About: Hi! I’m a speech therapist and lifelong cat and dog lover based in Venice. I share my home with my friendly cockapoo, and over the years I’ve had the pleasure of dog sitting a variety of breeds—including border collies, Italian hounds, and chihuahuas. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality and needs, and I’m committed to providing them with care that feels like home. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or cozy companionship, your pet will be treated like family! I’m new to rover and have no reviews yet :( I work as a school based speech therapist, so after school or care during breaks are an option! Afternoons are best for my schedule. Let’s make it work! I have a large apartment in Brentwood, with a fenced in dog park on the apartment grounds. When caring for animals in other people’s homes, I focus on maintaining their usual routines, providing plenty of affection (if they want it!), keeping their environment clean and safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
“Was really great with my cat! It was my first time leaving him alone for a weekend and she was very reassuring and responsive and sent a lot of pictures! Very flexible as well when I needed to add on an extra visit last minute! Will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: I've been a dog walker, dog lover, dog groomer, dog kisser, dog snuggler, dog hugger, dog teacher and dog admirer since the day I was born. Growing up, my family always had a dog around the house. We had Mandy Dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer), Winnie (fluffy-sunshine-mix-a-doodle) and Paris (Australian Shepherd/Pitbull mix) at various stages of my youth. When I was 12, I raised my first puppy (a lil fluffy Golden named Lucy) and I taught her everything from sit to play dead. In high school I was a dog bather for a local dog groomer. From this job I learned about different breed personalities, needs and care. Currently, I work from home and would love to care for your friend. I'm very flexible on timing and availability. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I can do same-day visits on the west side. Whatever you and your pet need I will try to accommodate. My front yard is enclosed and safe for sniffing and hanging out but I will be walking your pets all around my area (avoiding the canals) and playing with them on the beach (unless you don't want this/they don't enjoy that).
“Roxane was awesome! Very communicative and followed complex feeding/care instructions super well. Grateful to have someone so kind to look after Scout while I’m gone. Definitely will be booking with Roxane again :)”

“Aech was wonderful for a drop-in for my boy! She took him out for a potty break then gave him lots of love and attention until leaving. I got prompt updates and photos right after the visit. Would definitely book with Aech again!”
About: I grew up with cats but have taken care of numerous dogs throughout my life. I have experience with all sizes and temperaments, including seniors, special diets, anxiety-prone pups and routine-focused households. During the week I'm usually working in an Art Gallery in Inglewood where dogs are allowed. Working remotely is also possible. On the weekends im working in Retail on Abbot Kinney. I would love to discuss the schedule with you. Currently I'm house and pet sitting only. My apartment doesn't allow pets but I have no problem with moving into your home to make it as comfortable as possible for your fur-baby. I don't have a car, so it should be close to Venice Beach, walkable preferred.
“My favorite human EVER! She’s so amazing with my cat Gizmo and he absolutely loves her. They play, snuggle, and she’s always keeping me posted on everything he does while I’m away! I appreciate her cat sitting so much and I never want to have another kitty sitter!!”

“Samantha was awesome. I needed pet care last minute on a holiday and she was able to work with me to set this up so fast. She took great care of my kitties, especially my senior gal who needed meds administered. i’d book samantha again in a heartbeat!”
“Daisy has a friend! Ariadne G. was INCREDIBLE with our 8 pound little floof. Caring, loving, with a gentle willingness and openness to learning Daisy’s routines and quirky needs. Daisy, who can be shy and hide and look sad and flumped, or can be barky and anxious with others when we are away, was her free spirited, playful, and silly self under Ari’s care. Daisy ate well, showed Ari all of her tricks, and played toys. We were so happy with the daily reports and pictures of Daisy enjoying Ari’s company.”

“Rachel did a wonderful job caring for my dog, Leo. Rachel came to my home and fed the pup and walked him while I was out for the day. Happy dog, happy owner and thank you Rachel! I'll be reaching out again for your services for sure and looking forward! I'd highly recommend Rachel to anyone needing some help with their furry one's!! - Dan”

“Did such an amazing job watching my kitty! Took great care of him, fed wet food and water and played! Really took care to keep me updated and bond with him. So thankful I booked with Yuliia and can’t wait to book again.”

“We had only ever booked with Athena and we will continue to book with her always. She’s simply the best - communicative, friendly, a cat whisperer, etc. Our boys love her and she gives us so much peace of mind when we’re gone.”

