“Mark was great with Ransom over the weekend! Ransom can be a handful at times, especially on walks and Mark was more than up for the challenge. He gave plenty of updates throughout the day and tons of photos. He even went above and beyond leaving the apartment much cleaner than he found it!”

About: Animals have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had Blitzen, a shepherd-chow-briard mix who was equal parts protective and sweet, and she shaped the way I think about dogs early on. My family now has Kona, a briard who is basically a giant ball of love. Dogs have always been a big part of my everyday and that’s not something I’d ever want to change. Before joining Rover, I spent a year working at a dog daycare where I was hands-on every day, bathing, feeding, playing, supervising group time, and keeping everything clean and running smoothly. The most valuable part of that experience was learning how to read different temperaments quickly, de-escalate tension between dogs, and prevent conflicts before they started. I got comfortable with a wide range of breeds and personalities, from the easy-going to the reactive, and I know how to keep every dog feeling safe. I work from home running my own business, which means I have genuine flexibility throughout the day. Frequent check-ins, walks, and attention aren’t a stretch, they’re just how my day runs. Your dog won’t be sitting around waiting. I’ve also been around cats my whole life and am comfortable with all kinds of personalities. I always let them come to me on their own terms. I take your routines seriously, keep your home tidy, and send real updates, not just a quick thumbs up. Your pet’s comfort and your peace of mind are the whole point. I work from home running my own business, which means I have lots of flexibility throughout the day. Frequent check-ins, walks, and attention aren’t a stretch, they’re just how my day runs. Your pet won’t be sitting around waiting. I live in a pet friendly building with many parks and grassy areas for your animal to enjoy. Currently there will be no other pet if boarded at my home and I have access to a fenced yard if your animal is in need of one. I’m well equipped to provide a safe and structured environment for your pet, in their home our mine.
“Hard to describe in a quick review just how amazing Timothy is! By far the most responsive and alert sitter I've ever worked with, yet keeps an extremely calm and relaxing presence which puts us at ease. He watched our two pugs the weekend of our wedding, and we booked Timothy last minute after existing plans fell through. Our dogs joined the wedding for the reception but then had to go home right after. So Timothy not only watched our dogs all weekend after just meeting them, but he made sure to have the dogs on time and ready to go for our big event, coordinating everything with us along the way. He also went above and beyond handling one of our dogs who had some stomach issues the early morning after our wedding (which we think may have just been stress from the big day). He documented in detail any incidents of vomiting or soft stool and worked with me to adapt her walk + eating schedule in real time. Overall Timothy did a fantastic job with the dogs and everything else we threw at him on a hectic weekend. After that, I wouldn't think twice about booking Timothy again and plan to any time we need a sitter.”

“Michelle is incredible. For ten days she looked after our two cats and our home. She sent daily photos and updates. She thoughtfully took care of our home, leaving it clean and tidy for our return. It's clear she truly loves cats - ours were so relaxed and chill when we got home. She's a great communicator, a cool and reliable human. We feel lucky and grateful to have found her, ❤️”

“Todd was great with our dogs for an overnight! We don’t travel without the dogs very often and it’s hard finding someone new, Todd was very easy going and dependable and made sure our dogs and home were well looked after. And on a holiday no less. Thank you Todd!”

About: I grew up with a Shar Pei, a Weimaraner, a Pug, a French Bulldog, and I currently have a American Bully/Dachshund mix. As a kid, I would also play with and care for the animals in my neighborhood. I am skilled with dogs ranging in size from 2-160 pounds. I used to volunteer my Sundays with Much Love Animal Rescue at their Santa Monica and Century City locations. Dogs have always had a special place in my heart and the bond between humans and dogs is something to cherish. If your dog wants tug-o-war, fetch, belly rubs, or a companion to be with, then look no further: I am a dog lover from the beginning to the end of the doggie spectrum! I am currently working from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available for regularly scheduled walks/visits/feedings for your loved ones. I am also happy to help out on a last minute basis. I am happy to come to your home once or multiple times a day and/or overnights if needed. Your pets needs are my priority so you can trust me to show up when a plan is in place.
“Elizabeth watched my pup while I was delivering my baby for 5 days. She was super flexible when I had to stay at the hospital for longer than anticipated and very responsive to me. A friend dropped off baby clothes and when we got home Elizabeth had cleaned, sorted them for us. She truly went above and beyond and it was such a nice gesture. She also left the pace super clean. I highly recommend her.”

