I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. I’m able to keep a consistent eye on your dog, maintain their routine, and give them attention throughout the day — whether that’s playtime, walks, or quiet company. I like to take short breaks outside, so dogs get plenty of fresh air and movement without long stretches of alone time. It’s a calm environment here, which most pups settle into easily.

I’m very intentional about creating a safe and calm environment. I keep a close eye on each dog’s energy, comfort level, and needs throughout the day. In my home (or yours), I stick to the routines you already have in place — feeding times, walk schedules, crate use, and any training cues you use — so your dog feels secure and understood. I always use secure leashes/harnesses on walks, avoid dog parks unless you specifically request them, and pay attention to surroundings to keep your dog safe. Indoors, I make sure they have a clean, comfy space to relax, fresh water available, and plenty of gentle engagement. My approach is simple: calm structure, lots of presence, and consistent care so your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for the entire time.

To make sure your dog has the best, safest, and most comfortable stay, I like to know a few key things in advance: 1) Your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any food sensitivities or allergies 2) Energy level, walking preferences, and any physical limitations or health concerns 3) How your dog does with other dogs, especially in a calm home environment 4) Any behavioral quirks (barking, separation anxiety, reactivity, leash pulling, etc.) 5) Potty habits and whether your dog is fully house-trained 6) What helps your dog feel calm and secure in a new space 7) Veterinary info and emergency contact details, just in case I genuinely believe that the more I know upfront, the better I can care for your dog. My goal is always to match their routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, relaxed, and at home from day one.

A typical day with me is structured, calm, and active, designed to keep dogs happy, exercised, and relaxed. The day starts with a morning hour-long walk, giving dogs time to stretch, explore, and burn off energy. After breakfast, they relax at home with me while I work remotely, so they’re never left alone for long. Around midday, we head out for a second hour-long walk, tailored to each dog’s energy level. This might be a neighborhood walk, park time, or a beach outing if appropriate. The afternoon is slower and restful, with plenty of downtime, fresh water, and comfortable places to nap. In the evening, dogs enjoy a third hour-long walk to wind down the day before dinner and bedtime. Total daily activity usually ranges between 4–7 miles, adjusted for age, health, and temperament. Throughout the day, dogs get lots of affection, calm companionship, and a peaceful environment - helped by clean indoor air and a relaxed home routine. My own dog, Poppy, is a gentle, friendly 14-year-old who helps create a calm, reassuring atmosphere.

At my standard rate, dogs enjoy three separate hour-long walks every day: • Morning • Midday • Evening That typically adds up to 4–7 miles per day, adjusted to your dog’s age, energy level, and comfort. I work from home, so your dog is never left alone for long stretches and gets consistent attention throughout the day. I also prepare fresh, homemade dog food (the same nourishing meals I make for my own dog, Poppy). Ingredients may include turmeric, chia seeds, beef, bone broth, coconut oil, collagen, carrots, potatoes, kale, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, and peas — all thoughtfully selected to support digestion, joints, energy, and overall wellness. (Always happy to follow your dog’s specific dietary needs or restrictions.) Inside my home, I use a professional-grade Molekule Air purifier, which helps remove allergens, bacteria, and airborne pollutants. Clean air makes a real difference — dogs settle faster, sleep deeper, and relax more easily in a calm, healthy environment. Weather and temperament permitting, I take dogs to the beach almost daily. If your dog enjoys it and is allowed, they’ll get time to explore the sand, sniff the ocean air, and enjoy safe, supervised play. It’s a highlight for many pups and a wonderful way to burn energy naturally. And of course, they’ll be sharing space with Poppy, my incredibly intelligent, gentle, and friendly 14 yearold dog. Jonathan has to be one of the best rovers I’ve ever used. I always know my dog is in great care with him. She gets walks, attention, and tons of social time with other dogs. She always comes home happy and sleepy and we are always able to go out without worry on our minds about her. Thank you for everything!!
Jonathan took such great care of our dog while we were out of town for over a week. We received daily photo updates and we could tell that our dog was happy and felt comfortable in his care :)