About: I have been around animals my entire life and caring for pets has always been second nature to me. While I recently lost my dog, I currently share my home with a very independent, neutered cat who keeps to himself and does well around dogs. I live in a duplex with a large, fully fenced patio, which gives pets space to relax and hang out in addition to regular walks and park time. I am drawn to dog sitting because I understand how busy schedules can get and I genuinely enjoy being a reliable, caring extension of a pet’s family. Whether you are a family or a solo dog parent, I take that responsibility seriously and aim to provide consistency, attention, and peace of mind. What sets me apart as a sitter is how observant and routine-oriented I am. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walk times, energy levels, and behavior changes so pets feel secure and well cared for. I am an active person and make a point to keep dogs engaged through walks, playtime, and mental stimulation so they are not bored or restless during the day. Pets in my care are never left feeling lonely. I spend meaningful time cuddling, playing, and making sure their daily needs are fully met. While I do not have a traditional backyard, I live within walking distance of several large parks and spend a lot of time outdoors with the dogs I care for. On most days, I am able to spend up to eight hours with a pet between the morning and afternoon. My work schedule is steady, flexible, and close to home, which allows me to be fully present and attentive. I live with my husband, who is an architect and a true animal lover. He is comfortable around all pets and is always happy to have animals in the home. My cat is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered. I prioritize a calm, clean, and safe environment and treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already structure my day around walks, feeding schedules, and dedicated time at home, so caring for another pet blends in seamlessly rather than feeling like an add-on. My work schedule is steady and flexible, and I work close to home, which allows me to be present throughout the day and check in consistently. On a daily basis, I plan my mornings and afternoons around walks, playtime, and downtime, making sure pets get both physical activity and calm attention. Weekly routines are equally consistent, with time built in for longer walks, park visits, and extra engagement depending on a dog’s energy level and needs. Because I keep a predictable routine, pets tend to settle in quickly and feel comfortable and secure in my care. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, and downtime based on what they are already used to. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels and adjust care as needed so pets feel safe, calm, and well cared for. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets get consistent attention, exercise, and affection while maintaining a clean and relaxed environment.
“I had a last minute drop-in request with Eileen and she was able to check on my pups on the same day! She was very prompt with her responses and updates. Over text, Eileen seemed very friendly. My pups looked happy in the photos as well. I would definitely book with Eileen again :)”

About: "Jeremy and Chia are hands down two of the best sitters I’ve ever had on Rover! From the moment I dropped off my dog, I felt completely at ease. They communicated with me multiple times a day, sent dozens of photos and updates, and truly treated my pup like part of their own family." by Ashley, Pinto Bean's mom. "Your place is like Disney world to dogs." by Darla's dad. We work from home and have super flexible schedules, so your pup will get lots of love and attention all day. We can really adjust to whatever your dog needs. We know they’re family, and we treat them like our own! We don’t use crates unless you bring one and your pup loves it. We live on the first floor with a huge, fully fenced yard, which is perfect for zoomies, sunbathing, or fetch marathons. We never leave pups out there alone. One of us is always hanging out with them. Our home is cozy, with comfy dog beds, and dogs are always welcome on the couch. If your pup loves snuggling, Chia will happily sleep with them on the couch bed at night. We are also just 10 minutes from the beach and run daily, so if your dog’s into ocean breezes and cardio, we’re happy to bring them along for the ride! We live a pretty active lifestyle so long walks, beach runs and coffee shop/restaurant visits are always on the agenda if the dog also enjoys them. If not, we have a pretty peaceful and quiet home that gets a ton of sunlight with a spacious fenced yard where your dog could unwind or enjoy playing fetch. - Regularly communicating with the dog's owner about any concerns or updates, including plenty of photos/videos (typically at least 2 times per day or let me know if you'd like more) - Chia loves taking pictures for pets and she always does a great job, so don't be surprised when you receive super cute photos of your baby! Our home is in a cozy, dog-friendly community with a spacious shared fenced yard. There are a few friendly neighborhood dogs your pup can play with, and we’ll always be there to supervise. Don't worry if your dog doesn't enjoy playing with other dogs. We can simply provide other exercise or give your pup solo play time. We also have plenty of toys to keep them entertained and stimulated at home, and they’re welcome to sleep with us on the couch bed or relax on the couch anytime they like.

Venice cat parents share their Rover experiences
Incredible experience. This was my first trip away from my kitty and Samantha made me feel more at ease. She is punctual, quickly communicative and really made a great impression on my cat. Plethora of pictures, handling my last minute booking, Samantha was the best!

Round 3 with Michelle and we’re still in love. After our cat Oliver had his seizures and put on a rigorous medication schedule, I thought we’d never travel again. But finding Michelle changed that. She’s been there for us for each trip and we are forever grateful. Thank you, Michelle!

Alex was perfect, she took amazing care of our two cats, plus a litter of foster kittens! She was so experienced and went above and beyond with detailed updates and pictures, I felt 10000% confident all our kitties were happy and getting the best care. Thank you so much Alex!!

Betteena saved my cat’s life. Truly. What was supposed to be routine pet sitting turned into a medical emergency for one of my cats while I was away, and I genuinely do not know what I would have done without her. My cat Harley became seriously ill, and she immediately stepped in without hesitation. She was flexible, updating her visits and adjusting her schedule around my cat’s medication needs. She monitored him constantly, administered medications, cleaned up after his accidents, and kept me updated nonstop. She didn’t just “watch” my pets. She saved Harley as if he were her own. In one of the most stressful moments imaginable, she stayed calm, proactive, compassionate, and unbelievably attentive. She noticed every detail, acted quickly, and handled everything with so much care and urgency. Because of her, Harley got help when he needed it most. I truly believe she saved his life. On top of all of that, she still made sure my other cat was equally loved, comforted, and cared for. My home was immaculate, communication was constant, and I never once questioned whether my pets were safe in her hands. Finding someone you trust with your animals is rare. Finding someone who loves and protects them as fiercely as you do is almost impossible. She is that person. I will forever be booking Betteena and recommending her to every pet parent I know. If you are lucky enough to book her, do it immediately. There are not enough stars, words, or thank-yous in the world for what she did for my family. Harley and I will forever be grateful.

Can't recommend Samanta enough! She gives me the confidence to go on vacation knowing that she will take good care of my cats. Not only does she take great and fantastic pictures, but she also shares toys recommendation for proof with those pictures. I would absolutely rebook Samanta for a house visit for my cats!
