“Madeline did an incredible job, I believe this is the first time I’ve come back and my big little baby is actually calm which lets me know she did give him the time and care that he needs. So grateful ❤️”

“Molly was great with my puppy Sky, they connected immediately! She stayed at my house over New Year's Eve and made me feel totally comfortable leaving my pup for the first time overnight with someone else; grateful to have found Molly!!”

“Neyda was a delight to meet and a fast friend to our Frenchie Lucy. The meet and greet with my wife included taking Lucy for a walk that started a bond. Neyda took good care of our home and our sweet dog. Already planning our next get away with Neyda to help take care of Lucy. A great find!”

“At the end of the day, neither one's dog, nor one's house can speak, but when you come home to your house as clean as the way you left it (if that is something important to you, if not perhaps cleaner?), and your dog is calm and happy to see you but not desperate, you can get a pretty clear picture of the experience they had. And there is no doubt in my mind that Dusti-Lee and my dog bonded-- in fact, when it came time to go to sleep, I had to carry my pup back to my room from the bed where she had been sleeping with Dusti. So my review is YES, Dusti will take care of your most precious beings and home as it if were hers. I am very grateful to have benefitted from her careful and attentive care!”

About: I have had pets all of my life and they truly bring me so much joy. I have had dogs as pets all of my life and I understand their needs and how to give them lots of love! I have experience with puppies, small dogs, big dogs, and elder doggies. I wasn’t allowed to have cats due to my dad’s allergies, but I volunteered at CARMA cat shelter for over a year to love on kitties in need of homes, and to learn how to understand cat caretaking. I love training my parent’s dog and teaching him fun tricks (rolling over, play dead, stand up). I’ve been trusted enough to take care of my friend’s cats and dogs when they are on vacation, it brings me so much joy to be trusted with and love on good doggies and kitties. I am a college student, so now that school is out of session for me, I am only working a part-time job. Outside of that job, I have plenty of time and nights to walk/stay the nights with your pets. I own a car so I have reliable means to travel to your homes, and I will always communicate quickly about how my schedule will fit into your pet’s needs. I will always follow any directions about how to care for your pet and your home. I will leave your home cleaner than it was before and try my best to make it seem as if I was not there. I want you to feel like your home is completely safe while you are away so all anxieties are eased. I will send you cute photos of your pet and always give you updates when needed!
“Casandra was a fantastic stay-in dog-sitter for us over the last week. She was extremely conscientious and thorough, keeping great track of schedules and preferences, sending regular updates and photos of walks/playtime/cuddling, and keeping things clean. She was reliable, highly communicative and clear, and demonstrated a great attitude throughout our interactions. We would definitely use her again for future needs, and recommend her strongly.”

“Aolani was absolutely fantastic! So sweet with our boys, super communicative and sent pictures for us every day. We felt so safe and secure knowing Aolani was taking care of our home.”

“Allie was amazing! She took such wonderful care of our 3 dogs and 2 cats. Allie helped our new rescue dog feel secure and at ease. Our neighbors all commented on the wonderful care she provided when they saw her walking the dogs. I would highly recommend Allie. Our pets were happy and relaxed when we came back from our trip.”

“Tom was exceptional in every way. So thoughtful in every way. Not to mention an amazing photographer! Thank you again for taking extra special care of Bella. Forever grateful. See you next time!🙏🏼♥️”

“This was my first time using Rover and Kai was absolutely the best. She was great with my two cats (who can be a handful), sent me photos and updates every day, and made the entire process incredibly easy. Kai has convinced me never to use my friends again, hahaha. So if you're looking for a great cat sitter, please look no further!”
“Liam was very professional and friendly. He stayed at our house with our dog when we needed last minute help. We definitely recommend him for anyone who needs a house sitter /pet care.”

“Margaret did a terrific job making sure my dog and apartment were well looked after while I was on a business trip. Came back to lots of tails wags. Would definitely recommend.”
“Absolutely the best service. She checked on my dogs after a questionable sitter situation and made sure they were safe and comfortable. She was patient, kind, and truly went above and beyond — leaving treats and even tidying up my living room. Highly recommend!”

“Emma was so flexible, and made sure my pups were taken care of when my flight was delayed last minute. I’m so thankful I never have to worry when Emma is watching them!”

About: I grew up around dogs and have always been involved for caring for my family's dogs, Bailey and Coco and Zipper - bathing them, feeding them, taking them on walks and keeping them entertained! I really want my own dog but since I'm planning to move around a lot in the next several years, I don't think it's the right time for me to take on that commitment. But I love being around dogs and I'm looking to pet sit so I can make some furry friends! I have looked after friends dogs, for periods of just a few hours up to several weeks. I have experience with all types of dogs. For example, when I looked after Kaiya, the white lab in my photos, we walked for around 2 hours a day - you might be able to tell from the photos that she was very active and loved exploring. When I cared for Mellow, the chihuahua in my photos, he had to have twice daily ear drops, which he really hated. But I made it up to him by letting him sit in my lap basically 100% of the time. I work remotely so I have a lot of flexibility and end my day quite early around 2pm, so we’d have lots of time for afternoon walks. Unless I have a specific event/activity planned, I am basically available whenever. I don't currently own a dog, so your pet would be my focus. Because I don't own a dog, I don't have any supplies/toys/etc on hand, so you would need to provide anything your dog needs.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Century City
Margaret is my first pet sitter to stay over and I'm so grateful that she made me and my animals have such a great experience. She sent me the cutest pictures throughout my trip. And told me funny stories of what they did so I was confident they were in trusting hands. She took care of my animals as if they were her own. And she played with them more than I do so I think they are really missing her. A real plus is that she is clean and respectful. I couldn't even tell someone stayed over. She actually left me a treat in my freezer which was so nice to come home to. Thank you Margaret! Thank you for being my go to! I'll be calling you again. :)

Jennifer was an exceptional cat sitter and house sitter. She took wonderful care of our two cats and send me daily videos and text updates letting me know how they were doing. She also brought in our packages and watered our plants and kept the house extremely clean. We returned from our trip to the happiest our cats have ever been following time away. I fully recommend Jennifer for any of your pet care or housesitting needs.
Robert stayed with Canela for 3 days while I was gone on a work trip. I came home to a happy and content dog! Robert was responsive and sent pictures sharing what she was up to. I knew she was in good hands and would 100% recommend Robert to stay at your house and watch your pup while you are traveling!

Ashton was so great with my dog and a super respectful houseguest as well. She gave updates throughout the stay with lots of great pictures and a level of detail that makes clear she pays attention to all your notes and cares deeply that your pet has a great experience. She’s very responsive and reliable; just exceptional. Lenny was happy and relaxed when I got him - 10/10 will book again 💕

Deirdre was exceptional! She cared for our high energy, total Velcro, one year-old Frenchie, Wonder, with endless patience, incredible dedication, and amazing attention to detail. She went above and beyond what was asked - even fixing our bathroom door, interfacing with our building’s impromptu maintenance visits, and caring for Kiki, the stray kitty we’ve adopted, as well as she did for Wonder. I’m very attached to Wonder (as we all are with our fur babies), and her frequent check ins and photo updates really gave me peace of mind. We love Deirdre and will definitely be booking her again. THANK YOU, Deirdre!!!!

April, Did a fantastic job with Sassy! She was incredibly caring, spent a lot of time with Sassy, took her for walks and played with her. Sassy adored her. April respected the feeding schedule of Sassy and handle everything professionally. I would absolutely have her back in my home to dog sit Sassy. I was pleased with the results and would recommend April highly!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Century City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Century City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Century City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Century City. On Rover:

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
