Hi, I’m Amanda! I’ve been a Rover sitter for over 5 years, but my experience with animals goes back a lifetime. I grew up with both cats and dogs of all ages, and I've volunteered in animal shelters, giving me hands-on experience with all kinds of temperaments and care needs. I currently work in animal rehabilitation as a veterinary acupuncturist, and I started on Rover while in grad school. I loved building those connections so much that I’ve kept doing it in my free time! Whether you have a senior pet needing extra support, a dog who’s leash reactive, or a shy kitty who needs patience and understanding, I’m here to help. I’m trained and comfortable administering medications, including injections and subcutaneous fluids, and I have a strong understanding of animal behavior and stress signals. At home, I have two 9-year-old cats and a 4-year-old dog, so I know the importance of finding someone who treats your pets like family—because that’s what I do. I tailor every visit or walk to your pet’s individual needs, whether that means gentle playtime, a slow stroll, administering meds, or just quality companionship while you’re away. I make sure to enter my client’s homes with awareness that their pet may try to slip out. I leave their space just as clean, if not cleaner than when I arrived and make sure no hazards are left out and their home is securely locked. I am unable to accommodate pets in my home, as I have my own!

I’m moving soon, and I’m dreading finding a new Rover. Amanda was so thoughtful with me and my pets—left detailed notes and pictures, actively played with them, and they loved her. Truly 10/10, I’m so grateful we had her!

Harmonogram
I have a flexible schedule and have been able to accommodate most requests. I take bookings throughout the day and am generally able to work them around my full time job fairly easily. I also am available for many holidays!
