“Sophia was absolutely wonderful. She is a fantastic walker and sitter who is punctual, communicative, and puts the dog's well-being first. When my dog was feeling anxious and refusing walks during the visits, Sophia handled it beautifully—she adapted very well, sat down to comfort my dog, and communicated with me. She made sure my dog was well-fed and cared for. Will be booking her again in the future!”

“Alena was kind, very responsive & communicated throughout the trip making my mind at ease. She asked questions and went above & beyond. Highly recommend! My dog & cat loved her. Thank you Alena!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats in the home and miss having a little friend around. I recently was a dog / house sitter through WorkAway in New Zealand and loved being able to see a new area on walks with a pet. In high school I volunteered with Michelson Found Animals Shelter as well as Best Friends Animal Society in Utah for a Summer. I love all animals - every shape, color, and size! I'm currently living at home for the Summer after spending the year traveling in New Zealand and unemployed. I've got all the time in the world to spend time with your pet outside of hanging out with my family. I'm very diligent and know I can keep your pet safe. I am happy to give them freedom to roam or make sure they stay in your preferred safe zones - whatever you tell me is best!
About: About Me: Hi, I’m Lucinda! I provide small-group, in-home dog boarding in Pacific Palisades for families in Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu, and surrounding West LA areas. Why Dogs (and Owners) Love Staying Here 🐾 Intentionally small group setting 🌿 Large, fully fenced private yard 🧠 Experienced with high-energy and anxious dogs ❤️ Individualized attention, never a kennel environment Caring for dogs isn’t just what I do, it’s what I love. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your dog feels completely safe, engaged, and cared for, not “boarded.” The Environment: Dogs have access to a large, secure backyard where they can run and play on natural grass. Inside, the home is engaging and structured so dogs who need attention or routine feel supported. Special Experience: • Large breeds • High-energy dogs • Dogs with mild anxiety • Pups who need confidence-building or are "still learning" Every dog is treated like family, with consistency and affection so they feel secure while you’re away. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. I send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re safe, engaged, and happy. — Lucinda I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. Walks outside in nature, structured playtime in the large yard, rest breaks, and meals are part of a steady routine so dogs feel secure and settled. Your pet is never left alone for long stretches and always has supervision and engagement. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I host so every pup receives focused supervision and individualized attention. I follow each dog’s regular routine closely — including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and bedtime habits, so they feel comfortable and confident while you’re away. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15 years old! I grew up with an English lab (VINNIE). I have a dog of my own, who is full of joy , love, and energy. He is a toy poodle. Animals have always been attracted to me because of my warm personality and affection. I am a model signed with a large agency in LA. I have lots of down time when I am not shooting, so my day is wide open for walks :) I am very clean and organized, making sure that your doggie has everything he/she needs to be comfortable and happy. All I need is the leash, and we will be on our way for the walk:)
“Jessica was amazing! Took great care of my pup with multiple updates throughout the day and went the extra mile to make sure he was happy. Especially loved the extra pictures as well! 10/10 couldn't recommend her enough!”

“Karlie was great! Very communicative and seems to have won over even our skittish cat with ease. We came home after a long weekend to two very happy cats, and what more can you ask for?”

About: I've been an animal lover my whole life, and for 14 years I had the privilege of caring for my German Shepherd, who I sadly lost recently. That experience taught me a lot about the patience, routine, and attention that dogs, especially as they age, really need. I'm open to caring for senior dogs and know how to watch for the little things that make them comfortable, but I also love caring for high energy puppies and the work that goes into them. Growing up, I regularly walked and watched neighbors' and friends' dogs, so I'm used to adapting to different personalities and routines. I'll treat your pet like my own, whether they need a a walking buddy or overnight stay! I am currently home on summer break, so I am available full time to care for your animals! Mornings and afternoons are best for me, but I am happy to work around your schedule and needs. Your pet's safety and comfort is my top priority. I have a large, fenced backyard, so your dog can safely run and play without any worry about escaping. My neighborhood is very walkable, with several nearby parks that allow [off-leash play / dogs], which makes it easy to mix up walks and exploration to keep things interesting. Inside my home, pets have a calm, comfortable space to relax, with regular potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I keep a consistent routine so pets feel secure, while staying flexible to match each pet's individual needs — whether that means extra rest for a senior dog or more playtime and structure for a puppy. I always supervise pets closely, especially in the yard or during walks, and keep emergency contact info and vet details on hand just in case.
About: My pet care experiences ranges from having pets starting at a young age (I have two Beagles currently), to having been a dog-walker for the last 5 years (full-time for 3). When it comes to dog walking, I have worked dogs of all shapes and sizes, from Chihuahuas to Bernese Mountain Dogs. No matter the breed, I love and cherish my time with them. I am a full-time dog walker. The majority of my afternoons are available for walking or drop in visits. My mornings occasionally do have availability, depending on if my recurring walks cancel or reschedule to a later time. When it comes to dog walking, I am very careful when letting myself in and out of a client's home. I am very comfortable with using all sorts of leashes or harnesses and have the experience to deescalate situations when the pet is unsure of a stranger (me) entering his or her home.
“Keitel was easy to communicate with and his passion for dogs and for helping out us dog owners are obvious. I really appreciate the pics of the hour he spent with my puppy, Henry, as well as his text of how much he enjoyed his time with Henry. I will definitely book him again!”

