“Lucinda and her family took great care of Lilo and kept me up to date with pictures of their adventures! I enjoyed my vacation stress-free knowing she was in great hands. :)”

“Jennifer is the kindest human being. She is considerate, accommodating, and it’s clear that she genuinely loves the company of dogs. She has repeatedly taken care of our little fur ball and I’m starting to think our dog wants to stay with Jennifer permanently and I can see why. I would recommend her to anyone in need of dog sitting!”

“Mochi was completely at ease with Colin, and settled in immediately—none of his typical loss of appetite in the first day or two, so I guess he just felt right at home from the start! Colin was extremely accommodating with our schedule, and very chill. An obvious dog lover through and through. Highly recommend. We will book him whenever he’s available.”

“The very first time I did the “meet & greet” with Shelley I knew my little Sam would be safe, we’ll taken care of and well loved. He is quite the Senior at 17 & I wanted to feel completely comfortable about leaving him. I am fortunate to have found Shelley on the Rover site. She is now my go to person to care for Sam whether for the day or boarding. Thank you, Shelley🥰🥰”

“Jonathan took such wonderful care of Luxor while I was away. From the very start, he was kind, reliable, and easy to communicate with. He made sure he got plenty of walks, TLC, and updates for us every day, and it truly showed his sweet nature caring for our precious Boy. We joked Luxor wouldn’t want to come back home he was so happy and well cared for. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing my pup was in such loving hands. I’m so grateful to Jonathan and Poppy! and would happily trust him again in the future.”

“Scout loved his stay with Gwen and Bert! He had a fantastic time playing and cuddling, and Gwen was great at sending updates. Would definitely recommend Gwen if you’re looking for a kind, trustworthy sitter!”

About: dogs have always been family to me. i’ve been on both sides of the leash, not only caring for dogs, but also searching for someone i could trust with my own. i know how hard it is to leave your dog with someone else when they’re your baby, and i know the peace of mind that comes from finding the right person. i’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including my own dogs through medical issues, medications, and recovery. i’ve fostered dogs with behavioral challenges, volunteered with Best Friends Animal Society, and have experience with anxious, shy, reactive, and senior dogs, including my own 180 lb Great Dane. because i work from home, your dog won’t be left alone all day. i can provide plenty of attention, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship while following your dog’s routine and specific needs. my goal is simple: to provide the same level of care, communication, and love that i would want for my own dogs. i’ll treat them like family and keep you updated every step of the way. i work from home and have a flexible schedule, which means your dog won’t be left alone all day. i’m available for walks, drop-ins, and boarding, and can easily accommodate potty breaks, medications, feeding schedules, and plenty of attention throughout the day. i enjoy being active, so whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby, i’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. i know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care because i’ve been there myself. safety is always my top priority. i’ll follow your dog’s routine, respect any training or behavioral needs, and make sure they receive the same level of care i’d want for my own dogs. i’ve cared for senior dogs, dogs with medical needs, and large-breed dogs with behavioral challenges, including my own 180-pound great dane. i’m comfortable administering medications, managing different personalities and energy levels, and giving dogs the patience and consistency they need to feel secure. you’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your dog is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Carmen was wonderful with my little princess. She took great care of her and I feel like she listened to me and was very good at communication with me while she was taking care of Uma. Thank you Carmen”

“Lisa was amazing! My skittish and anxious dog warmed up to her immediately and seemed to have a great time. I usually worry about her when I leave on vacation but this time my mind was at ease. She also makes montage videos with music which are so fun to watch!”

“above and beyond care as always!!! Officially one year of Winnie staying with Aaron and I cannot recommend him enough. Constant care and affection and adventures + videos and pics so you feel like you’re there too. He even ended up dropping Winnie at home for me when I was exhausted after a flight. There’s no one I trust more besides family. Thank you so so much Aaron!!!!”

