“Yuliia was fantastic. As someone who works very long hours, I needed someone to check in on my very social cat during the day. Yuliia was so kind to him, sent me the best photos and videos, played with him, and gave him company while he ate. I could tell he liked having her there. I know will ask Yuliia for her help again!”

About: Hi! My name is Megan, and I'm a college student home for the summer with a flexible schedule thanks to my online classes. I'm a huge animal lover—especially cats—which is why you'll notice a lot of my photos are with cats! I've been caring for my mom's boss's cats for the past 2 years, helped care for and walk my close friend’s two dogs, and am currently walking the lovely Golden Lab on my profile every day in my hometown in the Bay Area. I’m moving to the Los Angeles area on the 29th and will be able for all services in LA after! I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I may be younger than some sitters, but I'm dependable, patient, and genuinely excited to gain more experience doing something I love. Pet sitting is also helping me fund my college education, so I truly appreciate every pet parent, their booking, and the trust that comes with it. I'll follow your instructions carefully, keep your pet’s routine consistent, and send plenty of photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I’m a very active person in my daily life, so I will have no issues with walking, carrying, or other high energy activities I may need to do with your pet! I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members, thanks for considering me! Once the semester starts and I move back to LA on the 29th, my class schedule will be very flexible, with Tuesdays and Fridays off completely. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have classes in the morning. My busier day, Monday, only consists of about 4 hours of class from 9-1:30 so, even at my busiest I am available for afternoon and evening services! I always do my best to maintain every pet’s daily routine to make them feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away.. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home for an extended period of time or stopping by for quick visits, I’ll follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and anything else you need. I believe every pet deserves patience, attention, and plenty of love, and I'll make sure they are well cared for. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you are aware of what your pet is up to, and to give you a little peace of mind while you’re away from them!

“Repeat customer of Marissa here. She's awesome! She actually cares about my baby, is respectful of our things, reliable, kind, and I feel comfortable having her in our home. Lillian has definitely gotten used to having her over and really likes her. We'll definitely keep booking!”

“Anya was wonderful with our cat and managed to give her medication, which is no easy feat! She was lovely, responsive and responsible. Would definitely book her again. Thanks, Anya!”

“We are so happy to have connected with Carleigh. She was just wonderful with my special needs anxious dogs. They can be a handful. But they immediately took to Carleigh. She is a pro, kind, conscientious, and a terrific communicator. They were in great hands. Great experience. Thank you so much Carleigh!”

“Caitlin is Amazing and I think my cat would say so too !! Highly recommend. This is a 3rd time I think I have booked with Caitlin and found her absolutely wonderful to work with !”

“We recently had Brandy drop in on our two cats—a senior cat and a 10 month old kitten— over Memorial Day weekend, and we were thoroughly impressed with the service provided. From the start, Brandy demonstrated a commitment to quality care. Brandy did a fantastic job, providing detailed updates after each visit and catering to our cats' specific feeding needs. The numerous photo updates showcasing the care tasks completed were informative and reassuring, and it was clear that our cats felt comfortable and at ease in Brandy’s presence. Communication was excellent, and we highly recommend her services to others in need of someone to drop in on their pets.”

“Laura once again took wonderful care of our cat, kept a consistent schedule , and made sure we had many pictures each day. We would absolutely recommend Laura :)”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs professionally for 7 years. Active animal shelter volunteer. Dog sitter Extraordinaire! Haha, I do take instruction very well. And always leave with customers satisfied. Pet care is very flexible. I never am away for more than 4 hrs. I’m an early riser, and very active. I’m extremely patient and gentle with my service I don’t break away from the routine that is layered out. I’ve pet sat dogs of all ages. Some with medical conditions. Very good at administering medication. A dogs routine is important and keeping them stimulated while their family is away. I never shy from calling/asking questions when needed. And I never force my energy into an animal. Very big on listening and earning the pets respect. Making the pet sitting experience fun and unstressed for the animal.
“Amanda took great care of our cat Ruby while we were away! She handled Ruby’s fussy feeding needs and medication administration and was able to give her required daily steroid injections. She sent lovely updates about their time together with plenty of photos. Ruby really enjoyed her company and we won’t hesitate to contact Amanda next time we go out of town!”

“Jane was really great to communicate with throughout the process and was incredibly reliable. She took such good care of our cat! She sent photos and updated us on the stays. It gave us the peace or mind to have a vacation without worry.”

“Audrey took amazing care of my two cats! She left detailed notes of each visit and took the cutest photos. I could tell they absolutely loved her, and I will definitely ask her to look after them again!”

“Zach did an excellent job taking care of our cats with drop-in visits while we were away and giving updates after each visit. Would highly recommend his services!”

“Christian took amazing care of my cat DMX and my frogs over the long weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. He was always on time, very attentive, and made sure everyone was comfortable, fed, and well cared for. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about my pets and paid close attention to their routines and needs. DMX absolutely loved him, which is not something I say lightly, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. He also kept me updated and was very dependable throughout the entire stay. I came home to happy, relaxed pets and everything in perfect shape. I would absolutely trust Christian again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter. Definitely a 5-star experience!”

“Great sitters! They took wonderful care of our dog and even spent more time with him in the afternoon and took him on long walks. Would 100% recommend and will book again in the future.”

Marissa took great care of my cat and was also very attentive to our home while we were away. She even managed to get liquid medication down our scaredy-cat's throat! Marissa is also lovely to interact with. Recommend her highly and would absolutely book again.

Yichi is amazing with our cats!!! She gives them their meds and always plays with them although they are not very social and hard to play with. We really appreciate Yichi's care for our kitties and we always have her back as long as she wants to care for our kitties while we are away.

We were so worried when we found out our friend would not be able to help us watch our little kitty while we were out of town for the week. We scrambled and hopped on Rover and found Carolin. She not only was able to help us on short notice but she patiently gained the trust of our shy little girl. We really appreciate Carolin’s help and will definitely use her in future adventures knowing our cat was is good hands.
Catherine was a fantastic cat-sitter! I needed a week's worth of last minute drop in visits and she replied to me immediately. She was so friendly, thorough, and prompt with replies, and most importantly, my baby loved her. She was super attentive to my instructions and I was so grateful she was able to accommodate a day-of-travel delay and add on another drop-in visit. Highly recommend her and would not hesitate to book with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
