About: Years with my own dog taught me that dogs have a few universal talents: finding the muddiest puddle, convincing you they haven’t eaten in days five minutes after dinner, and making every walk an adventure. Volunteering at a shelter reminded me that behind all those funny moments is something even more important—every dog wants to feel safe, understood, and loved. I’ve become pretty fluent in “dog language.” 🐶 That’s why I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and earn their trust. I think it’s the best part of spending time with them. My skills: * Understanding dog behavior and body language * Building trust with dogs of different personalities * Patient and gentle handling * Caring for dogs of different ages and temperaments * Following detailed care instructions * Providing companionship, play, and attention My schedule allows me to dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, and giving each dog the individual attention they need. I understand that dogs feel happiest and most comfortable when they can keep their familiar routine. I do my best to create a calm, safe, and consistent environment that feels as close to home as possible while their family is away. I work full-time, seven days a week, so I’m available to provide reliable and consistent care for your pets whenever you need it. Before caring for your pet, I like to learn the little details that make them unique — their favorite activities, walking habits, how they communicate, and what helps them feel comfortable. During each walk, visit, or house sitting stay, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing how your furry friend is doing. My goal is simple: for your dog to feel like they’re spending time with someone they trust!

About: Hi! I’m Henrique (Hicu), and I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I have experience caring for my own dog, Johnny, as well as helping family and friends with their pets. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and enjoy long walks, playtime, and making sure every pet feels safe and cared for. My background as a rowing coach has taught me responsibility, patience, and attention to detail, and I’ll care for your pet with the same dedication I bring to my work. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I currently have a flexible schedule and will do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine. I’m available for drop-in visits throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends when scheduled in advance. My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care and make sure your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. During every visit, I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, bathroom breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’ll also keep your home secure, follow any special instructions carefully, and send updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

My passion for animals is endless, and I always love and care for any animal as I do my own. Whether big or small, I’m experienced, reliable, and committed to keeping your pets happy, safe, and active. I’m currently working part time and taking online classes so I have plenty of time. I spend a lot of my time with my own dog and could certainly share that time with yours! My dog, Dobby, loves having a friend around! We’ve had foster dogs in our apartment and they all adjust quite nicely. We don’t have a yard but we spend a lot of time outdoors going on hikes, walks and going to the dog park. I have gates to separate dogs if I need to as well.

About: I work as a dog handler and walker at an animal shelter, where I regularly care for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I have hands-on experience with reactive, shy, high-energy, and senior dogs, and I’m comfortable handling challenging behaviors with patience and calm leadership. I’ve also fostered dogs and have my own large dog, so I understand the importance of safe handling, structure, and consistency. Every walk and visit is tailored to your dog’s individual needs whether that means confidence-building, controlled exercise, or a calm, supportive approach. Your dog will be treated with respect, understanding, and genuine care. 🐾 I work from home and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening walks or visits, depending on the day. I plan my schedule around the dogs I care for, making sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and reliable care throughout the week. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured, and engaging walks tailored to each dog. I follow your dog’s routine, leash preferences, and any training cues you use. I’m attentive to body language and environment, especially for reactive or shy dogs, and adjust pace, routes, and handling to keep walks calm and positive. In your home, I make sure dogs have fresh water, proper gear, and a calm transition before and after walks. Walks are never rushed whether your dog needs structured exercise, confidence-building, or a relaxed stroll. Safety, consistency, and your dog’s comfort always come first.
“Lili was truly a life saver when I needed someone to come check on my cat Maisie urgently. She was there within 2 minutes and was super prompt with feeding her, making sure the balcony door was closed, finding her hiding under the bed. It was an urgent situation and I couldn’t have been happier that Lili was up for the job because she went above and beyond. You MUST book for your pets too, she is an expert and great with animals!”

About: I’ve owned dogs for the past decade and currently have a small 8 month old puppy named Sugar. She loves other dogs and is so playful. She’s very sweet and submissive, she loves big and small dogs of all sorts. I have an incredibly flexible schedule and I walk Sugar at least 4-5 times a day. She would love a pal to walk, hang, and play with throughout the day. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and a patio that’s puppy proof. My courtyard is gated for extra security and safety. I have no problem with dogs on the couch (I even have a mini staircase).
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with French bulldogs and have cared for many different breeds, including Pomeranians, Pugs, Shih Tzus, Golden Retrievers, and mixed breeds. I love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for. Pet care fits well into my schedule because I enjoy spending my evenings (after 6pm Monday-Friday, with the exception of Wednesday being after 7pm) and weekends staying active and caring for animals. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting outside of my work hours, and I prioritize being dependable and consistent for every pet I care for. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay comfortable in their own environment, so I focus on maintaining their normal routine and making them feel safe. I follow all owner instructions carefully, keep their home clean and respected, and provide regular updates so they know their pet is receiving loving attention.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I previously provided pet care through Rover years ago and I am excited to recently be back! I also worked at PetSmart as an Animal Care Specialist and have been dog walking and pet sitting since college. I regularly care for dogs and cats for friends and family and treat every pet like my own. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I’m available anytime after 6:00 pm. My hybrid work schedule gives more flexibility. I have a big open spaced apartment that gives plenty of space. About: About Me: Hi, I’m Lucinda! I provide small-group, in-home dog boarding in Pacific Palisades for families in Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu, and surrounding West LA areas. Why Dogs (and Owners) Love Staying Here 🐾 Intentionally small group setting 🌿 Large, fully fenced private yard 🧠 Experienced with high-energy and anxious dogs ❤️ Individualized attention, never a kennel environment Caring for dogs isn’t just what I do, it’s what I love. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your dog feels completely safe, engaged, and cared for, not “boarded.” The Environment: Dogs have access to a large, secure backyard where they can run and play on natural grass. Inside, the home is engaging and structured so dogs who need attention or routine feel supported. Special Experience: • Large breeds • High-energy dogs • Dogs with mild anxiety • Pups who need confidence-building or are "still learning" Every dog is treated like family, with consistency and affection so they feel secure while you’re away. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. I send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re safe, engaged, and happy. — Lucinda I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. Walks outside in nature, structured playtime in the large yard, rest breaks, and meals are part of a steady routine so dogs feel secure and settled. Your pet is never left alone for long stretches and always has supervision and engagement. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I host so every pup receives focused supervision and individualized attention. I follow each dog’s regular routine closely — including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and bedtime habits, so they feel comfortable and confident while you’re away. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
