“Maggie was very proactive and responsive. Instructions were followed exactly and we had great peace of mind while we were out of town. She is a very caring individual. She also sent us pictures and videos of our piggies during each one of her visits. We will definitely continue to reach out to her whenever we are in need of a sitter for our piggies! Very highly recommended!”

About: Hi everyone my name is Angie and I may be new to Rover but I am not new to loving and caring for precious pups. I currently don't have any dogs living with me but prior to July 2025 I had my own fur babies since 1992. I decided this would be a wonderful way for me to get some puppy love, bring peace of mind to traveling pet parents, and make some money while providing a loving service. I have taken care of many of my friends pups along the way. Saki, Sophie, Sushi, Bodhi, Lucy, and Honey. I also occasionally foster dogs to help my friend's rescue. I would love to meet and care for your babies. My home is a safe and loving space for pups to play and have their "stay-cation"!! I work from home and will be available to be with the pet pretty much all day. Consistent time outdoors will be provided weather permitting. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to play or grab that nice patch of sunshine to nap in. I maintain a clean and calm environment.
“Indra is fantastic. She was amazing with Milly and went above and beyond what was requested. Milly adores her. She communicated with us and updated us along the way on how Milky was doing. We absolutely loved the pictures and videos she shared with us. We highly recommend her.”

“My 1.5 year old Chihuahua takes a minute to warm up to any stranger and the moment that Yu-Yen walked through the door for his first walk he needed belly rubs from her!! And even on their walk! (Which he never does haha) she’s so kind and showed up right on time and she’s even now doing an overnight stay for four days with him because he loved her so much! 10/10 would recommend”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and they’ve always been a big part of my family. Taking them on walks has never felt like a chore—it’s one of my favorite ways to bond, explore, and make sure they’re happy and healthy. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they get the care, exercise, and attention they deserve. I work most days but I start very early and am looking to have a few dogs while I walk in the evening and make some new furry friends along the way. I care for pets with the same love and attention I give my own. Whether I’m walking a dog, dropping by for a visit, or caring for them in their home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I stick to their routine as closely as possible—feeding times, potty breaks, walks, and playtime—so they feel secure and happy. I also keep an eye on their behavior and energy levels to make sure everything is going smoothly, and I always provide updates so you feel connected and at ease.

About: I have been dog sitting and dog walking for friends and neighbors for about 15 years now. I have done dog sitting for various breeds including chihuahuas, corgis, german shepherds, aussies, poodles, etc. so I know how different their energy levels can be but can handle it all! Depending on what you are comfortable with, your dogs stay will include trips to the dog park, long walks around the neighborhood, playing with my own doggo, and of course being showered with love. I have my own Australian Shepherd who loves meeting new friends! Both of us would love to get the chance to spend some time with your doggo! I do work full time but I work earlier in the day so have afternoons / evenings free for drop-in’s, walks, etc for your doggo! About: I have worked with animals since I was a little girl on my grandpas farm! I worked in dog boarding, dog grooming and did an internship through the SPCA. I also fostered cats for multiple years and have experience with medication, shots and different types of temperament. I have dealt with it all! I currently work part time at a bank so I have lots of availability especially on weekends. I usually work 4-6 hours during the day. I feel as though animals are more comfortable at their own house so I’d be more than happy to take them on long walks around the neighborhood or even play in the backyard.
About: I began dog sitting a couple of years ago for the families I babysat for. When they would go out of town I would bring my furry friends home with me. I’ve always enjoyed taking them to the nearby parks and beaches around me. When they stay with me they are taken care for and treated like family. I work full time but I’m free on the weekends and occasionally on Fridays. My availability is mainly on the weekends since I am home. When I bring them home with me I like to have their bed and food set up in my living room. I have a back yard where they can hang out as well. I like to keep them in their routine and walk them frequently so they’re not inside all day. I try to do the same even if they stay in their home. I will check in as often as I can and will take them on longer walks when they stay in their home since I am not there the whole day as I would be in my own home.
“Lipika was the greatest. What piece of mind I had on my trip. This service is so worth it. The pictures and comment go a long way. Last time I asked a friend and I didn’t feel the care that Lipika had. Thank you for great people like her and I will book again for my upcoming trip in June and September!”

“Birgitta made all visits including checking robot litter box, auto feeders, and water. She kept close contact and provided status updates on the rover.com app. We arrived home early and was able to help with the final 8th day feeding without issues. The cat looked great. Thanks for taking good care for 'Nile.'”

So much appreciation for Sophia who came in clutch for us and was just a lifesaver angel ! Our geriatric furbaby needs a gentle touch and kind caregiver (she can occasionally go on eating strikes when stressed)—Sophia was communicative and Keiki could tell she was safe and in good hands. She happily ate when Sophia spent time with her and we couldn’t be more grateful. Will surely be honored to work w/Sophia again <3

Indra did an amazing job dropping in to check on out pets during our trip. She was prompt, reliable, and communicative. She took extra care giving out pets the type of attention they like, and shared great pictures and videos with us daily. Would highly recommend.

Kyle was so good with our 12 week old puppy by the end of his second drop in for the day they became friends already! He send us many pictures and updates. This was our first time leaving our puppy so all the updates and pictures were very helpful. We will be booking his services again.

Juliana was great for our cats, who were alone for the first time after being adopted for a weekend trip. She sent great updates and was super friendly with the cats, spent time playing with them after feedings, and followed every ask on our wish list for check-ins. She even cleaned the kitchen after our cats got into our cabinets and made sure the floors and counters were safe for them. We appreciate Juliana so much, she made our trip stress free!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
