“Caitlin was the perfect person to have drop in for my Judy. She was communicative and let me know she was there and how my cat was doing. She made sure she had food and water and played with her for a bit. She also sent me adorable pictures which I always appreciate.”

About: Since I don’t have a dog at home anymore , I pour that energy into the dogs I sit by giving them walks, playtime and cuddles. I currently work full time as a Marketing Coordinator (in Torrance), therefore I have evenings available after 5pm or anytime during a weekend from 5am-9pm. I have a side patio and a welcoming home. I have always loved taking care of dogs and will ensure your dog gets fed, walked, and played with.

“Kendra is always so thoughtful and caring when she visits our cats. They absolutely love her and always come out of their hiding spots to hang out with her and get some one on one attention.”

“Heather is my go to cat sitter and she’s so wonderful in making sure my cats are well taken care of when we’re gone. She’s responsive and adaptable as well. We’re so sad to be moving away since Heather won’t be our sitter anymore!”

About: I've either had dogs or lived around dogs my whole life. I can win over even the most reluctant or nervous dogs, and before you know it, I'm one of their best friends. Nights and weekends are no issue! I am available on weekdays in the early mornings and late evenings, and on weekends essentially all day. Quick potty breaks, walks in the park, or petsitting, I can do about anything but boarding. I cannot board or sit dogs in my apartment. However, when sitting at other houses the most important thing to me is taking care of the needs of the dog. In between walks and potty breaks I'm more than happy to play with your dog and give them lots of scritches. If medication or special foods are needed, just let me know.

About: Moving to LA meant leaving my family dogs back home. Missing my four-legged besties led me to the world of pet sitting. My experience ranges from caring for Golden Retrievers to Bengal cats. With love and respect at the forefront, I take care of every pet as if it is one of my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my day around the pets in my care, whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, playtime, walks, or just being present for companionship. Because of this flexibility, I’m more than willing to adjust and mold my schedule to meet each owner’s specific needs and ensure their pet’s routine stays consistent and stress-free. I focus on creating a comfortable, stress-free experience by sticking closely to each pet’s normal routine. I follow all care instructions carefully so pets feel secure and at ease. In my home, I provide a clean, safe, and calm environment with plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and aim to keep everything consistent for the pet, which helps reduce anxiety while their owner is away. On top of that, I also pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs, making adjustments as needed and ensuring they’re happy and comfortable. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

I’m also available for overnight boarding and would love to make your dog feel safe, loved, and cared for like they’re part of the family. Can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I work from home so I have fairly free availability most days of the week and your pet will have constant companionship! About: Leaving your fur babies behind is never easy, but I’m here to give you total peace of mind. As a registered veterinary technician with 14 years of experience caring for animals, I’m happily stepping out of the clinic and into your home! My goal is to bring that same high level of medical expertise and attentiveness into the comfortable, stress-free environment where your pets feel safest. Whether your sweet pup or kitty needs a strict medical routine, or just an extra dose of love and belly rubs while you’re away, I promise to treat them exactly like my own. Because I work from home, I have the complete freedom and flexibility to closely adhere to your pet's individual daily routine and schedule. Whether that’s with drop-in visits, walks and exercise, or pet sitting in your home. Every pet has their own perfect pace, and I'm happy to match it. From leisurely walks along the strand/beach to high-energy games of fetch in the park or yard, or just cozying up for some serious couch-potato cuddles, your pet gets exactly the kind of day they love most. My extensive veterinary background equips me to handle pets that require specialized attention. I am highly experienced in administering oral and injectable medications. I have been fully trained in recognizing subtle animal behaviors, and tailor my care to meet their individual needs and personalities. I always respect their boundaries, move to their level of comfort, and use only positive and gentle handling so they feel safe and loved. My own experience caring for my beloved cranky 14 year old pup, who suffers from epilepsy and immune mediated illness, has taught me to be extremely observant, read body language meticulously, and proactively adapt environments to avoid negative situations. I am passionate about welcoming animals of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and life stages—from energetic puppies and kittens to sweet seniors. I have 2 senior pups and a 26-year-old tortoise of my own! My love for animals is a huge part of who I am, even outside the clinic. While living in Southeast Asia, I spent my time volunteering with local rescue organizations, where I personally loved on and cared for over 200 dogs and puppies. From nursing injured and paralyzed pups to keeping up with daily feeding, bathing, and playtime, I was fully hands-on. Above all, your pet’s safety and happiness are at the heart of everything I do. I want you to feel like you're leaving your baby with a trusted friend. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive, and deeply compassionate, and I treat your home and pets with the utmost respect. I promise to keep you connected with plenty of sweet updates and photos along the way. I truly love going the extra mile to ensure that you can relax completely, knowing your furry family member is feeling loved, comfortable, and completely pampered. Can't wait to meet your best friend! Working from home gives me the complete flexibility to seamlessly match your pets daily routine. I am available for whatever your pet needs, from walks and feedings to drop-in’s and full pet sitting. Because my own grumpy senior pup doesn’t do well with new friends, I don’t offer care in my home. However, I’d love to keep your pets routine perfectly consistent by caring for them in their own familiar space.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - El Segundo
So much appreciation for Sophia who came in clutch for us and was just a lifesaver angel ! Our geriatric furbaby needs a gentle touch and kind caregiver (she can occasionally go on eating strikes when stressed)—Sophia was communicative and Keiki could tell she was safe and in good hands. She happily ate when Sophia spent time with her and we couldn’t be more grateful. Will surely be honored to work w/Sophia again <3

Caitlin was great from the start. She communicated well, sent photos so I knew everything was fine, and handled my two large (and energetic) Portuguese water dogs with total calm. She even took care of a little surprise they left her without missing a beat. Will definitely seek to book her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