“We are so glad we met Julie! We previously had a bad experience with another Rover and was hesitant to try again but Julie has completely restored our faith in finding good help for our fur kids! Our kids were in Julie’s care during our honeymoon and we didn’t have to worry our entire trip. We were given updates, photos, and she even stayed vigilant when our dog food almost ran out and offered to go out and purchase food if the delivery didn’t make it in time. She was able to adhere to the schedules and activities discussed. Our house was left in the same condition it was in if not better. Julie exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to have her back!”

“Ban and Carlyn were amazing sitters. They house sat our two big dogs (90lbs and 60lbs) for a week. Before booking they came out for a quick meet and greet with the pups to see if it was a good match and the pups loved them right away. During their stay they were very communicative and got back to us in only a couple of mins. When we got back home the house was spotless and the pups were very happy. I would definitely recommend them to others.”

About: I've grown up with animals my entire life! From the moment my parents surprised my brother and me with our first dog when I was 7, I've loved caring for pets of all kinds. Since I was 10, I've been trusted by neighbors, friends, and family to walk, feed, and love their dogs and cats while they're away. I'm an animal lover through and through, and I treat every pet as if they were my own-making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're gone. My fiancée and I have a Beagle and we couldn’t imagine our lives without her. I work fully remotely and have flexibility to provide care all day, every day. I can provide any amount of attention and love your pet needs. I am truly an animal lover and strive to provide individualized care based on your pets’ unique needs. After graduating from UCLA a few years ago, I began helping neighbors and friends with their pets. I would love to expand my network in the community to love as many animals as possible.

“I had such a great experience with this sitter! She was incredibly kind and easy to communicate with from the start, which immediately put me at ease. While I was away, she sent me regular updates and photos, which really reassured me that my dog was happy and in good hands. She stayed at my home and took excellent care of everything ,well-kept space. Most importantly, my dog was clearly well cared for, relaxed, and happy. I truly appreciated her attentiveness, reliability, and the genuine care she showed. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful sitter!”

“Katy was able to create a safe and calm atmosphere for Nuri. She is a wonderful communicator and sent the most lovely pictures! I was very glad to hear he was able to feel so relaxed with her. Looking forward to next stay!”

“Sabrina was very attentive and loving towards Disco! She was also great at giving frequent updates. Definitely will book her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a pet-sitter”

About: Volunteered at an animal shelter and at an aquarium each for a year, respectively. Also have had cats for 10+ years, so I have plenty of day-to-day experience dealing with pets. I'm a UC Berkeley student back in Santa Monica for the summer (from now to mid-August), which means I can work basically whatever hours or whatever day of the week. Petting and playing with your pet, taking them for extra long walks, maybe even running with them for a little bit, if they seem down for it, feeding them (as specified), etc.
“Ivanti was such a wonderful sitter. She took great care of Milo and sent me regular updates. She left the house very clean and was respectable. Will definitely hire her again!”

“We were hesitant to leave our senior dog with someone new, but after meeting Lilian, we were immediately at ease. She didn’t bat an eye at my extremely lengthy instructions and sent lots of photos and videos. Our sweet girl takes some extra care and patience and we are so grateful that we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing she was in the best of hands. Our furnace went out the day before we returned and she handled it all without a glitch (despite a freezing cold house). We feel lucky to have found Lillian!”

“Leland did a great job caring for our two dogs. He complied with our instructions and requests, the dogs were in good shape both physically and emotionally when we returned and the house was clean. Thank you Leland!!!”

Machenzie did a great job watching my dog! She was caring, attentive, communicative, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving him with her. My dog was happy and relaxed when I came back which says everything. So grateful to have found someone so trustworthy — highly recommend!

Birutė is AMAZING!!! She took care of my Frenchie in my home and took great care of him and my home. He has a complex medication and feeding schedule and she followed it perfectly. He was happy, healthy, and living his best life and she sent a ton of photos to let me know!
Anna was great! This was our first time using Rover overnight for our cat and puppy. We were really nervous about having a stranger in our home with our animals but after our first call with Anna we were very confident that she would really care for our pets! She kept our place clean, sent us photos, exercised our crazy puppy a ton and gave our cat some love. I would definitely recommend her!

We LOVE having Jason stay with our girl, Luna. She’s always so excited to see him when he arrives at the house, and is super relaxed and calm when we arrive home from our travels. She’s been a bit under the weather lately but was in such great hands with Jason over our last trip.
