About: Hello! My name is Kaylee and I’m in my mid- 20s. I grew up with both big and small dogs as well as cats! I started pet sitting in high school for local families. In college, my roommates and I worked with a local vet office to foster a cat and her four kittens. All that to say, I love being around animals and currently don’t have any of my own. I love going on walks and hikes, and it would be a joy to take your dog along with me. I’m a young professional who works a pretty flexible full time job. I’m available for early mornings and evenings on the weekdays along with open hours on the weekend. I would love to keep your pets routine as close to their typical care as possible. If you’ve got a list of how you like things done, I can follow it to a tee!
“Mackenzie is very organized and always came by at the time we agreed on, and my cats trusted her immediately. She sent clear photos and detailed accounts of her drop-in visits, and always responded promptly when I messaged her with questions or additional information. I’ll definitely be keeping her in my contacts for future pet-sitting needs.”

“Brooke was absolutely amazing with our dog Cocoa! She was so thoughtful, patient, and easy to work with. She gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our travels knowing that our dog was in wonderful hands”

About: I have pets of my own so taking care of your pups would mean everything I’ve token care of pups on other apps to and can add recommendations if needed ☺️🤎 I can dog sit or do drop ins when ever it’s needed by pups parents so that wouldn’t be an issue with scheduling with me. I have 1 pup of my own she’s a gem she and gets along very well with dogs but if you don’t trust having your pup around her I can have a family member watch over her 😊

About: Ive always loved and gotten along with animals. My mom taught me at a young age to not just react to their actions but to listen to them on a deeper level while intuiting their emotions. I love and respect dogs and cats because of how emotive they are and how unique each one of their personalities is. No two are alike, which is why caring for one is always a unique experience. I am available for all times any day of the week! I am a solo game developer so since I work for myself, if I am not writing code, I'll be taking care of your pets! I have am completely open to being recorded on a ring/home camera for owners own sense of security and to ensure I am giving the absolute best care to their little ones.

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is my unparalleled experience and genuine love for dogs, cultivated over 35 years of dedicated care! From raising puppies to caring for elderly dogs, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every pet sitting assignment. My experience allows me to confidently administer medications, provide specialized care, and handle any situation that may arise with patience and compassion. Beyond my skills, Im a huge dog-lover! Ive had dogs since the day I was born and can't imagine life without one! I treat each dog as if they were my own. With me, your beloved dog will not only receive wonderful care, but will also experience the warmth and affection of a true dog lover, making their stay with me an unforgettable and very happy experience :) I work from home, so I'm very flexible. I can watch your dog at my house, take your dog on walks, or house sit at your place during the day. I live in a house. I have a fenced in yard. I also have a pool and grassy areas for your dog to do their business. I also have a Belgian Malinois who is so loving and playful and loves other dogs! I'm also a mom of 9 year old twins who LOVE dogs :)
“Emma was super responsive and on-time for a last minute booking. Finn was instantly comfortable with her which made us feel much safer, being that it was our first reservation in LA and in our new place. She regularly sent us pictures of the two of them lounging ❤️ would definitely reach out to her again should the need arise.”

About: Hi! I'm Andrea, a Sherman Oaks local, mom, and lifelong animal lover who's been around dogs and cats my whole life (including the two cats currently running my home). I know what it means to hand your pet off to someone and hope for the best, and I want to be the person you never have to worry about. I offer 30 and 60 minute dog walks, dog drop-in visits, and cat drop-in visits for pets who need a little company and attention during the day. Every visit includes a photo update and a quick note about how your pet did. I know that stuff matters when you're at work wondering how they're doing! I keep my client list intentionally small so I can give every animal real attention, not just a rushed loop around the block or a quick bowl refill. Meet-and-greets are always included before we get started; I want to make sure it's a good fit for your pet, not just a booking. I'm based in Sherman Oaks and cover the surrounding Valley neighborhoods. If you're looking for someone consistent, reliable, and genuinely invested in your pet's wellbeing, I'd love to connect! I keep my client list small and intentional, which means your pet is never an afterthought in a packed day. Visits are scheduled with enough buffer time so I'm never rushed and your pet gets my full attention, not a quick check-in between back-to-back bookings. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same care I'd want someone to show mine. I follow your instructions closely, make sure doors and gates are secure, and never cut a visit short. For dog walks, I use your pet's own leash and equipment unless you prefer otherwise, and I stay aware of the environment around us like other dogs, traffic, anything that could affect your pet's safety. For cat drop-ins, I move calmly through your space, make sure food, water, and litter are taken care of, and spend real time with your cat rather than just completing a checklist.
“Rachel was great with our new dog, Bruce! He gets nervous when he is home alone at the moment, but Rachel made Bruce feel safe and calm. Giving lots of attention and cuddles. Definitely recommend!”

