About: While I’m new to Rover and building my profile, I’m not new to caring for animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, so I make communication a priority and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Growing up, I also helped at a shelter with my mom, which gave me early experience working with animals of different temperaments and needs. I truly love animals and enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m very active and love spending time outdoors, especially hiking. I used to take my last dog, Loulou, on adventures with me, and I would love to have a furry companion to explore nature with. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like my own. I’m excited to earn the trust of both pets and their owners by providing reliable, loving care every time. I’m also flexible with location and can help with pick-up and drop-off if that makes things easier. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m consistently available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and often on weekends, and I can plan my days around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. On the days I’m available, I make sure to dedicate quality time to each pet whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just giving them attention and companionship. I enjoy being active, so incorporating walks or outdoor time into my day feels very natural to me. I’m also attentive to each pet’s routine and will adjust my schedule to match their usual habits as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets, I always focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific preferences or habits the pet has. In my home, I create a calm and clean environment where pets can relax and feel at ease. I make sure they have plenty of attention, playtime, and regular walks, along with a safe space to rest. I’m attentive to their behavior and mood to ensure they’re happy and not stressed.
“Christian took amazing care of my cat DMX and my frogs over the long weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. He was always on time, very attentive, and made sure everyone was comfortable, fed, and well cared for. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about my pets and paid close attention to their routines and needs. DMX absolutely loved him, which is not something I say lightly, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. He also kept me updated and was very dependable throughout the entire stay. I came home to happy, relaxed pets and everything in perfect shape. I would absolutely trust Christian again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter. Definitely a 5-star experience!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have personal experience caring for both my own dog and cat. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and giving them lots of attention. I’m patient, responsible, and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I’ll always follow your instructions and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own. 🐾 I’m currently a student, and my schedule gives me flexibility to make time for pet care. I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. I’m also happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and company they need while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I’ll follow any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and house rules. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention and feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
“Allison took great care of my 2 cats while I was away for a few days. She was attentive, reliable, and kept me updated with photos, which gave me peace of mind. My cats were happy and well cared for when I returned. I would definitely recommend Allison to anyone looking for a loving and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Egle is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes wonderful care of my puppy. She is also an excellent communicator and keeps me well informed, which gives me peace of mind while my puppy is in her care. I have been very happy with her services and would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

About: I’ve personally had many dogs and cats throughout both my childhood and now adulthood and consider them my family. I’m patient, kind, caring and very good with any and all special care needs for younger or older pets. I’m currently working part time and remotely from my home so I have a lot of time and flexibility / openings daily as may be needed. I have a fenced yard in a nice, safe neighborhood with one male terrier mix dog and one long haired domestic long hair cat. I work remotely so am home with my pets and any additional friends I may meet who come by! Very animal safe!

“Tania was fantastic! We went out of town for several days and felt confident that our pets were in great hands. She gave lots of updates and our little ones seemed happy and healthy when we returned. I would absolutely recommend Tania! Thanks again!!”

“Mariana was fantastic! I’m so grateful she was available for a last minute booking. She was super communicative and took such great care of my cats and I loved the photos she shared after each visit. I would absolutely book with her again.”

“SLOANE IS THE BEST! My dog Luna absolutely adores her, she gets so excited when she walks through the door. Sloane is not only an animal lover, but she truly understands dogs and can handle my very strong 85 pound pitbull mix, I trust Sloane 100% with my dog (who can be a bit reactive) on walks. Sloane took time to understand my dog and it shows. 10/10 would book Sloane again and again.”

About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life. I grew up with a family dog and was involved in his daily care and training, including potty training, basic commands, and helping him manage separation anxiety. That experience taught me a lot about being patient, consistent, and attentive to a dog’s individual needs and behavior. I currently have four cats of my own and previously cared for a rabbit for four years. I’m very comfortable with the everyday responsibilities of pet care, including feeding, cleaning, playtime, and keeping up with each pet’s individual routine. I also successfully litter-trained my rabbit. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends, including a Border Collie, German Shepherd, and Pit Bull, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve helped with basic training as well, including potty training and crate training. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions you provide. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. I’m currently a PhD student, which gives me a very flexible schedule, and I do most of my work from home. This allows me to spend plenty of time with pets throughout the day and easily fit walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and feeding into my routine. During the summer, I don’t have teaching responsibilities, so my availability is especially flexible. During the academic year, I’m generally flexible most days of the week, with Thursdays and Fridays being my busier days. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s usual routine. I provide care in my clients’ homes, where I do my best to keep each pet’s routine as familiar and consistent as possible. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, medications, and any other specific needs your pet may have. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I always adjust my care to what makes them most comfortable. Whether your pet loves attention and playtime or prefers a little more space, I’ll respect their boundaries and make sure they feel safe and cared for in their own environment. I’ll also keep you updated while you’re away so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and doing well.
About: It's a joy to be in the company of doggos, and I take pride in making their day better. I have 7 years of experience with dogs big and small, and have experience with walks, boarding, sitting, administering medications and changing doggie diapers. I make sure to provide treats, grooming, play time and to make feedings varied, fresh and new. I really enjoy spending time with dogs as a dog sitter and walker. I make sure that pets are feeling happy and will make sure to step around them, if they do not like visitors that much. I'm pretty good at reading a pet's vibe.
“Liam was excellent. Liam cared for our senior dog who is easy. Liam also made friends with our Australian Shepherd and was able to handle him. I highly recommend Liam. Liam is also flexible and willing to work with plans that change.”