About: I’ve had pets as long as I can remember. My last pet, my soul dog Bella, lived to be 18. We traveled the country together and I got the privilege of being her mommy from 8 weeks old to a little over 18. She has changed my life in so many ways and inspired me to help all other animals in need. I’m extremely caring, attentive and loving. I will treat your pet as if it is my own. However, I’m a bit of a spoiler when it comes to animals but I will lead in anyway that you would expect of me. I look forward to connecting with you and more importantly, your fur babies. I’m currently working 4 days a week as an Esthetician but I will always find time for my babies. My favorite time of day is when I get to be at home snuggling my pup and kitty. I always keep a close eye on my pets and keep anything potentially harmful well out of reach. I always pick up on their anxiousness or when they are not feeling well, and will go completely out of my way to make sure they’re ok!

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have always enjoyed company of an animal. I have also helped neighbors with their dogs with feeding, walks, and accompanying them. I am capable of lifting dogs of higher weights in the case it’s necessary. I am actively looking for work as such, I can be available at any time in the day and all week long when requested to do a service. I have my own dog who gets walked an ample distance a day and play within the house. As for a potential clients animal, I would follow all given instructions and make sure the animal is well cared for during the time I am there.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have two dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I also volunteered at a local dog shelter, where I walked dogs, fed them, cleaned their kennels, and helped provide daily care. In addition, I’ve fostered dogs in the past, which gave me experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and understand the importance of providing them with attentive, reliable, and loving care. My schedule is currently very flexible, as I am actively searching for a part-time 9-5 position and am not working at the moment. This allows me to accommodate a wide range of booking requests and availability needs. Occasionally, I commute between Los Angeles and Corona to visit family. If this ever impacts my availability, I will communicate with clients as early as possible and keep my schedule updated to ensure there are no surprises. Clear communication is important to me, and I will always make sure clients are informed of any changes. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. This includes feeding them on schedule, providing fresh water, taking them on walks, cleaning up after them, administering basic care as instructed, and giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I also make sure the home stays clean and that owners receive regular updates and photos so they can feel confident their pet is being well cared for while they’re away.

“Liliana agreed to help out last minute and walk our two dogs while we had to be out for a longer time during the day. She always goes above and beyond and they had a great time. Liliana is a natural with dogs.”

“Lili was truly a life saver when I needed someone to come check on my cat Maisie urgently. She was there within 2 minutes and was super prompt with feeding her, making sure the balcony door was closed, finding her hiding under the bed. It was an urgent situation and I couldn’t have been happier that Lili was up for the job because she went above and beyond. You MUST book for your pets too, she is an expert and great with animals!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pacific Palisades
We hired Heather for drop-in visits when a last-minute trip came up, and after our experience, I highly recommend her. Heather came right over for a meet-and-greet, and it took only seconds for her and Oliver to become best friends. In fact, when we came home from our trip, he told us that he wants to live with Mrs. Heather now. While we were gone, she provided Oliver with food (which has medications involved), cleaned his litter, played with him, brushed him, fed him treats, gave him love, and even cleaned up. Major Kudos: Oliver requires this transdermal medication applied within his ear. This is something that's difficult even for me to apply, so I sort of accepted it'd be impossible for anyone else. And yet, Heather was able to apply it—all four times. Oh, and all of the pictures she sent were like... professional. My cat looked like a model. So I mean, really, does it get better than that? Heather is a wonderful sitter, and unless Oliver chooses to move in with her, we'll be hiring her again.

Alyssa was great with our Luke. We were visiting LA and needed a babysitter for the afternoon while we were at a fifa game. Alyssa came to our hotel and watched Luke for several hours. She met with us the day before so we all felt comfortable. We received dozens of photos throughout the day. Highly recommend.

Samanta is the absolute best, and I cannot say enough good things about her. We have booked with her several times, most recently for a two-week trip out of the country. She treats our cats as if they were her own and goes above and beyond every single time. During our last trip, I accidentally didn’t leave enough cat food for the duration of our stay away. Without hesitation, Samanta made a special trip to the pet store to buy the exact food our cats eat and made sure they were completely taken care of. Knowing they were in such caring and capable hands gave us tremendous peace of mind. We would recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter.

Keitel was easy to communicate with and his passion for dogs and for helping out us dog owners are obvious. I really appreciate the pics of the hour he spent with my puppy, Henry, as well as his text of how much he enjoyed his time with Henry. I will definitely book him again!

Round 3 with Michelle and we’re still in love. After our cat Oliver had his seizures and put on a rigorous medication schedule, I thought we’d never travel again. But finding Michelle changed that. She’s been there for us for each trip and we are forever grateful. Thank you, Michelle!

Arzu is calm, patient, knowledgeable and engaged my pup so beautifully. I also learned a lot as a first time dog owner from Arzu about training recommendations and the rules of the road to form a trusting and loving relationship with my adopted pup. Highly recommend having Arzu watch your best friend!

I’m really glad I had Karlie as my cat sitter. My cats seemed very happy and well cared for. Karlie is very sweet, reliable, and respectful—she followed instructions carefully and spent quality time with them. After some disappointing experiences in the past with other sitters on Rover, I finally feel like I found someone I can trust. I would definitely book her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
