About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life and love working with both dogs and cats of all personalities. I grew up with three dogs—two rescues (including a foster we ended up keeping) and one puppy—and regularly handled their care, including walks, feeding, and playtime. I’ve also been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since middle school, so I’m very comfortable stepping into different routines and making pets feel at ease. I’m especially experienced with cats. I raised two stray kittens growing up—one I helped bottle-feed—and in college I fostered a very shy, formerly stray cat. With patience and consistency, he became incredibly affectionate and is now my own cat who sleeps next to me every night. I pay close attention to body language and always respect each pet’s boundaries, whether they’re energetic, anxious, or need a little extra time to warm up. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m very responsive, reliable, and happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands! I’m currently a part-time student with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. While I’m not available for overnight stays, I’m very flexible during the day and can accommodate multiple visits if needed. I’m also very responsive and happy to help with last-minute requests when possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize safety, routine, and making pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I take time to understand each pet’s needs, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any specific instructions. I’m very attentive to body language and behavior, especially with shy or anxious pets, and I always respect their boundaries. I make sure doors, gates, and harnesses are secure at all times during walks and visits. I treat every home with care and respect, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for.

About: I’ve regularly cared for cats, dogs, babies, toddlers, kids, etc. for nearly a decade now. I grew up with cats and dogs, but since moving to LA I don’t have my own pets and would love to help care for yours! I generally work 9-5 but am remote Mondays and Fridays and can be flexible. I live on the west side and do drive but I primarily walk and bike in my day to day! I prioritize maintaining a clean environment, ensuring that animals get adequate exercise and outdoor time. I care about helping pets maintain a healthy diet and a well-regulated nervous system.

About: Seasoned sitter with a track record of reliable care dating back to my teenage years, specializing in diverse breeds and specialized needs. I provide high quality care tailored to your pet’s unique personality and physical needs. My experience ranges from managing the high energy dynamic of a pack of Pomeranians to providing attentive support for an injured cat. Leave it to me, you can have peace of mind knowing that your pet is with a calming, caring presence providing updates as often as you wish. I am self employed and I always keep mornings free. I can be available on short notice if needed. My schedule is generally flexible during the week. Safety and trust are my top priorities when entering a client's home. During every visit I make sure all entries are securely locked and that the space is free of hazards before leaving. When walking, I am hyper vigilant about my surroundings. I steer clear of unknown animals and potential threats to the safety of pets.
“Alena was kind, very responsive & communicated throughout the trip making my mind at ease. She asked questions and went above & beyond. Highly recommend! My dog & cat loved her. Thank you Alena!”

“Sophia was absolutely wonderful. She is a fantastic walker and sitter who is punctual, communicative, and puts the dog's well-being first. When my dog was feeling anxious and refusing walks during the visits, Sophia handled it beautifully—she adapted very well, sat down to comfort my dog, and communicated with me. She made sure my dog was well-fed and cared for. Will be booking her again in the future!”

“Jessica was amazing! Took great care of my pup with multiple updates throughout the day and went the extra mile to make sure he was happy. Especially loved the extra pictures as well! 10/10 couldn't recommend her enough!”

“Mallory was very caring and dedicated to meeting the needs of our three dogs. She worked hard to get to know the personalities and quirks of each one of them. She was patient even with our feisty little one and our older, special needs dog!”

About: I am a full time working professional who loves to care for animals, which brought me to Rover! I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid and have always owned at least one during every period of my life. I’d love to meet your pets! I am friendly, communicative, and reliable. My weekends are very flexible and I can be open before and after regular work hours. I do work full time outside of this, but please let me know what you’re looking for and we can go from there! I am not looking to board pets in my home but have no issues with visiting client’s homes. I can follow instructions well and believe communication is key.

About: I’ve had pets as long as I can remember. My last pet, my soul dog Bella, lived to be 18. We traveled the country together and I got the privilege of being her mommy from 8 weeks old to a little over 18. She has changed my life in so many ways and inspired me to help all other animals in need. I’m extremely caring, attentive and loving. I will treat your pet as if it is my own. However, I’m a bit of a spoiler when it comes to animals but I will lead in anyway that you would expect of me. I look forward to connecting with you and more importantly, your fur babies. I’m currently working 4 days a week as an Esthetician but I will always find time for my babies. My favorite time of day is when I get to be at home snuggling my pup and kitty. I always keep a close eye on my pets and keep anything potentially harmful well out of reach. I always pick up on their anxiousness or when they are not feeling well, and will go completely out of my way to make sure they’re ok!
About: I've taken care of dogs of all breads and sizes for my whole life. I've cared for dogs both in my own home and in client's homes, providing walks, feedings, playtime, and lots of attention. I have a household full of animals at my parents home on the east coast. My mom is a veterinarian so I am comfortable recognizing basic health concerns and following care instructions closely. I treat every dog like my own and focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away! I am a bartender so I have a ton of open availability! My hours I'm usually at work are 9PM-2AM on Thursday-Saturday so other than that I'm very open and flexible! I always prioritize safety and follow each pet's routine and care instructions closely. In my home, pets are supervised, kept in a calm environment, and never left unattended outside. When caring for pets in a client's home, I'm respectful, tidy, and attentive, making sure pets feel secure in their familiar space. Growing up with a veterinarian mom has made me comfortable recognizing basic health concerns and responding calmly in unexpected situations.
About: I've been an animal lover my whole life, and for 14 years I had the privilege of caring for my German Shepherd, who I sadly lost recently. That experience taught me a lot about the patience, routine, and attention that dogs, especially as they age, really need. I'm open to caring for senior dogs and know how to watch for the little things that make them comfortable, but I also love caring for high energy puppies and the work that goes into them. Growing up, I regularly walked and watched neighbors' and friends' dogs, so I'm used to adapting to different personalities and routines. I'll treat your pet like my own, whether they need a a walking buddy or overnight stay! I am currently home on summer break, so I am available full time to care for your animals! Mornings and afternoons are best for me, but I am happy to work around your schedule and needs. Your pet's safety and comfort is my top priority. I have a large, fenced backyard, so your dog can safely run and play without any worry about escaping. My neighborhood is very walkable, with several nearby parks that allow [off-leash play / dogs], which makes it easy to mix up walks and exploration to keep things interesting. Inside my home, pets have a calm, comfortable space to relax, with regular potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I keep a consistent routine so pets feel secure, while staying flexible to match each pet's individual needs — whether that means extra rest for a senior dog or more playtime and structure for a puppy. I always supervise pets closely, especially in the yard or during walks, and keep emergency contact info and vet details on hand just in case.
“Jonathan was great with the dogs and so, so helpful. He took both my dogs for a walk (even though the drop-in was just for one), and bathed Fennec like a pro. It was the dog’s first time getting blow-dried, and he didn’t care for that part. It took both Jonathan and me to hold him and was no easy feat! Friendly, knowledgeable, great with dogs.”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats in the home and miss having a little friend around. I recently was a dog / house sitter through WorkAway in New Zealand and loved being able to see a new area on walks with a pet. In high school I volunteered with Michelson Found Animals Shelter as well as Best Friends Animal Society in Utah for a Summer. I love all animals - every shape, color, and size! I'm currently living at home for the Summer after spending the year traveling in New Zealand and unemployed. I've got all the time in the world to spend time with your pet outside of hanging out with my family. I'm very diligent and know I can keep your pet safe. I am happy to give them freedom to roam or make sure they stay in your preferred safe zones - whatever you tell me is best!