About: Hi, I'm Caroline! As a remote worker, I am home during day so I can provide your pet with constant companionship, regular potty breaks, and most importantly lots of love. I'm new to Rover, but not new to pet sitting. My experience includes caring for a family dog and cat, pet sitting, fostering, and volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society. I have never met a dog or cat I didn't like. My apartment is animal friendly, smoke-free, and ready to become a safe home away from home for your pet with lots of nap spots. It does require using either the elevator or multiple flights of stairs. I'm open to everything from high-energy puppies or kittens who need consistent play and training to gentle seniors who want a relaxed environment. I am highly skilled at reading animal body language and creating a calm environment for anxious pets. Above all, I will respect your rules for your pet and love them as my own. I cannot wait to love and care for your furry family member while you are away! Please note I open up my availability about a month in advance so my calendar is constantly being updated and I am happy to work to accommodate last minute bookings :) I'm currently working freelance and I work from home so I have lots of time to care for your pups and adjust my flexible schedule to your needs! While I live in an apartment, I have a large living space so your pet will never feel cramped. I am also a very active person so your pet can expect lots of walks, dog park visits, or whatever makes them happy. I love being creative with stimulating activities whether it's in my home or outside. I do not have any pets of my own beside those that I dogsit or foster so I can work to accommodate pets that prefer to be the only animal in the home. :)
“Wendy did amazing with Benji when I was away for 5 days on a vacation. She was really communicative and provided daily updates with pictures. Benji is generally on the shyer side but he loved Wendy. I will definitely book again!”

“Alyssa was amazing! Our cat tends to be anxious when we leave but she seemed calmer than usual when we got back. Alyssa was communicative and asked all the right questions when she came over to meet Ellie. Thanks, Alyssa!”

“It was so great meeting Shontel. She asked all the right questions that showed me she really cared about getting to know if my puppy. Her gentle and calm demeanor was much appreciated. She understood exactly when to pull back when my Moon was becoming overwhelmed. Listened to learn more about him and cared to know if she’d be best for him. We absolutely plan on booking her again!”

About: I have been a dog foster for a long time. I worked with shelters and having great passions about dogs. I know a bit "dog psychology" ha and understand how to react to certain situations... especially when dogs are uncomfortable.. There’s a park right by my apartment, a very good option for dogs looking to socialize. My apartment is very quiet, so if your fur baby does not want to socialize, it is all covered as well. I've had dogs since 6. Dogs generally like me too. I enjoy my time with dogs. They melt my heart :) I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! It will be fun I can watch dogs during weekdays with a day or two notice, and my weekends are usually open. I do appreciate advanced notice. My apartment is very quiet, and please let me know if your dog has any excessive barking. I usually only watch dogs from the same owner or I will let you know. That way I ensure they will get along and don't fight.

Mutsumi truly is an exceptional cat sitter. She is so thorough and thoughtful when it comes to checking on our cats. Not only does she take amazing photos of the cats themselves, but she also takes photos of their prepared food and the condition of the litter box each visit - I didn’t once need to ask her to check on something because she checks everything every time. I trust her completely!

Anya was fantastic with the girls. She took super cute photos of them each visit, they looked so happy with their playtime and snacks! Anya was also great with instructions we had - even when we updated it mid trip, she was able to accommodate our requests. Great communicator and made our trip so much easier

Wendy is awesome as per usual! She has helped me out with Benji multiple times, with the longest sit being for 16 days and I came back to a very happy cat. She is very communicative and sends pictures every time she dropped in. I would definitely keep rebooking with her :)

Tasha was absolutely wonderful, and I’m incredibly grateful to her. I had an unexpected family emergency that required me to fly to Australia on very short notice, and she stepped in at the last minute to take care of my cats Pancake and Waffles while I was away. I felt like I could trust her from the moment we met, and she completely lived up to that impression. She sent me thoughtful, detailed updates every day, along with plenty of photos and videos, which was especially reassuring while I was so far from home. She always stayed for the full visit and often longer, and even Pancake, who can be pretty standoffish with new people, warmed up to her surprisingly quickly. Tasha also went above and beyond in lots of little ways: she picked up my mail, kept an eye on the cats’ supplies and let me know when I needed to order more, and was even kind enough to remove an extra day from the booking when I realized I would be returning a day earlier than expected. She was dependable and genuinely caring throughout a very stressful period. Pancake, Waffles, and I are all very grateful to her, and I would absolutely book with her again.

Sara was amazing with our baby. She truly understands cats and their nature. She took time to be patient with him and to not stress him. She is indeed a cat whisperer! We were out of the country for a week and came home to a very calm and happy kitty. I highly recommend Sara for her gentle nature, but also for her professionalism. Truly an amazing person and will be retaining her services going forward. I now feel comfortable hitting the road again and not worrying about our kitty. He is definitely in very safe hands with Sara.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
