About: My roommate brought her dog to college and I was the primary care giver when she was busy. For 2 years I balanced my school with caring for & walking our Daisy girl. I was always reliable and there through all of her hard times. I also LOVE going on walks for exercise and always bring a friend with me! I’m currently working 8-4pm 5 days a week. 2 days are remote (I can choose which days), and during the days at home I am very flexible and can take a break to walk your pup, and then resume work later. I am very free on the weekends. I love going on walks and being surrounded by others, so dog walking is perfect for me to make my daily walks more fun! My home has lots of space inside to play. I treat every dog as if they are my own, with lots of love and safety.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and have cared for everything from 10-pound lap dogs to 100-pound giants. I also cared for my own senior dog for the last three years of her life, so I'm comfortable giving medications and providing the extra patience and attention older pets need. I also have a young cat named Annie and have experience caring for foster cats. In my free time, I volunteer with a local animal rescue, where I work with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just wants someone to keep them company, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. I am currently looking for a new full time job so I have plenty of time to devote to different types of pet care at the moment! I treat every pet like they're my own and try to stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any other care they need. I know every pet has a different personality, so whether they want to play, explore, or just curl up on the couch, I'm happy to meet them where they're comfortable. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and will be given close, loving attention throughout each day! I'm comfortable with all types of pet needs, including administering medications and basic potty and manor training for puppies. Just let me know how I can help and I will make my schedule fit your needs! I have a 30 lb mini-bernedoodle of my own who is incredibly sweet and gentle, especially with smaller dogs. She is pretty calm and good at reading the room, but is willing to do one on one play time if your dog is looking for a playmate. :)

“Rachel absolutely rocks!!!!! While I love my cat she can be difficult at times to say the least with anyone but me. Plus she requires medicine every 12 hours and is 15 years old. First trip in a few years and honestly thought it would be a train wreck but then I found Rachel….. Super responsive, consistent, and I could tell she picked up on how important my little feline was to me. Food, water, litter box, meds, and knocked it all out of the park. Plus….. while Rachel didn’t say anything I know my cat so there had to be some vomit as that’s what cats do but no sign so Rachel cleaned it up presumably and not a peep! I would and plan to let this lady handle my feline stuff every time going fwd. Rachel, thank you so much!!!!”

About: I grew up with cats but have taken care of numerous dogs throughout my life. I have experience with all sizes and temperaments, including seniors, special diets, anxiety-prone pups and routine-focused households. During the week I'm usually working in an Art Gallery in Inglewood where dogs are allowed. Working remotely is also possible. On the weekends im working in Retail on Abbot Kinney. I would love to discuss the schedule with you. Currently I'm house and pet sitting only. My apartment doesn't allow pets but I have no problem with moving into your home to make it as comfortable as possible for your fur-baby. I don't have a car, so it should be close to Venice Beach, walkable preferred.

About: I've been a dog walker, dog lover, dog groomer, dog kisser, dog snuggler, dog hugger, dog teacher and dog admirer since the day I was born. Growing up, my family always had a dog around the house. We had Mandy Dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer), Winnie (fluffy-sunshine-mix-a-doodle) and Paris (Australian Shepherd/Pitbull mix) at various stages of my youth. When I was 12, I raised my first puppy (a lil fluffy Golden named Lucy) and I taught her everything from sit to play dead. In high school I was a dog bather for a local dog groomer. From this job I learned about different breed personalities, needs and care. Currently, I work from home and would love to care for your friend. I'm very flexible on timing and availability. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I can do same-day visits on the west side. Whatever you and your pet need I will try to accommodate. My front yard is enclosed and safe for sniffing and hanging out but I will be walking your pets all around my area (avoiding the canals) and playing with them on the beach (unless you don't want this/they don't enjoy that).

About: Just moved from Seattle to Venice beach. Starting over and rebuilding my boarding clientele. My boyfriend and I have a beautiful one bedroom apartment with a fenced outdoor space just steps from the beach. We have three dogs which consist of two seniors and one lazy one. In Seattle I had an upward for 40 or so regular clients whose dogs I cared for over many years. It was tough saying goodbye but I’m excited to rebuild and make new dog friends here in Venice :) Dogs have been my world since I was a kid. I started out working in dog daycares and boarding facilities where I learned a lot about pack behavior, safety, and reading different personalities. I later moved into grooming, which I still enjoy doing sometimes. Over the years I’ve also been involved in foster care and rescue for dogs in high kill shelters later helping dogs find homes. I most recently spent seven years working in veterinary medicine so I’m very comfortable recognizing health issues and caring for dogs with different needs. When pets stay with me, they become part of the household. I keep a calm, structured environment with lots of attention, play, and rest time. Dogs have access to comfy spots to relax, supervised social time if they enjoy other dogs, and consistent routines so they feel secure, safe, and genuinely at home.

For longer stays I prefer my dog accompany me. She is 1.5 years old, trained, and extremely friendly.