“Iana was great with my cat and very communicative. She provided photos for every visit and followed instructions regarding my pet. Would book her again in the future!”

About: As dog owners ourselves, we believe in a simple principle: we won't do anything for your dog that we wouldn't do for our own. During the time they're with us, we treat them as if they were our own, with full attention and care. What makes our care different is that your dog gets the attention of two people, not one! Both my spouse and I work from home, so there's always someone around for companionship, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. We also know LA life can be unpredictable, so having two of us means we're able to stay flexible and work around your schedule whenever possible. As a clinical psychologist with a background in behavioral psychology, plus hands-on experience having personally adopted and trained a rescue dog, I understand dogs' needs on a deeper level, from anxiety and attachment to motivation and habit-building. Over the years caring for dogs across LA, we've worked with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and personalities, including dogs with picky eating, excessive barking, or high energy levels, and tailor our approach to each dog's individual needs. We always welcome a meet & greet before booking! There's a large, quiet park right by our home where we can chat through your dog's routine and make sure everyone feels comfortable. **First time clients please enjoy $20 off your first booking!** https://www.rover.com/sit/chanwl43421 Schedule Both my spouse and I work from home, so we're available for care any day of the week! Weekdays and weekends alike. This also gives us a lot of flexibility with pick-up and drop-off times, and we're happy to work around your schedule. Whether you need a quick daycare visit or long-term boarding, we'd love to help. Safety, trust & environment In our home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play, and with two of us around, dogs are never left unattended! You'll get regular check-ins and updates so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands. I follow your dog's routine closely and keep safety top of mind, whether it's leash rules on walks, feeding instructions, or respecting boundaries around other pets (We have three playpens! on hand, so we can easily section off space when needed). Our back patio is fully fenced, so dogs can enjoy off-leash time to run and play safely. We've made sure there's nothing sharp or hazardous back there, and we clean up after every potty break and hose down the area to keep it fresh and sanitary. Neighborhood dogs stop by for potty breaks too, so it's also a great spot for your pup to socialize. Being a typical Asian household, we don't wear shoes inside and that same care extends to keeping things clean for your pup! We vacuum 3-4 times a day, wash food and water bowls after every use, and wipe down paws with baby wipes (dog-wipes on request!) after walks.
“Vincent took wonderful care of my older chihuahua when I had to travel. I’m super nervous about leaving my dog, but felt comfortable with Vincent right away. My doggo liked him right away too! Vincent was a great communicator and took really great photos during walks - which was awesome. Highly recommend.”

“Emmy did an amazing job checking in with my kitty Maxine. Daily pictures, updates, open communication, and help with household info while I was away. Maxine seemed to love her and Emmy definitely eased my worries while I was gone. Thanks so much Emmy and I'll be happy to book you again the next time I need it!”

“Muskan did an awesome job with Indy! She worked with him a few days during a week and was on time every day and made sure he had some outside time and cuddles during the day!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sherman Oaks
Minerva was truly fantastic! As a very anxious cat mom and type A personality, I tend to leave a full detailed list of instructions when we’re away. Minerva was so kind and on top of everything! She truly made my anxiety go away. Our cat is super sweet but can also be a bit particular - she LOVED Minerva . We’re so happy we found her and will 100% use her for ALL future requests. She was so kind, on top of everything, clean, great communication, so understanding, reassuring. Just the perfect sitter while we were away.

Paris did an excellent job taking care of my cat, who is a very picky eater and slow to trust anyone. She gave me regular updates and was very patient trying new techniques to get him to eat and socialize. I came home to a very happy kitty! Overall Paris was a responsible sitter who went above and beyond to make sure my scaredy cat was well taken care of. I’d trust her to watch my pet again.

Bethany kitty sat my kitten Bianca for a five day weekend and my kitten had a blast. I got the cutest updates- I could tell from what Bethany wrote after each visit that Bianca felt really comfortable with her and got plenty of good play time. Bethany really got to see all the cute aspects of her personality. And she got so many great pics of Bianca! We met before the first day I needed cat sitting to go over where things were and to so she could meet Bianca. She’s such a nice person, very professional, I’d definitely book her again! Thank you!

All of my kitties fell in love with Vanessa. She was as attentive to the shy and aloof adult cats as she was to the playful 12-week-old foster kittens. This was something I really appreciated, as my adult cats - while not hostile - aren't exactly charming to strangers. Vanessa told me she brought her own cat from to California when she moved here. That told me she thinks of pets as true lifetime companions. She then also adopted a dog and just exudes positive vibes. I would 100% recommend her services.

First time using Rover and so nervous to leave my babies. Emma was so patient and kind with me sending her pictures and long written out instructions to make sure I didn't forget anything. She followed them all and sent me updates. I've never felt more comfortable leaving them with anyone. Thank you Emma

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sherman Oaks. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
