About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover who has had dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up with dogs taught me not only how to care for them, but also how much joy, companionship, and unconditional love they bring into our lives. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'm happy to provide the care and attention they need to feel comfortable and loved while you're away. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and needs so they can feel safe and at home. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own and give pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in caring, reliable hands. I am an elementary school teacher who is currently on summer break so my daily schedule has cleared up a lot. I have a flexible schedule! I live in a secure apartment building with easy access to an outside grassy area. I have plenty of space to fit a crate if needed.
“Allison was a great sitter! She is quality at its finest and highest. So communicative and clear, so understanding and accommodating. Scarlet was so sleepy and in great spirits when i picked her up. From the photos it is so evident how relaxed and calm the environment is. I recommend Allison’s services to the moon and beyond— look no further and send that message. Can’t wait to book again. Thank you with all of me!!”

About: Hi, I'm Caroline! As a remote worker, I am home during day so I can provide your pet with constant companionship, regular potty breaks, and most importantly lots of love. I'm new to Rover, but not new to pet sitting. My experience includes caring for a family dog and cat, pet sitting, fostering, and volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society. I have never met a dog or cat I didn't like. My apartment is animal friendly, smoke-free, and ready to become a safe home away from home for your pet with lots of nap spots. I'm open to everything from high-energy puppies or kittens who need consistent play and training to gentle seniors who want a relaxed environment. I am highly skilled at reading animal body language and creating a calm environment for anxious pets. Above all, I will respect your rules for your pet and love them as my own. I cannot wait to love and care for your furry family member while you are away! Please note I open up my availability about a month in advance so my calendar is constantly being updated and I am happy to work to accommodate last minute bookings :) I'm currently working freelance and I work from home so I have lots of time to care for your pups and adjust my flexible schedule to your needs! While I live in an apartment, I have a large living space so your pet will never feel cramped. I am also a very active person so your pet can expect lots of walks, dog park visits, or whatever makes them happy. I love being creative with stimulating activities whether it's in my home or outside. I do not have any pets of my own beside those that I dogsit or foster so I can work to accommodate pets that prefer to be the only animal in the home. :)
“Jane was great as always. Our pup had extra energy before we dropped him off and she got him the exercise he needed. We always feel confident he’ll be well cared for when we leave him with Jane.”

“Today was Emily’s first day with our very energetic and little puppy Maximo who is only 3 months old. She was hands down so incredible. She was with him all day and did so many activities with him and sent us endless videos and pix. I immediately felt beyond comfortable leaving our Maximo with her and look forward to upcoming visits. She is beyond a 5 star rating. Thx a million. She’s the best”

“We were travelling and needed someone to watch our dogs for the day. We were a bit nervous leaving our dogs with a stranger but as soon as we met Sloane we felt confident that she would take good care of our pups. Her place was very dog friendly and she was very down to earth. She seemed to really love dogs and seemed able to handle our 80lb 3-year-old Husky mix who can be pretty intense at times. If we're ever in LA again I would definitely ask her to watch them again, I wish she lived closer to us! The dogs seemed to really like her right away to.”

