“Daniel and Bethany took wonderful care of our bunny. They were attentive and took extra care to make sure that she had a clean crate before we arrived home. Thank you so much for the great care!”

“Aditi was wonderful with my cats! She went above and beyond to help them feel comfortable while I was gone. I loved her photos and detailed updates. I highly recommend her!!!”

“Marissa was an amazing sitter for our two kitties. She immediately put me at ease upon meeting her and I knew our cats would be in great hands. She sent pictures and thorough updates during the visits and our super shy kitten even felt safe enough to make a few appearances. I would recommend her services to anyone and would love to book her again next time we need a sitter. Thank you so much, Marissa!!”

“Victoria was excellent and we will definitely book her again! Communication was great. We came back to a happy kitty after a week long vacation. We highly recommend her if you are looking for a pet sitter!!”

“Molly was amazing at taking care of our cats. We last minute booked a trip and needed someone to help us with the cats. Molly was easy to communicate with, and we felt very comfortable. Can't wait to use her again.”

“Melanie has watched our kitties a few times now. She started out great and as our kitties have gotten more used to her the experience has gotten even better! Our boy loves that she brings a laser and even our super shy girl has started eating in front of her which was a huge win. We appreciate your attention to detail and patience while being with our babies! Melanie is definitely our go-to when we are leaving town. We no longer feel worried or stressed to leave the cats. Thank you so much!”

“Laura is amazing! She stepped in super last minute to take care of my boy when my friend flaked on me WHILE I was out of town. Laura is kind, trustworthy, and very patient. My dog is a bit on the shyer side and she seemed to know exactly what to do on how to gain his trust based on intuition and experience. I can’t recommend her enough and will be hiring her in the future. Thank you again, Laura! 🩷✨”

About: I had two very large dogs growing up. I’ve taken care of them on my own for years. I also quite literally worked at a place called DOG PPL so have been around a multitude of dogs and dog sat for people from the park! I would love to have my own dog, but with my busy schedule, that’s not fair to a pup. Pet sitting allows me to set time aside and get to hang out with other peoples dogs without the responsibility of a lifetime with the dog! While I don’t have the ware with all to have my own, I will 100% be committed to the time that I have your dog with me or in my supervision! I love long walks and getting outside so always happy to take out dogs that need those longer walks OR hang out at home and chill with the more mellow ones or oldies that want less movement time! I am 99% remote. If I do go in person anywhere it’s for a few hours in the day. This happens rarely so working remote gives me a lot of freedom to be home with the pups! By treating them like my own! I love getting to meet new dogs and playing with them or just hanging out on the couch. I have a clean apartment and a roomate that also would love to spend time with a dog without the commitment of adopting one ourselves. Walks, potty breaks, snacks, you name it! Whether you have a strict or flexible schedule, I want to help make your fur babies feel calm and have fun while their parents are away
“Yuulia came to watch my pet bunny for an hour and give him his dinner. She did a great job following my instructions and was eager to help out and accommodate me. She was patient with my shy abs scared boy and tried to hand feed him and make him comfortable.”

“With all of the stress of the holidays, at least I did not have to worry about my kitties. Jane was, once again, attentive to their needs and flexible with her time. Thank you!”

“Great sitters! They took wonderful care of our dog and even spent more time with him in the afternoon and took him on long walks. Would 100% recommend and will book again in the future.”

“Anya is so great - reliable, kind, takes wonderful care of our cat (and administers her medication) and gives great updates and photos. We are so grateful and lucky to have found her!!”

“Madeline took excellent care of Nori! She was always on time, provided above and beyond communication, and took the time to play with Nori each visit. I will absolutely be having her back to watch our cat again!”

About: I've taken care of family and friends' dogs all my life. Here for as many walks as your dog needs! Also happy to take as many photos/videos of them on my visits so that you have peace of mind. Your dog is in good hands! I'm typically free Friday-Monday but can make some exceptions so feel free to ask and I will try to be as flexible as possible to fit your needs. Happy to follow any routines you may have with your pets so please feel free to send me any requests you may have or routes you usually walk your dog.
About: I truly love animals. I don’t just “watch” them — I spend time with them, talk to them, and make sure they feel safe and loved while their family is away. I’m very patient and gentle, especially with pets that are shy, older or a little anxious. I pay attention to the small things — how they like to be touched, if they’re eating well, or if their energy changes — and I always keep you updated with photos or videos so you feel close to them even from far away. I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to love, feed, play and be present with your pets. My days are calm and flexible for them. I create a cozy, safe and peaceful space. I’m gentle, clean, and always pay attention to how they feel. You’ll get updates so your heart stays calm too.
“Thanks Meng for taking a good care of my cat while I was away for a vacation. I know my cat can be difficult to strangers sometimes but Meng took care of my cat well and she also tried to interact with him as much as possible. All litter boxes were clean and water fountain was refilled with fresh water. Very appreciated!”

“Just wanted to give a review on Christine. I worked with her on my last vacation and she is a wonderful care giver to my animals. Always on time and takes the extra effort to get things done..She would be a definite asset to your animal care needs.”

About: I'm a devoted dog mom who treats every pet like family. One thing that sets me apart is that I can offer either solo walks or walks with my friendly Cockapoo, depending on what your dog enjoys most. Whether your pup loves making canine friends or prefers all the attention to themselves, I'll tailor each visit to their needs. I'm dependable, communicative, and love keeping pet parents updated with plenty of photos and notes after each visit. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to incorporate pet care throughout my day. I enjoy getting outside for walks and breaks, so dog walking and drop-in visits are a natural fit for my routine. Because I'm not commuting, I can often accommodate midday walks and check-ins, and I'm available throughout the week to provide reliable, consistent care for your pets. When caring for pets in your home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide walks, potty breaks, fresh water, playtime, and plenty of attention while following all care instructions carefully. For dogs who enjoy extra exercise, walks can include time at the gated dog run in my apartment community, where they can safely run and play off leash (with owner approval). I'll also send updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. 🐾

I can always rely on Mimi to take care of Pabu when I’m away! She checks on his needs well and makes sure his environment is just right for him in addition to basic care. If you want someone who will pay a lot of attention to your furry friend, I highly recommend Mimi :)

Madeline was very gentile and patient with my senior dog who is hard of hearing and is dealing with arthritis. When our elevator broke down, we needed to start carrying our dog up and down the stairs. When we communicated this to Madeline, she was flexible and was willing to learn putting on the special harness. Madeline will ensure your pet is taken care of and I highly recommend her.

Jennifer took amazing care of my cat, Dim Sum, while I was away. She was incredibly communicative and sent detailed updates with lots of pictures after every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind. I truly felt that Dim Sum was in the best hands. Jennifer took the time to pet, brush, and play with her, and it was clear she genuinely cared about her well-being, not just completing the visits. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat and wouldn’t hesitate to book Jennifer again. Highly recommend!

I cannot thank Paige enough for taking care of my cat, Effy, while I was out of town on a last minute trip. This is the second time that Paige has watched Effy and she is truly amazing. She shows up on time, plays with Effy, feeds her and gives her cuddles! She has such a calming presence, Effy is obsessed with her. I’ve already recommended her to my friends with pets in the neighborhood! Cannot recommend her enough!

Isabel has been our recurring cat sitter. She is incredible and takes great care of our cat every time. We are moving and we’re actually so sad that we won’t be able to rebook her! 100/10 would recommend. She’s very communicative and kind. I can tell our cat feels comfy with her :>

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
