About: I've been a dog walker, dog lover, dog groomer, dog kisser, dog snuggler, dog hugger, dog teacher and dog admirer since the day I was born. Growing up, my family always had a dog around the house. We had Mandy Dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer), Winnie (fluffy-sunshine-mix-a-doodle) and Paris (Australian Shepherd/Pitbull mix) at various stages of my youth. When I was 12, I raised my first puppy (a lil fluffy Golden named Lucy) and I taught her everything from sit to play dead. In high school I was a dog bather for a local dog groomer. From this job I learned about different breed personalities, needs and care. Currently, I work from home and would love to care for your friend. I'm very flexible on timing and availability. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I can do same-day visits on the west side. Whatever you and your pet need I will try to accommodate. My front yard is enclosed and safe for sniffing and hanging out but I will be walking your pets all around my area (avoiding the canals) and playing with them on the beach (unless you don't want this/they don't enjoy that).
“Aech was wonderful for a drop-in for my boy! She took him out for a potty break then gave him lots of love and attention until leaving. I got prompt updates and photos right after the visit. Would definitely book with Aech again!”

About: I’ve spent 20+ years caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I treat every pet like family and always aim to provide safe, attentive, personalized care. I’m experienced with everything from energetic puppies and kittens who need structure and consistency to senior pets who need patience, comfort, and extra support. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, routine, and needs so they can feel secure and cared for. My goal is simple: to make your time away easier by giving your pet reliable, loving care and giving you peace of mind. I work full-time from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to take breaks throughout the day for walks, playtime, and whatever care your pet needs. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’m respectful of your space, follow instructions closely, and communicate clearly with regular updates and photos. If your pet is staying in my home, they’ll have a calm, comfortable environment with outdoor access, plus lots of supervision and companionship since I work from home with a flexible schedule.
“Annalisa was great with my 4 month old puppy! She was punctual, responsive, and engaged with Juniper. She always took photos and kept me updated with any changes & questions. She was willing to come for a meet & greet as well as for key pick up! I was grateful for the help!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and have cared for everything from 10-pound lap dogs to 100-pound giants. I also cared for my own senior dog for the last three years of her life, so I'm comfortable giving medications and providing the extra patience and attention older pets need. I also have a young cat named Annie and have experience caring for foster cats. In my free time, I volunteer with a local animal rescue, where I work with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just wants someone to keep them company, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. I am currently looking for a new full time job so I have plenty of time to devote to different types of pet care at the moment! I treat every pet like they're my own and try to stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any other care they need. I know every pet has a different personality, so whether they want to play, explore, or just curl up on the couch, I'm happy to meet them where they're comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know how they're doing while you're away.
“Emma was great! She was very communicative and went above and beyond to take great care of my dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs in her hands and they seemed to love her. Would definitely recommend!”

“Rachel was very easy to communicate with and great with our kitty! Leaving a pet in the hands of stranger while on vacation can be scary but Rachel helped alleviate our worries with her clear and apparent love for animals! Would definitely recommend 10/10.”

