Welcome to Poppy’s Friends! 🐾 Hi, I’m Jonathan, and I provide full-time, professional dog care through Rover. Caring for dogs isn’t a side job for me. It’s my career and my passion. My days are built around giving every dog in my care the attention, exercise, enrichment, and love they deserve. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for well over 100 dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Every dog is different, so I tailor each stay to their individual needs, energy level, and routine. Whether your pup loves long adventures or prefers a slower pace, they’ll receive personalized care from the moment they arrive. Daily Exercise & Enrichment At my standard rate, dogs enjoy three separate hour-long walks every day: • Morning • Midday • Evening Most dogs average 4 to 7 miles of walking each day, adjusted for their age, health, and comfort level. When the weather is nice and your dog enjoys adventures, we often head to the beach for supervised walks, plenty of sniffing, and safe play. Mental enrichment is just as important as physical exercise, and I make sure every dog has opportunities to explore and have fun. Because I do Rover full time, your dog is rarely left alone. They’re part of my daily routine and receive consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. Nutrition & Wellness Canine nutrition has become one of my greatest passions. Through my company, Poppy’s Friends, I create fresh homemade meals, healthy treats, and wellness toppers using thoughtfully selected whole-food ingredients that support digestion, healthy joints, skin, coat, and overall wellness. Some of the ingredients I regularly work with include beef, bone broth, turmeric, chia seeds, pumpkin, kale, spinach, broccoli, carrots, coconut oil, collagen, and other nutrient-rich whole foods. I’m proud to collaborate with respected professionals and trusted brands in the canine nutrition community so I can continue learning and provide the highest level of care possible. If your dog has medications, allergies, or a specific feeding routine, I’ll happily follow your instructions exactly. A Safe & Comfortable Home Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. My home is calm, clean, and designed to help dogs feel relaxed and secure. Fresh water is always available, and I closely supervise every dog throughout the day. To create an even healthier environment, my home is equipped with a professional-grade Molekule air purifier that helps reduce allergens, bacteria, and airborne pollutants. For additional peace of mind, every dog in my care is fitted with one of my own Apple AirTags during their stay, giving me another layer of safety whenever we’re out on walks or adventures. Meet Poppy Your dog will also spend time with my best friend, Poppy. At 14 years old, she’s incredibly gentle, patient, and wonderfully social. She has helped countless visiting dogs settle into a new environment and has a special way of making nervous pups feel comfortable and at home.
