I can work to be flexible in any situation that may arise! I am currently working full-time on the weekdays but I am able to fit any pet care into my daily routine as I am flexible. “Yuliia did a great job with my cat Pablo who is a little shy but I know he appreciates what she did as well. Very attentive, responsive, and helped make my cat feel safe while I was gone.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all kinds my entire life. From Schnauzers to big mutts to German Shepards, I take a calm and loving approach to dogs. I’m used to “mean” cats and respect their personal space. I volunteer at Stray Cat Alliance and have fostered cats as well. I am available for boarding and sitting Fri-Sun. Weekdays I can walk or do drop ins morning and evening. I can be more flexible depending on distance. I have a fenced backyard with turf. I have no pets of my own and have a smoke/vape free home. I live in a neighborhood that is easily walkable.
“Lainee was wonderful with my cats for three weeks while I was away. She is so caring and gentle with my boys and didn’t hesitate to help out with any issues that came up. They were so happy and well taken care of upon my return. Definitely will ask Lainee to look after my boys in future. I am so grateful!”

“Rachel was very easy to communicate with and great with our kitty! Leaving a pet in the hands of stranger while on vacation can be scary but Rachel helped alleviate our worries with her clear and apparent love for animals! Would definitely recommend 10/10.”

About: Hi there! I have been a dog lover my whole life. We got our first dog when I was 14 years old. Although it was our family dog, due to the bond we created, he quickly became attached to me and I became his caretaker. After he passed, we got another dog (Brody), three times the size, so I am used to dogs small, medium, and large!! Since moving from home, I miss Brody so much and need to get my dog fix in. While I don't currently have my own furry companion (yet), I love using Rover to help take care of pets for others! It's a great way to meet people in the area, do something nice/good for someone else, and get to spend time with puppers :) Its a win-win-win! I work full-time remotely from home so I'll be around the doggo all day and can play with them whenever I have some down time! The dogs are allowed on furniture so they can make themselves as comfy cozy as they want whenever they want (unless instructed otherwise by the owner)
“Ryan did a drop in visit for our cat while we were out of town. He was professional, thorough and did everything we needed. We also appreciated him moving our package out of the sun. Would definitely book again”

About: I've been a dog walker, dog lover, dog groomer, dog kisser, dog snuggler, dog hugger, dog teacher and dog admirer since the day I was born. Growing up, my family always had a dog around the house. We had Mandy Dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer), Winnie (fluffy-sunshine-mix-a-doodle) and Paris (Australian Shepherd/Pitbull mix) at various stages of my youth. When I was 12, I raised my first puppy (a lil fluffy Golden named Lucy) and I taught her everything from sit to play dead. In high school I was a dog bather for a local dog groomer. From this job I learned about different breed personalities, needs and care. Currently, I work from home and would love to care for your friend. I'm very flexible on timing and availability. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I can do same-day visits on the west side. Whatever you and your pet need I will try to accommodate. My front yard is enclosed and safe for sniffing and hanging out but I will be walking your pets all around my area (avoiding the canals) and playing with them on the beach (unless you don't want this/they don't enjoy that).
About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring animal lover with experience taking care of dogs and other pets of all sizes and personalities. I understand how important it is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have a Miniature Australian Shepherd of my own, so I’m very familiar with energetic, intelligent dogs and the attention and care they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, overnight care, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like family and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. I work part-time for myself, so I have a flexible schedule and can usually be available as long as I receive notice ahead of time. I genuinely enjoy being active with dogs, whether that means long walks, playing fetch, going to the park, or helping them burn off energy and stay happy. I love spending time with animals and making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and care while you’re away. When caring for your dog in your home, I will make sure to follow all of your instructions closely to keep your pet comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I treat every home with respect and ensure everything stays clean, safe, and exactly how you left it. I will provide fresh water, regular feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention so your dog feels relaxed and secure in their familiar environment. My goal is to reduce any stress your pet may feel while you’re away by giving them consistent care, affection, and companionship right in their own home. For longer stays I prefer my dog accompany me. She is 1.5 years old, trained, and extremely friendly.

