“We have hired Maria multiple times to cat sit for us. She gives super thorough updates and is very communicative with us. We will continue to hire her over and over!”

“SLOANE IS THE BEST! My dog Luna absolutely adores her, she gets so excited when she walks through the door. Sloane is not only an animal lover, but she truly understands dogs and can handle my very strong 85 pound pitbull mix, I trust Sloane 100% with my dog (who can be a bit reactive) on walks. Sloane took time to understand my dog and it shows. 10/10 would book Sloane again and again.”

About: I’ve loved dogs my entire life and have over 20 years of experience caring for them. I was a proud dog mom to my cockapoo, Max, and my poodle, Olive, who have both passed — and I truly miss having a dog companion in my daily life. I have experience with senior pets and understand how important patience, gentleness, and consistency are, especially with dogs who may need a slower pace or a little extra care. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic commands and following any training, routines, or special instructions your dog already has in place. Whether your dog needs a calm walk, companionship, or someone attentive and loving while you’re away, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I run my own business and work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be attentive to the pets in my care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays, and I’m able to build my day around your dog’s routine. I live in a very walkable neighborhood in Beverly Hills with plenty of safe places for walks and fresh air. I’m also a homebody by nature, so if your dog is staying with me, they’ll receive calm, dedicated care and plenty of attention. I’m respectful of each pet’s routine and will always follow your instructions closely so your dog feels safe and comfortable.
“Holly has been so great at checking in on my kitties! She’s definitely gone above and beyond to show she cares for them, and even brought them churus (and also asked if it was ok first)! Thanks Holly☺️”

“Wendy was so great! She is friendly and professional and provided detailed reports about how my pet was doing while I was away. Very much appreciated her help and will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

“We have a fearful senior rescue dog with a complicated history, and Liz has been great about doing an initial meet-and-great and then an extended drop-in to spend time with our dog alone. She very much understands how to interact with a fearful dog who needs time to feel trusting. Her experience as the guardian of a rescue dog herself definitely comes into play. She was punctual, cheerful, and generous-minded, and we really appreciate her willingness to work with Penny! We will definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve been around pets and animals my whole life! From dogs, to cats, to different varieties of fish, to guinea pigs, and even turtles! I’m no stranger to taking care of other people’s pets and animals, I watch family member’s pets and ever volunteer at an animal shelter back home in LA. When im back at home not at UCSB I have my 3 dogs (2 middle aged, 1 senior) and 2 cats (one younger, the other middle aged). I’m currently working on campus with two jobs and i have my classes to attend, but in between those times im more than happy to drive to appointments, and im usually free all weekends. All my pet (current and passed) have been and are taken care of 100%. They are my family, and one thing about me is I don’t play about my family!
About: love dogs at every stage of life, from playful puppies to sweet senior companions. I’m attentive, patient, and committed to understanding each dog’s unique needs. I’ll work closely with you to create a schedule that keeps your dog happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I have a consulting business, so I make my own hours and schedule. I can be available with short notice if needed for recurring clients. I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I respect their space and ensure feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions are followed carefully. I prioritize safety, consistency, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Alyssa was able to help us out with short notice. She was very sweet, professional and friendly so we felt completely safe and happy leaving out cat in her care. Good communication & care!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals my whole life, so caring for pets feels completely natural to me. While I don’t have formal credentials, I have a lifetime of hands-on experience and a genuine love for animals that shows in how I treat every pet in my care I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to provide attentive, consistent care for your pet. I’m able to plan my days around walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins to make sure your pet’s routine stays as normal and stress-free as possible. Whether it’s early mornings, evenings, or midday visits, I make pet care a priority and ensure your pet gets the time, attention, and reliability they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I create a calm, clean, and secure environment where pets can feel at ease and cared for like they’re my own. I’m very attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality, and I always take the time to build trust—both with pets and their owners. You can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and respectful of your home and your pet’s boundaries. I’ll keep you updated with regular check-ins, photos, and messages so you always feel confident and reassured while you’re away. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment where your pet feels comfortable, and you feel completely at peace.

