay attention to the small things — how they like to be touched, if they’re eating well, or if their energy changes — and I always keep you updated with photos or videos so you feel close to them even from far away. I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to love, feed, play and be present with your pets. My days are calm and flexible for them. I create a cozy, safe and peaceful space. I’m gentle, clean, and always pay attention to how they feel. You’ll get updates so your heart stays calm too.
“This was my second time asking Yuliia to come visit my pet cat. She gave him food according to my instructions, cleaned his litter, and took great care of him. She let me know that he was feeling a little sick and then made sure he was OK by monitoring his intake and activity level. Her visit gave me peace of mind. I will definitely ask her to visit my cat again.”

“Just wanted to give a review on Christine. I worked with her on my last vacation and she is a wonderful care giver to my animals. Always on time and takes the extra effort to get things done..She would be a definite asset to your animal care needs.”

“Anya is so great - reliable, kind, takes wonderful care of our cat (and administers her medication) and gives great updates and photos. We are so grateful and lucky to have found her!!”

About: Caring dog owner with hands-on experience raising my own puppy and caring for my friends’ dogs. Reliable, patient, and always focused on safety and comfort. I have a flexible schedule and enjoy spending my free time caring for pets, ensuring reliable walks, and feeding. I’m home often, love outdoor time, and make sure every pet gets attention and consistency. I follow each pet’s routine carefully, keeping their environment secure with regular walks. I ensure doors are locked, food and water fresh, and pets happy.
“Molly was amazing at taking care of our cats. We last minute booked a trip and needed someone to help us with the cats. Molly was easy to communicate with, and we felt very comfortable. Can't wait to use her again.”

“Marissa was so great w my cat. She gave me lovely updates about each drop-in visit and I came home to a kitty who was remarkably not angry at me for leaving town. A++ from both of us.”

“Meng was timely with all her communication, had great attention to detail, and did a really nice job checking in on our cat while we were gone on a long vacation. It helped give us peace of mind that he was okay and cared for while we weren’t at home. She even brought our packages in from our front door for us which was a nice extra touch and not part of the job. We would gladly work with her again!”

“Laura is amazing! She stepped in super last minute to take care of my boy when my friend flaked on me WHILE I was out of town. Laura is kind, trustworthy, and very patient. My dog is a bit on the shyer side and she seemed to know exactly what to do on how to gain his trust based on intuition and experience. I can’t recommend her enough and will be hiring her in the future. Thank you again, Laura! 🩷✨”

About: I am an animal-centric person. My professional experience spans a decade in Seattle, Washington, where I owned a dog walking and pet-sitting business. I cultivated long-standing client relationships, providing daily care for their pets. My responsibilities included attending to puppies, dogs with physical limitations, senior dogs and cats, as well as animals requiring terminal and hospice care. I have experience with high-energy breeds, power breeds, and extra-large breeds. I am currently employed as an in-home caregiver for individuals with dementia during weekdays, with availability in the late afternoons and evenings for pet care services such as playtime, potty breaks, and dog walking. I have open availability throughout the weekends. Every dog is an individual with distinct needs. I am available to address your specific requests concerning your animals. I can secure property or crate your pet, administer medication, and handle feedings, walk multiple dogs at a time, etc.
“Super sweet and lovely with my cat. My cat is normally pretty shy, but played with Megan quickly. She also had some good recommendations as a fellow cat person. Thanks, Megan! I would definitely book again.”

About: I'm a devoted dog mom who treats every pet like family. One thing that sets me apart is that I can offer either solo walks or walks with my friendly Cockapoo, depending on what your dog enjoys most. Whether your pup loves making canine friends or prefers all the attention to themselves, I'll tailor each visit to their needs. I'm dependable, communicative, and love keeping pet parents updated with plenty of photos and notes after each visit. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to incorporate pet care throughout my day. I enjoy getting outside for walks and breaks, so dog walking and drop-in visits are a natural fit for my routine. Because I'm not commuting, I can often accommodate midday walks and check-ins, and I'm available throughout the week to provide reliable, consistent care for your pets. When caring for pets in your home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide walks, potty breaks, fresh water, playtime, and plenty of attention while following all care instructions carefully. For dogs who enjoy extra exercise, walks can include time at the gated dog run in my apartment community, where they can safely run and play off leash (with owner approval). I'll also send updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. 🐾
“Madeline took excellent care of Nori! She was always on time, provided above and beyond communication, and took the time to play with Nori each visit. I will absolutely be having her back to watch our cat again!”

