About: I’m a caring, reliable, and attentive animal lover who takes so much pride in being trusted to care for someone’s beloved family member. 🐾 I’ve loved animals my entire life and have been a dog owner for more than 10 years. My late dog had a disability and special needs, which taught me firsthand just how important it is to have someone you can trust to be patient, attentive, and fully present with your pet, whatever their individual needs may be. I’m also currently raising a puppy, so I understand the other end of the spectrum too! I’m comfortable with the energy, patience, consistency, and hands-on attention that younger dogs need. currently work from home three days a week and have availability during weekday evenings and most weekends. Whether your pet needs a walk, some playtime, extra attention, or simply a loving companion while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m also in the process of obtaining pet sitter insurance for added peace of mind for both you and me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I’d love the opportunity to help make that a little easier! 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine! I currently work from home three days a week, which gives me added flexibility throughout the week. I’m generally available for walks and drop-in visits on weekday evenings, as well as throughout most weekends. As a dog owner myself, walks, playtime and feeding are already part of my everyday life. I’m happy to work with your pet’s existing routine and do my best to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while they’re in my care. Every pet has their own personality, routine, and individual needs, so I always do my best to follow the care instructions and schedule they’re most comfortable with. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them for a walk, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, exercise, and care. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior, energy, appetite, or anything else that may seem out of the ordinary and will always keep you updated, whether that’s through pictures or videos. Having cared for both a special needs dog and a puppy, I understand that some pets may need a little extra patience or hands-on care. I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
About: I am looking to provide dog walking services, along with any pet sitting for either dogs or cats. I had a dog who recently passed away so I have been missing taking care of her. I also have a cat, so I know how cats need care and attention. I work full time but have a lot of flexibility on Fridays and weekends. I have a friendly cat at home who gets along with all dogs. I have been a doting pet parent and will treat your pet like my own.

About: I’ve spent years around dogs of all sizes and personalities—energetic puppies, mellow seniors, and everything in between. Whether that’s long walks, runs, play sessions, or just quiet company, I adjust to each dog’s unique needs and energy level. I’m comfortable with basic training reinforcement, giving medications, and keeping a consistent routine so your pet feels secure while you’re away. Because I’m active myself, I love giving dogs plenty of exercise—whether that’s neighborhood walks or longer outdoor adventures. At the same time, I know when a pet just needs patience, calm, and extra TLC. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. Because I work remotely, I'm home throughout the day and available for pet care at virtually any time. Whether it's midday walks, feeding schedules, or just keeping a furry friend company, I can easily weave it into my routine without any disruption. Pets in my care are never left alone for long — I'm always just a room away! When caring for pets, safety and comfort always come first. In your home, I make sure to stick to your pet’s routine so they feel secure—whether that means feeding schedules, walks, or bedtime rituals. I’m attentive to details like locking doors, checking gates, and making sure your pet has water, food, and a cozy spot to relax. I believe trust comes from consistency, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or quiet companionship, I create an environment where your pet feels safe, cared for, and happy while you’re away.
About: For about 20 years, I have taken care of a wide array of pets, including reptiles, cats, and dogs of all sizes. I’ve spent countless hours taking care of dogs ranging from French Bulldogs, Fox Terriers, Pomeranians, to Boxers, Rottweilers, and Great Danes. My schedule allows me to be extremely flexible with when I can take care of pets. I’m available 7 days a week, overnight care, and extended stays. The most important factors of pet care are dependent on the pet itself. Every pet is different and I would tailor my care based on taking in as much feedback as possible from the pet owner. From there, I create an environment that fits that pet to the specifications the owner and I discuss.
About: I grew up around animals and have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a teenager. Animals may not speak human languages, but I truly believe they are excellent communicators when you tune in to their energies. I am working in evening and will have all morning available to spend with my furry friends! I am available in the mornings 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. I am respectful of your personal space and believe in the concept of leaving no trace! I am also available via cell if you have any special instructions, requests, or questions.
“I had a last minute drop-in request with Eileen and she was able to check on my pups on the same day! She was very prompt with her responses and updates. Over text, Eileen seemed very friendly. My pups looked happy in the photos as well. I would definitely book with Eileen again :)”

About: I grew up with 2+ dogs in my house since I was 5 years old. Primarily vizslas, but also a few terrier mixes. I love all dogs (an abnormal amount), am a very active person, and miss having my own dog. I’ve had one dog of my own who I trained on my own and with puppy school and was very well behaved. I have done pet sitting and walking in the past and am currently just out of graduate school and looking to fill some time before I start full time work. I’m currently a part time professional cyclists so I have lots of time for dog love. My ex currently has my dog so I’m desperate to have some dog love around as well. I would take our (8lb) dog for 2 beach walks a day, usually around 2-3 miles each. I have a fenced yard myself and my own transportation. I’m happy to accommodate however you best see your pets being cared for. Whether it’s a long walk or just company for the animal

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marina del Rey
Allison is just the best! There was a medical scare while we were away, and she brought our cat to the emergency vet, gave medication, and took care of her afterwards to make sure everything was ok. She always goes above and beyond, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after our cats!

One of my cats had surgery a week before we had to leave town for a wedding and Alex was so fantastic at handling the special circumstances we were in with the incision and his food/med schedule (and my anxiety). She was communicative and thorough and obviously fantastic with cats. Very grateful for Alex!

Amy was absolutely wonderful!!! I have a senior cat with a very intense medication/feeding protocol and was so worried to leave him for one night. She absolutely made me feel at ease and I was able to truly enjoy my friends bday celebration. I will definitely have her watch my kit kats again. Thank you Amy!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
