About: I’ve always loved animals. Today I regularly cat-sit the sweetest elderly kitty who is blind and requires multiple medications daily. I’ve also cared for a family of three rambunctious cats who require lots of play time. When I got my first poodle puppy at age 17, I was thrilled. I slept on the couch to comfort her back to sleep while she was crate training and loved teaching her “sit” and “stay.” Before that, I cared for a family friend’s reactive elderly rescue chihuahua and managed the challenge of walking him in a busy suburb where he feared other dogs. He may have presented challenges, but he was the sweetest dog and I loved every minute of his care. I’m a film industry freelancer. During the week, I normally have at least two days off to dedicate to your pet(s). Sometimes I have month-long projects followed by several weeks off to care for your fur babies! About: I'm new to Rover, but very much not new to pets! I've volunteered with my local Humane Society, as well as worked for an overnight kennel service. In both of those situations, I was largely placed with dogs - giving them playtime, food, treats, and oral medication - although we also served cats. While kennels are an option, it's better to keep a pet in their own home whenever possible. Which is where I come in! I'm currently WFH so my schedule is flexible at the moment. [WALKS] I'm able to give walks in my service area from roughly 9am to 6pm. I can comfortably take up to 3 small dogs at a time, or two medium sized dogs. I'm open to walking large breeds (Labrador sized or bigger) if they are solo. If you have mixed sizes, please reach out and we'll talk about it. [HOME SITS] If your pet needs medication or walks either very early or very late, I recommend booking an overnight. I'm the farthest thing from a party animal and will guaranteed be indoors with your pet from 8pm to 7am. During the day, I will most likely be working (home office space a huge plus!) or stepping out for a few hours to run personal errands. If I have late night plans for any reason, I will clear it with you ahead of time. Will provide at least one update per day during my visit, including photos. We can also go over emergency plans and vet contact info during the meet-up.

She was able to coax her out of her hiding spots, and after a few days and churus later, she was able to share lots of love and affection with her! On top of that she eased my anxiety of being away from my Winnie cat for more than a couple of days with her kind and thorough updates and lots of photos. She even left food out for the feral cats I feed daily even though she didn’t have to. She had quick responses and was very thorough in updating with pictures for all the pet tasks (took pictures of clean kitty litter, filled water bowls, etc). My more social cat got good play time and she always checked up on the shy/hiding cat each visit while giving the shy one space. We had an unexpected heat wave while I was away, and she was also kind enough to turn on the AC for my cats exactly as requested.

Gabriel was wonderful with our two Bengals! Anyone with Bengals knows they're a lot of cat: high energy, curious, and very opinionated. Paige is great with cats! Houdini is a little scaredy cat and not very social but Paige managed to win him over and I got a ton of cute pictures and videos! Paige was consistent with showing up around the same time every day, which was much appreciated. I want to say Houdini was almost upset when he saw me walking through the door! I was initially nervous with leaving Houdini but seeing how good Paige was with him the first day I was way less worried and was able to enjoy my trip knowing he was taken care of. Will be rebooking in the future!
Cecily was absolutely wonderful with my cat Arrow! She was communicative, reliable, and sent great photos and updates, which really helped put my mind at ease while I was on vacation. I felt completely comfortable knowing Arrow was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend Cecily and would happily have her sit for Arrow again.