“We have a fearful senior rescue dog with a complicated history, and Liz has been great about doing an initial meet-and-great and then an extended drop-in to spend time with our dog alone. She very much understands how to interact with a fearful dog who needs time to feel trusting. Her experience as the guardian of a rescue dog herself definitely comes into play. She was punctual, cheerful, and generous-minded, and we really appreciate her willingness to work with Penny! We will definitely use her again.”

“Victoria is very professional and self-assured. She’s a great communicator and took a proactive approach to setting up a meet and greet meeting with my wife and me. Victoria inspired confidence and took time to build rapport with our shy cat. We highly recommend Victoria.”

About: Please read until the end :) I’ve been an animal person for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog at 11. It was a 2 year old Pomeranian. And a year later we brought home another, this time a senior. Having two dogs that young meant I had to show my parents that I was responsible. So I learned take care of them myself, from baths to keeping up with their vaccines. Some of my favorite memories are just walking them to the park or running around the house playing chase until I was completely drenched in sweat. Now I have the most adorable 4 year old kitty I adopted as a kitten, and she completely changed my mind about cats! I really do love both dogs and cats equally. Honestly, in another life I’d probably be a vet or working with wildlife, but for now I just genuinely love taking care of (mostly non-marine) animals and treating them like my own. Please note the following: Drop-offs and pick-ups are accepted between 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM. I can only host up to 1 furry visitor at a time. Please ignore the additional pet rates on my Rover profile. Booking Timeframes Daycare (up to 12 hours): - Daycare includes up to 12 hours of care. - Example: 7AM drop-off → 7PM pick-up - Latest pick-up is 9PM Boarding (24-hour period): - Boarding covers a full 24-hour period from drop-off time. Extended stays beyond the included time may incur additional fees. - Daycare exceeding 12 hours may be charged as extended care - Boarding exceeding 24 hours may incur a late pick-up fee I normally work from home. So I am almost always available to play and spend time with your furry babies! I am also pretty active and love going on a run/taking walks to nearby parks. I live in an apartment with a spacious, gated yard. I also have a very social cat who gets along well with both dogs and cats. I’ve previously pet sat for friends’ dogs and cats, so I’m familiar with managing multiple pets in the home. If needed, I can keep my cat in my room for the duration of your pet’s stay to make sure your pet has a comfortable, low stress environment.
“Melanie has watched our kitties a few times now. She started out great and as our kitties have gotten more used to her the experience has gotten even better! Our boy loves that she brings a laser and even our super shy girl has started eating in front of her which was a huge win. We appreciate your attention to detail and patience while being with our babies! Melanie is definitely our go-to when we are leaving town. We no longer feel worried or stressed to leave the cats. Thank you so much!”

“Aditi was wonderful with my cats! She went above and beyond to help them feel comfortable while I was gone. I loved her photos and detailed updates. I highly recommend her!!!”

Alexandra was great with my two cats! one requires an inhaler and she had no problem wrangling her for treatment. She was very good about giving each cat what they needed. One is very into play time while the other is all about the cuddles! I felt very confident leaving her with them and will definitely be booking with her again in the future.

Once again, Lauren saves the day! I was able to book her services last minute and she did a great job taking care of my two cats. She’s really kind and loving toward the cats, and very thorough with her care and communication. I felt at ease while I was out of town knowing that Lauren was looking after my cats. Highly recommend!

Yuliia was fantastic with my cat while i was out of the country for over a week!!! She came at the time promised, kept him entertained, and made sure he was well cared for while i was away. I will definitely be asking her to care for him again when i am away. She also got some crazy action shots of him which was great to see.

I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful Riley was with my bulldog, Barkley! Bulldogs have their own unique personalities and specific needs, and Riley handled him like an absolute pro. From the updates and photos to the obvious care and affection Barkley received, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. He came home happy, relaxed, and thoroughly spoiled. If you are looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring sitter for your pup, look no further. Barkley is already looking forward to his next visit! Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend her highly enough. She took care of my senior cat with such care and attention, sending me pictures at every step of the process, which meant the world to me since my cat needs medication and I worry about her constantly. She was incredibly communicative, always arrived on time, and her updates were thorough and detailed. She even went the extra mile when a grocery delivery arrived—she came by this morning, put everything away in the fridge, and made my life so much easier. This is my first time using a Rover sitter and I’m already planning to book her again. She’s exactly the kind of reliable, thoughtful person you want caring for your pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
