Insta: champsdogsitting I’ve been a full time entrepreneur since my early teens and am a recent MSEd graduate. Dog sitting has been an amazing outlet for exercise and connecting with furry friends since my own dog crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023. - I didn’t grow up with dogs, but I adopted one as soon as I finished college and was ready for one. I had my senior rescue dog, Champ, for 3 years before he passed away. I’m a fast learner and Champ’s spunky attitude taught me a lot about patience and his multifaceted personality gave me unique experiences with dog ownership. After adopting him, he had to go through heartworm treatment and I had to keep him completely calm but entertained for two months. Otherwise, he was a wild and energetic dog who loved his ball. I have experience with senior dogs, dogs needing to be kept calm for heartworm treatment, doggy dementia, deafness, vision problems, and dogs with separation anxiety. Because I’ve had to look on Rover for sitters, I know how scary it can be to trust your baby with a stranger! My largest issue with Rovers has been poor communication - because of that, I seek to always be in communication with the owner for problems, questions, or fun updates! I provide 2-3 updates with photos daily and am available for questions any time during reasonable hours.

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I have five years of experience with dogs including heartworm treatment, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dementia, and more. Safety is my top priority, with the dog having fun coming in second. I want the dog to feel as relaxed as possible when it misses its humans.

Schedule
When house sitting, I provide 2-3 updates daily and communication as needed. I work part time from home, so have flexibility. I have strong communication skills and understand the need for having a responsible person come in and let the dog out/go on walks. When I have social plans, meetings, or run errands, I leave the dog for 4-6 hours at a time unless otherwise stated.