About: I’m an experienced dog owner who was recently a mom to a 75 lb high-energy Labradoodle for 14 years, so I’m very comfortable with large breeds, active dogs, and dogs that need structure and attention. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for family and friends over the years, and I understand how important it is to trust the person watching your pet. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, attentive home environment with plenty of supervision, consistency, and affection. I provide photo and video updates twice daily so you always know how your dog is doing. I’m especially a great fit for dogs who are used to being part of the family and thrive with routine and attention. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home, so your dog will have consistent supervision and attention throughout the day. We have a fenced-in yard for safe outdoor time, along with multiple walks in the neighborhood to keep dogs active and engaged. I have two boys (ages 9–12) who are very comfortable around animals. They’re gentle, respectful, and enjoy helping with things like playtime and attention, so your dog will be part of a calm, family environment. I’m able to follow feeding schedules and administer medication as needed. When I do leave the house, it’s typically for short periods (no more than 2–3 hours), and I prefer to crate dogs during that time for their safety and comfort, if that aligns with your routine. Overall, your dog will be in a structured, attentive home where they’re treated like part of the family. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your dog in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I maintain a structured, calm environment and am always mindful of routines, boundaries, and each dog’s individual needs. Dogs are never left unattended for long periods, and I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and any signs of stress or discomfort. I follow owner instructions closely, whether that’s feeding, medication, exercise, or specific preferences. My home is set up with safety in mind, including a fully fenced yard and a controlled environment indoors. When I do step out briefly, I prefer dogs to be safely crated (if that’s part of their routine) to prevent any accidents or stress. You’ll also receive consistent photo and video updates, so you always know your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: Growing up surrounded by dogs has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From an early age, I learned how to care for them—feeding, walking, playing, and making sure they felt safe and loved. Each dog I’ve had has taught me patience, responsibility, and the joy that comes with building a bond of trust. Because of this lifelong experience, I understand the importance of attention, consistency, and affection when it comes to caring for a dog. I genuinely love spending time with them, whether it’s for a walk, a game of fetch, or simply sitting together and giving them the comfort they need. My background makes me a dependable and loving caregiver, and I would treat your dog as if they were my own. Your dog’s happiness, safety, and well-being would always be my top priority. My partner and I work from home during the week and take about four long walks throughout my day. Both of us being home allows us to give the dogs attention and make sure that they are having fun When pet sitting I use the commands and rules that the dog is familiar with and make sure that the dog is comfortable with me before taking them on a walk.

Maria took such wonderful care of our puppy, Archie, during our trip to LA. She was incredibly flexible with our schedule, kept us updated with photos and gave us complete peace of mind throughout our trip. It was obvious how much she genuinely loves dogs and Archie was so well cared for and happy with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with Maria again. Highly recommend!

Chelsi welcomed my fur babygirl Kali into her home with open arms. She provided a safe, balanced, fun, extremely caring and attentive environment while I was at work. It was my first time leaving Kali with anyone other than family and I highly recommend Chelsi to trust with your fur baby.

Da Sol was absolutely wonderful with Lola! From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, communicative, and responsive. She took the time to meet with us beforehand to get to know Lola and understand her routine, which really gave us confidence that Lola would be in great hands. She was always quick to respond to messages and made both drop off and pick up really easy. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Lola and made her feel comfortable and well looked after. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Da Sol again. Highly recommend!

Roxy helped us with day care for our two miniature schnauzers when we were visiting LA this past week and she was a lifesaver! She was so kind and caring, her house was warm and inviting and her yard was a little doggie's dream! Our dogs were so well cared for, they stayed through the dinner hour and Roxy gave us back our bowls nice and clean. She sent us photos throughout the day and everyone looked like they were having a great time. I highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again next time we come to town with our dogs and we need some "no dog" time! Thank you so much, Roxy!

Arim and her husband took care of my senior pup and they were so attentive to him and the instructions! Ben is a senior pup with IVDD, arthritis, and selective hearing, so naturally I become a little anxious when leaving him with someone new, but they both made him feel relaxed and took a very good care of him! I received a ton of updates but I could also tell by the way he behaved after I picked him up. 10/10!!!

Lucy was amazing!!! She took such good care of our puppy Oatmeal, going above and beyond!! It was our first time using the app and we couldn’t be happier having chosen Lucy! We got updates and pictures all throughout the day on how great things were going! She was respectful to our space - we came home to a clean apartment and happy puppy! She even stayed extra time to give her the best care!! Will absolutely be our first contact for any help in the future! 10/10 recommend

Jenny was great with my dog ! They went on long walks, had playtime with Hank, and lots of snuggles. Jenny was communicative and responsive throughout the day with updates and pictures. Drop off and pickup was also smooth and easy. We will be coming back soon!

I’m so grateful to have found Ellie! She’s been communicative throughout, and her kind, gentle nature comes through in how she handles Thunder, who’s always relaxed and comfortable with her. She’s also been wonderfully responsive and accommodating with last-minute requests. Highly recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Century City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