About: I've had experience with dogs since I was 8 years old. My childhood dog, a golden retriever named Kellsey, lived to be 14 years old and I was involved with everything having to do with her care. I now have a 6 year old goldendoodle who I have raised since he was a puppy. I can't wait to meet your pup and give them the same love and care that I give my own! I am also extremely detail-oriented and follow directions well - if you include it, it will absolutely get done! I work remotely and have a flexible work schedule so am able to take time out to visit or walk your pet. For walks, I will also have my dog (40 lb goldendoodle) with me - pack walks are the best! I take safety and trust very seriously and want all clients to feel comfortable. I walk my own dog everyday and am familiar with how to have a fun and safe walk! For drop-in visits, I will make sure to follow all instructions so you feel confident in the care your dog or cat is getting.
About: Hi! I’m a speech therapist and lifelong cat and dog lover based in Venice. I share my home with my friendly cockapoo, and over the years I’ve had the pleasure of dog sitting a variety of breeds—including border collies, Italian hounds, and chihuahuas. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality and needs, and I’m committed to providing them with care that feels like home. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or cozy companionship, your pet will be treated like family! I’m new to rover and have no reviews yet :( I work as a school based speech therapist, so after school or care during breaks are an option! Afternoons are best for my schedule. Let’s make it work! I have a large apartment in Brentwood, with a fenced in dog park on the apartment grounds. When caring for animals in other people’s homes, I focus on maintaining their usual routines, providing plenty of affection (if they want it!), keeping their environment clean and safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
About: Hi! My name is Siena, and I’m passionate about caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I grew up with dogs and have several years of experience walking and pet sitting, both occasionally and full-time. I work in office (Venice) 2-3x per week with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to be attentive and consistent throughout the day, whether for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. I’m based in Marina del Rey with easy access to dog-friendly paths, parks, and quiet neighborhoods. I’m happy to tailor care to your dog’s routine, whether that’s active outings or relaxed companionship. I’m reliable, caring, detail-oriented, and always prioritize safety, communication, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I currently have a flexible schedule, I work hybrid. In office only Tuesday - Thursday, which allows me to dedicate consistent time and attention to pet care throughout the week. I’m available for Monday, Friday and Weekend daytime visits, afternoon/evening care, and overnights, including weekends. I’m able to structure my day around your pet’s routine. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine in their own home environment. I carefully follow all instructions around feeding, walks, medications, and any specific behaviors or needs. I’m very respectful of both your home and your pet’s space, and I always aim to create a calm, safe environment. I also provide regular updates so you feel fully informed and at ease while you’re away!
About: I love caring for animals! I've had my dog for 12 years since I found him as a stray, and I have experience working at animal shelters as well as working as an assistant to a concierge vet. I've worked at multiple animal welfare nonprofits and I’ve been successfully pet sitting for years; you can trust your family members are in good hands! I love to walk and play with dogs, take them to the beach, and love playing with cats (+ walk them if they’re into harnesses!) I’ll take good care of all their needs while you're gone, so you can rest easy! I have experience administering medication (injections for dogs + oral meds for dogs&cats). I’m comfortable with animals who are less socialized or don't like other dogs, animals, children, skateboards, etc. You won't need to worry about your pet's safety or comfort with me, just tell me what they need :) I work remotely and I can be super flexible with timing. FYI, I don’t bring my dog with me, unless it’s a house sit and you’ve specifically told me your animals are super friendly and wouldn’t mind - otherwise I leave my pup at my house! I have a remote part-time job with a team in different time zones, making my schedule super flexible. Let me know what your pet’s needs are and I’m sure I can accommodate! Unless you request otherwise, I let animals on the furniture and bed. I walk dogs every few hours depending on energy level and age. I’m happy to accommodate special requests if you communicate them to me in the booking or meet and greet!

“Ashley is super responsive and great with our 2 cats. She asks all the right questions when your mind is focused on upcoming trip so nothing is forgotten. She goes above/beyond and takes the best photos which is kind of fun to see while you’re away. Pretty sure our cats didn’t miss us thanks to Ashley being so great. I highly recommend contacting Ashley.”

“Rachel was so thoughtful and came over ahead of her first walk/visit with Millie. I really appreciated her taking the time to meet with us and talk about my dog (Millie), what her preferences were, how long she liked to walk etc. When walking Millie, Rachel gave plenty of updates to let me know Millie was doing ok and even left some pretty flowers they came across on their walk. I’ll definitely work with Rachel again. Thank you for taking such great care of Millie!!”

About: I've taken care of friend's animals whenever they were gone for multiple days to weeks at a time and love all animals that are caring and loving. I already take care of friend's animals when they are gone and have been consistent. I'm asked to do it when she's traveling and working for weeks in a month as well as evenings on days she's working I feed them what I'm told to feed them, fill their water bowls up and make sure they use the bathroom so they feel content with being at home
“Emilie was so good with our cat, Monty, while we were on vacation! You can tell they bonded and he was well taken care of. She is very responsible and gave great updates during her visit. I will be using Emilie again for future trips!”

Alex has been taking care of my cat Argo for several years. Argo has started to have kidney disease this year and Alex has been super good at giving Argo meds and taking good care of Argo, even when my house had ant issues. Alex is also super flexible at her schedule and I'm so grateful that Alex could accept my last minute schedule change. Thank you so much!!

Had the pleasure of having Chieh over a second time to take care of my cats after we were out of town for a week and a half. I felt so comfortable out for vacation this time knowing they were in good hands! She is so attentive, caring, and quick to respond if needed. I got daily updates with pictures and my cats love her

Alexandra was great with my two cats! one requires an inhaler and she had no problem wrangling her for treatment. She was very good about giving each cat what they needed. One is very into play time while the other is all about the cuddles! I felt very confident leaving her with them and will definitely be booking with her again in the future.

Kirstin was communicative and did a lot to reassure me that my cat was in safe hands. She was attentive and communicative, and also helped me discover my cat loves watching TV 🤣 Thank you for helping me take care of Bagheera while I was away, and I hope he gets to see you again.

I cannot recommend her highly enough. She took care of my senior cat with such care and attention, sending me pictures at every step of the process, which meant the world to me since my cat needs medication and I worry about her constantly. She was incredibly communicative, always arrived on time, and her updates were thorough and detailed. She even went the extra mile when a grocery delivery arrived—she came by this morning, put everything away in the fridge, and made my life so much easier. This is my first time using a Rover sitter and I’m already planning to book her again. She’s exactly the kind of reliable, thoughtful person you want caring for your pets.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Venice. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