About: Based in Ocean Park and serving Santa Monica, Venice, and the Westside, I've been around animals my entire life. I grew up in Utah on a ranch with six dogs, horses, chickens, cats, and just about every other animal you can imagine. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I'm an avid outdoorsman and spend much of my free time hiking, exploring trails, surfing, and enjoying everything Southern California has to offer. I have a 4-year-old pug named Kofi, and dogs are already a huge part of my daily routine. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I love taking dogs on adventures, whether that's a neighborhood walk, a trip to the park, a beachside stroll, or a scenic hike overlooking Los Angeles. Every dog is different, and I take the time to understand their personality, energy level, and needs. My goal is simple: treat every dog like they're my own and make sure they come home happy, exercised, and excited for the next adventure. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. I work from home and spend much of my week walking, hiking, and caring for dogs. I also have a friendly 4-year-old pug named Kofi, so my days are naturally built around walks, outdoor time, and making sure dogs get the exercise and attention they need. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether it's a neighborhood walk, a trip to the park, or a longer adventure, I genuinely enjoy spending my time with dogs. I care for every dog as if they were my own. I have a friendly 4-year-old pug named Kofi who often joins us on walks and adventures. Dogs in my care get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection throughout the day. I love taking dogs on long walks, exploring local neighborhoods, parks, and beachside paths whenever appropriate. Because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, dogs are rarely left alone for long periods of time. I make sure they have regular bathroom breaks, fresh water, exercise, and a comfortable environment where they feel safe and relaxed. We often bask in the sun on my patio as well! My goal is always to make your dog feel at home and give them a fun, enriching day while you're away.

10/10 Experience ★★★★★ Gwen was fantastic with Rivi. She was communicative throughout the stay, sending regular updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind. How do you beat ocean views? Well you can’t, Rivi got plenty of beautiful ocean walks and outdoor time. Gwen is attentive, and clearly cares about the dogs she watches. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to other pet parents. Truly I am so happy after a long search and many interviews that I was fortunate enough to find Gwen. Rivi and I thank you 🐶
Our 2 dogs stayed overnight with Lucinda and they had a great time! Though the visit was short, we were so grateful they stayed with her and on short notice too. It was clear they were happy and well cared for! We got adorable photos and updates throughout their stay. Lucinda is the best!

Rachel was such a wonderful sitter for Ozzie. She was so kind, caring and flexible and gave us such peace of mind while away. Rachel sent us daily photo updates and it was great to see what a fun time he was having without us. Staying with Rachel was probably a nice vacation break for Ozzie from our hectic family. We look forward to future stays with Rachel!

My dog was living her best life with JoJo and Betty! I really appreciated that they had a pre-stay meet and greet so that we knew everyone was a good fit. They asked a lot of good questions about my dog which said to me that they wanted to be prepared. I love prepared! During the course of her stay they messaged me with a daily update and photos and any questions that came up about meds or behaviors. They are genuinely kind, conscientious dog lovers who took great care of my dog. Thank you JoJo and Betty for being amazing dog sitters!

My dog Lincoln had an amazing time with Shelley. She set up some meet and greets to make sure Lincoln would be compatible as his first boarding was 13 days. Shelley provided regular updates showing all the new fiends Lincoln made while staying with her. I am very happy to have found a great match for Lincoln in and around our neighborhood and have already been recommending her to Lincoln's dog park friends.

Sherry was great! I’ve used rover before but this was my first time leaving my Zazu with a sitter longer than a weekend - she was communicative and sent pictures throughout the week. She even took him to the beach. Turns out he was on vacation just as much as I was.

Birute was beyond awesome. I can’t speak highly enough of her. She went above and beyond and my dog loved her, I did too! He came back in the best mood and looked so cozy and comfortable in every picture she sent. She will be the first person I call next time we need someone to keep Tinker. Thank you Birute 🫶

I think this is officially the one millionth time that Rusty's stayed with Nicole and Sean, but I try to write a review each time so people know how great they are. So this time I'll say that I don't think Rusty has a photographer who's better at capturing his good side than Nicole or a couch buddy that he likes chilling best more than Sean. They're a great team, and we're very lucky to have them in our regular roster of sitters. Book them now, because we're probably trying to snag a spot with them as you're reading this!

Our dog Rusty's first stay with Jordan went great! My wife LOVES to get pictures of Rusty when we have to leave him with a sitter, and Jordan send lots and lots of great pictures, even though it was only an overnight trip. We've used a lot of sitters on Rover and Jordan is easily one of the most communicative and prompt that I've ever seen. She and Rusty had a great time snuggling, walking in the park, and visiting the dog park, and we can't wait for them to do it again. In other words: highly, highly recommended. Book her now before we beat you to it! Thanks again for the great stay, Jordan! And see you soon!

Heather and David were so so so wonderful with our babies. The babies settled in immediately and were just so happy and so well taken care of. They were cuddled and played with and loved. Honestly, felt like they were home. We got lots of photos and updates - beautiful photos by the way! We thank you so so so much and would definitely love for our babies to stay with you again and we highly recommend Heather! Natasha and Ana

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
