Loving, responsible pet care in SM
I've been taking care of animals my entire life, from my own dogs and cats, to those of friends and neighbors, and now I do it professionally part time. I work from home and my husband is retired so our flexible schedules allow us to spend quality time with your pet during the day, for overnight boarding, and extended stays. We provide a quiet, loving environment, making us a good fit for animals with separation anxiety, or seniors who need constant care or medication. We do not leave dogs by themselves during their stay with us. Since we live in an upstairs apartment, dogs that are a good match for us are fairly quiet and well behaved and can settle down between play and walk time. But I'm happy to do drop ins and walks for puppies and rambunctious pups! **Pick-up and/or Drop-off** is available for an additional fee. Price depends on distance. If interested in this service please inquire and I can add the fee to your invoice.

Heather is the best. Both my cats loved her and we had a stress-free vacation because she took care of everything. One cat needs an insulin injection with his meals and Heather was experienced with that which was a dream. Thank you Heather!
Heather takes extreme care with our little Teddy during his stay with her. She's very attentive, patient and loving, especially when he becomes finicky about eating. He's a little guy who needs to be close and she welcomed all of his snuggles. Heather quickly became accustom to Teddy's routine and anticipated his every need. She sent us photos and notes about how he was doing a few times each day so we felt very connected to him while we were gone. Heather is truly exceptional. We know that Teddy is in the absolute best hands when he's with her.
We hired Heather for drop-in visits when a last-minute trip came up, and after our experience, I highly recommend her. Heather came right over for a meet-and-greet, and it took only seconds for her and Oliver to become best friends. In fact, when we came home from our trip, he told us that he wants to live with Mrs. Heather now. While we were gone, she provided Oliver with food (which has medications involved), cleaned his litter, played with him, brushed him, fed him treats, gave him love, and even cleaned up. Major Kudos: Oliver requires this transdermal medication applied within his ear. This is something that's difficult even for me to apply, so I sort of accepted it'd be impossible for anyone else. And yet, Heather was able to apply it—all four times. Oh, and all of the pictures she sent were like... professional. My cat looked like a model. So I mean, really, does it get better than that? Heather is a wonderful sitter, and unless Oliver chooses to move in with her, we'll be hiring her again.

Heather was awesome in all aspects. She took Hamilton for multiple walks and sent so many photos of him playing with all of her toys. She is super communicative and is obviously a tremendous friend to all dogs. Thanks Heather!
Heather was fantastic with my frenchie. She was very flexible, responsive and a safe pair of hands for my elderly dog.

Schedule
Having animals in my apartment with me makes the days better and I tailor my own work schedule around them. Pets can make themselves at home, are allowed on the furniture, go where they want to and can sleep the bed if they want to. I have doggie stairs for little ones, lots of clean, comfy blankets, plus balls and toys. I LOVE to walk and am happy to provide as many outside breaks as necessary, as well as long energetic walks for dogs who enjoy exercise.

Our apartment has a security screen door for fresh air and views, and many securely screened windows for cats who enjoy bird and squirrel watching. I am a licensed and insured pet care business and have experience with special diets and administering medications, including pills, liquids, transdermals, subcutaneous injections and fluids.
A typical day
Your pet/s will get lots of attention, walks around the neighborhood and/or to several local parks. I tailor activities to your pet's needs, whether it is frequent potty breaks, or longer energetic walks. I'm also happy to walk with a front pack or push a stroller for senior or special needs dogs. As you can see from my profile I love to take pet pictures and I'm happy to send lots of updates throughout the day!