About: Just moved from Seattle to Venice beach. Starting over and rebuilding my boarding clientele. My boyfriend and I have a beautiful one bedroom apartment with a fenced outdoor space just steps from the beach. We have three dogs which consist of two seniors and one lazy one. In Seattle I had an upward for 40 or so regular clients whose dogs I cared for over many years. It was tough saying goodbye but I’m excited to rebuild and make new dog friends here in Venice :) Dogs have been my world since I was a kid. I started out working in dog daycares and boarding facilities where I learned a lot about pack behavior, safety, and reading different personalities. I later moved into grooming, which I still enjoy doing sometimes. Over the years I’ve also been involved in foster care and rescue for dogs in high kill shelters later helping dogs find homes. I most recently spent seven years working in veterinary medicine so I’m very comfortable recognizing health issues and caring for dogs with different needs. When pets stay with me, they become part of the household. I keep a calm, structured environment with lots of attention, play, and rest time. Dogs have access to comfy spots to relax, supervised social time if they enjoy other dogs, and consistent routines so they feel secure, safe, and genuinely at home.

About: Ive cared for and grew up around pets all my life💙. Some want nonstop play and zoomies, others just want a cozy buddy to sit with—and I’m happy to be both (and everything in between!). I care for cats and dogs of all ages, from curious little ones to wise seniors, always adjusting my approach to what makes them feel safest and happiest. What is your pets favorite toy? Favorite game? Favorite area to walk in? I work from home & plan my routine around the pets I’m caring for, making sure they get lots of attention, playtime, and cozy companionship throughout the day. I love creating a gentle, happy rhythm so they feel safe, relaxed, and right at home. 🐾 Meet and greets deff help set the tone! But I usually follow their usual routine as closely as possible—meals, walks, playtime, and all the little habits that make them happy. Whether that’s energetic play, quiet cuddles, or just being a calm, familiar presence, I adjust to what your pet needs most. I’m also very mindful of your space, keeping things tidy and peaceful so you can come home to a happy pet and a calm, cared-for home. 🐾

About: Hey everyone! I am a playful soul who loves animals above all else ( I just donated my birthday to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund) I used to walk dogs at an animal shelter in LA "No Kill Los Angeles" and miss being around them as I grew up on a farm in Australia with lots of animals! I raised many myself and have a very nurturing personality. A great memory is taking the dogs for a walk in the bush every morning. I even took my dogs through Puppy Preschool so I know how to train them as well. I would love to walk, treat and care for your doggo like they were my own :) For a reference from the dog shelter please feel free to ask and i'll pass it on. Looking forward to meeting you and your best friend, Kel

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marina del Rey
Rachel did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of Rico on very short notice. From the moment I dropped Rico off, it was clear he was in capable hands. Rachel’s communication was steady and reassuring: quick updates, photos, and notes about Rico’s meals and walks, which helped me feel at ease while I was away. She was amazing, thank you! Rico was well-cared-for, and clearly comfortable in Rachel’s care. She supervised his play, kept feeding on schedule, and paid extra attention to his favorite activities and comfort needs. It’s rare to find someone who can step in on short notice with such reliability, warmth, and professionalism.

This was our second time booking Allison to watch our 2 cats, and she was phenomenal again as always! She’s super thoughtful, sends the best pics, and really bonds with our pets. I think my cats will be very excited to see her again soon for our third booking!

Very responsive, very detail oriented. Asked lots of great questions at the meet and greet beforehand and at the first drop in. Happily did everything I asked to take care of my two cats with very specific needs. They were comfortable with her quickly and so was I.

I can always rely on Mimi to take care of Pabu when I’m away! She checks on his needs well and makes sure his environment is just right for him in addition to basic care. If you want someone who will pay a lot of attention to your furry friend, I highly recommend Mimi :)

Emilie was amazing! She sent numerous photos every night, not just of the kitties but of them eating, her playing with them and, most importantly, loving on my babies. In fact, I’m pretty sure one of my kitties was looking for the first day we were back, at the time Emilie normally came! It sure made being away from my babies as we said our final goodbye to my mother that much easier.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