About: About Me: Hi, I’m Lucinda! I provide small-group, in-home dog boarding in Pacific Palisades for families in Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu, and surrounding West LA areas. Why Dogs (and Owners) Love Staying Here 🐾 Intentionally small group setting 🌿 Large, fully fenced private yard 🧠 Experienced with high-energy and anxious dogs ❤️ Individualized attention, never a kennel environment Caring for dogs isn’t just what I do, it’s what I love. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your dog feels completely safe, engaged, and cared for, not “boarded.” The Environment: Dogs have access to a large, secure backyard where they can run and play on natural grass. Inside, the home is engaging and structured so dogs who need attention or routine feel supported. Special Experience: • Large breeds • High-energy dogs • Dogs with mild anxiety • Pups who need confidence-building or are "still learning" Every dog is treated like family, with consistency and affection so they feel secure while you’re away. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. I send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re safe, engaged, and happy. — Lucinda I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. Walks outside in nature, structured playtime in the large yard, rest breaks, and meals are part of a steady routine so dogs feel secure and settled. Your pet is never left alone for long stretches and always has supervision and engagement. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I host so every pup receives focused supervision and individualized attention. I follow each dog’s regular routine closely — including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and bedtime habits, so they feel comfortable and confident while you’re away. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing.
About: I come from a family of dog trainers. My dad trained dogs for the Air Force military police and my aunt trained show dogs. I have a natural ability to communicate with animals and love speaking their language. My girlfriend and I live together and are both animal lovers. We both walk animals, do drop in visits and house sit. As I am in entertainment, my schedule varies from day to day, but since I’m doing more writing these days and I love to prioritize animals, my schedule will be very open. I have a spacious apartment and keep the dog by my side at all time like a big brother. I treat dogs like loving humans, just with a little more caution and patience.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Pacific Palisades
Riley was amazing with my cats! She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of them while I was away. My cats can be a little particular, but they were happy and well cared for when I got home. I really appreciated the updates and would definitely book Riley again. Highly recommend!

We hired Heather for drop-in visits when a last-minute trip came up, and after our experience, I highly recommend her. Heather came right over for a meet-and-greet, and it took only seconds for her and Oliver to become best friends. In fact, when we came home from our trip, he told us that he wants to live with Mrs. Heather now. While we were gone, she provided Oliver with food (which has medications involved), cleaned his litter, played with him, brushed him, fed him treats, gave him love, and even cleaned up. Major Kudos: Oliver requires this transdermal medication applied within his ear. This is something that's difficult even for me to apply, so I sort of accepted it'd be impossible for anyone else. And yet, Heather was able to apply it—all four times. Oh, and all of the pictures she sent were like... professional. My cat looked like a model. So I mean, really, does it get better than that? Heather is a wonderful sitter, and unless Oliver chooses to move in with her, we'll be hiring her again.

Samanta is the absolute best, and I cannot say enough good things about her. We have booked with her several times, most recently for a two-week trip out of the country. She treats our cats as if they were her own and goes above and beyond every single time. During our last trip, I accidentally didn’t leave enough cat food for the duration of our stay away. Without hesitation, Samanta made a special trip to the pet store to buy the exact food our cats eat and made sure they were completely taken care of. Knowing they were in such caring and capable hands gave us tremendous peace of mind. We would recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter.

I’m really glad I had Karlie as my cat sitter. My cats seemed very happy and well cared for. Karlie is very sweet, reliable, and respectful—she followed instructions carefully and spent quality time with them. After some disappointing experiences in the past with other sitters on Rover, I finally feel like I found someone I can trust. I would definitely book her again!

Vanessa was fantastic. I was nervous to leave my kitty for over a week during the holidays, but he did great the entire time we were away, because of her care! She was super helpful and made me feel at ease with the report & photos from every visit. Will definitely be requesting her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