About: Lover of all animals! I grew up with multiple pets in our household, including pet rats...would not advise. But mainly dogs! As an adult I've had two dogs, one pitbull and one dachshund and they are my absolute world. I'm looking to extend this love and care to other dogs on weekends and sometimes during the week! I have a full time job but am free on weekends and occasionally during the week. I start my day early with a long walk with my dogs and am then free to walk other dogs throughout the day. Having a lot of experience with dog-walking, I'm able to safely walk your dog and provide them with a calming/fun presence while doing so. I have one reactive dog so I'm very used to reading the environment and understanding when we need to avoid a certain situation or involve distraction.
About: 🐾 Lifelong dog lover with over a decade of experience caring for dogs since the age of 13! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and that passion only continues to grow. I’m a proud dog parent to Brooklyn, an 8-year-old Husky Schnauzer mix who is as friendly as they come — she’s basically a professional at making new friends! Raising Brooklyn has given me hands-on experience with the unique needs of mixed breeds, from exercise and grooming to socialization. When your pup is in my care, they’re not just a client — they’re family. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Your furry best friend is in great hands! 🐶 Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine since I work from home full time for a telecommunications company. Being home all day means I’m always present and attentive — no long stretches where a pup is left alone! My schedule is very flexible, so I can easily adapt to a dog’s feeding times, walks, potty breaks, and playtime without any disruption. Working from home has honestly made me an even better pet caretaker. I’m able to check in constantly, give plenty of attention throughout the day, and quickly respond to any needs. Whether it’s a midday walk or some extra cuddle time, I’m always available. For me, having a dog around while I work is a joy — my own pup Brooklyn is proof of that! I live by myself in a secure apartment building, which means a calm, controlled environment with minimal disruptions for any dog in my care. The building has its own dog park right on-site, making it easy to give pups plenty of outdoor time and socialization without ever having to travel far. I also have access to quiet residential streets perfect for relaxed, enjoyable walks. Since I live alone, dogs in my home get my undivided attention — no chaotic household, no strangers coming and going. My own dog Brooklyn is friendly and welcoming, so any dog staying with me will have a built-in companion to help them feel right at home. For in-home visits at a client’s home, I follow the owner’s established routine as closely as possible, ensuring their dog feels comfortable and secure in their own familiar environment. I always make sure feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions are followed to the letter.

Jeniffer did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats while I was traveling, providing very detailed updates and plenty of pictures throughout her visits. Would definitely recommend, and will be using her again in the future for taking care of Kiwi and Clem. Thank you for taking such good care of them!
I was thrilled to learn that Alicia was available for a 2nd booking to do drop-in visits for my cat. She was very prompt with her responses, followed directions well, and took some great pictures every visit. But most importantly, Alicia took excellent care of my boy, Austin !! He really enjoyed eating, playing, and hanging out during her visits.
I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful Riley was with my bulldog, Barkley! Bulldogs have their own unique personalities and specific needs, and Riley handled him like an absolute pro. From the updates and photos to the obvious care and affection Barkley received, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. He came home happy, relaxed, and thoroughly spoiled. If you are looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring sitter for your pup, look no further. Barkley is already looking forward to his next visit! Highly recommend!

Scott is absolutely amazing! He has cared for Dexter several times, but since we are heading out for a 3-week vacation (our longest time away from Dexter yet), I was feeling a bit anxious. Scott kindly made time to come by for walkthrough before our trip. Seeing Dexter so excited to see him and seeing that Scott remembered his entire routine perfectly, gave me total peace of mind. We are so grateful to have him watching Dexter in our home!

Elizabeth helped take care of our two big dogs at the last minute due to a family emergency. She was able to meet the dogs before we left and got along well with them. She came early in the morning to let them out and late to put them out before bed. She kept us updated with pictures in the rover card. We look forward to having her walk our dogs in the future. Thank you again!!

I took a chance booking Janelle last minute for over two weeks of daily visits and I’m so glad I did! She was so sweet and communicative, cleaned up after my kitty in multiple ways, and even took out my trash at the end of the job. I will definitely be booking with Janelle again!

Super last-minute trip meant usual sitters weren't available so I turned to Rover. James was incredibly prompt, professional, and helpful in his replies and lucky for me (and my cat) he was available for a last minute booking. I booked two drop-ins per day for a week and he went above and beyond to care for my baby. He sent thorough reports and adorable pics each visit, paid great attention to detail, and did an overall fantastic job. Highly recommend James for pet care and wouldn't hesitate to book him again. I think my cat actually MISSES his playtime buddy.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Beverly Hills. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
