Safety, trust & environment
I make sure to enter my client’s homes with awareness that their pet may try to slip out. I leave their space just as clean, if not cleaner than when I arrived and make sure no hazards are left out and their home is securely locked. I am unable to accommodate pets in my home, as I have my own!
Information Amanda G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any behavioral issues your cat or dog has. Do they not like to be pet in certain areas? Do they not like other cats, dogs, people, small children, etc? Is there a tendency for them to try to get out? Do they have any allergies? What is their energy level? And really just anything else you can think of that is imperative for their care!
A typical day
Whether it's a cat or a dog, I try to find out what it is they like to do or how they like to play. If a dog or cat prefers to just hang out, I can cuddle/pet them or just be with them if they do not like to be touched. If there's a certain activity they really enjoy, like fetch, I'll do that as well!

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Amanda! I’ve been a Rover sitter for over 5 years, but my experience with animals goes back a lifetime. I grew up with both cats and dogs of all ages, and I've volunteered in animal shelters, giving me hands-on experience with all kinds of temperaments and care needs. I currently work in animal rehabilitation as a veterinary acupuncturist, and I started on Rover while in grad school. I loved building those connections so much that I’ve kept doing it in my free time! Whether you have a senior pet needing extra support, a dog who’s leash reactive, or a shy kitty who needs patience and understanding, I’m here to help. I’m trained and comfortable administering medications, including injections and subcutaneous fluids, and I have a strong understanding of animal behavior and stress signals. At home, I have two 9-year-old cats and a 4-year-old dog, so I know the importance of finding someone who treats your pets like family—because that’s what I do. I tailor every visit or walk to your pet’s individual needs, whether that means gentle playtime, a slow stroll, administering meds, or just quality companionship while you’re away. Let me know how I can support you and your pets—I’d love to meet them!
Reviews
Always caring and compassionate
Amanda is the perfect pet-sitter, she has been watching my elderly cat Rogue many times over the years and I am always so relieved to know that she is in good care while I’m away. Couldn’t recommend Amanda more!
I’m moving soon, and I’m dreading finding a new Rover. Amanda was so thoughtful with me and my pets—left detailed notes and pictures, actively played with them, and they loved her. Truly 10/10, I’m so grateful we had her!

Amanda was super responsive and was even able to stop by an extra day. We truly appreciate her willingness to take care of our very grumpy girl ❤️
