I grew up with dogs from infancy, and my first dog was a German Shepherd named Pooch who joined our family when I was still a baby. We grew up together, and he remained my best friend until we were both 14, when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs have been a huge part of my life ever since. At 12 years old, I started my own dog walking business and volunteered with local rescues before eventually founding my own nonprofit, Akira Animal Rescue, which focuses on medical dogs and puppies. Growing up, I also cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments — including a rescued street dog, a Pomeranian mix, and a Lhasa Apso. Having both large and small dogs throughout my life helped me understand different energy levels, personalities, and care needs from an early age. I also have extensive medical experience with dogs through both rescue work and personal experience. My senior dog Akira developed liver disease and seizures later in life, and I helped manage his care and medications until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Akira inspired my rescue work and deepened my understanding of anxious, reactive, and medically sensitive dogs. When I met him at 7 years old, he struggled with resource guarding and trust issues, but over time he transformed into a calm, loving dog who slept at our feet every night. In December 2023, we adopted two Siberian Husky littermates who are incredibly social, gentle, and loving with other dogs — especially smaller dogs. I also currently have two sweet foster dogs from my rescue who have been in my care long term. They are the only dogs from my rescue in my home — all others are with other fosters. I now provide full-time premium daycare and boarding from my home in Beverly Hills Post Office on a private, gated one-acre property. “I would give a ten star review if I could. Fantastic family, so caring and compassionate towards animals, especially my old dog, Lady. She has never been left with a sitter before. When I checked around too many places offered to keep her in a crate but she has never been crated before so we did not want that. With this family she had the run of the house and yard and slept on their bed at night which she does at home. My only fear was that at the end of her stay she would not want to leave. But she was glad to come home and during my trip I had peace of mind and no worries that she was in good hands. Highly recommend this family to take care of your dog. I will when I travel again!”

About: My love of dogs began with the Doberman and Springer Spaniel’s, I grew up with. Eight years ago, I rescued and rehabilitated the best girl and terrier mix, Lottie. Since then, we have rescued and trained a mini poodle, fostered and rehabbed two adult pups, and regularly sit and walk a Lab, German Shepard, and Dachshund. I currently work from home and for myself so I have a very flexible schedule. I have a fenced in backyard and plenty of room for pups to run, relax, or play! About: Hello! I am Kelly & I’m a HUGE animal lover. I have a pup of my own, Sandy. She’s a loving & sweet Maltipoo. I’ve had her since she was only 1 month old & she’s turning 4yrs in late September. Ever since I’ve adopted her, she’s turned my life around in the best way possible. She has made me a dog mom & I wouldn’t want it any other way. She’s very well trained & behaved which is something I’m really proud of. She’s made so many other fur friends & they have play dates very often to help socialize & exercise. These fur friends are pups that I also pup sit whenever my neighbors are out of town, have to go into work, or an emergency suddenly comes up. One of my neighbors has 3 dogs in total & my other neighbors only have 1 dog. My neighbor with 3 dogs has 1 senior pup, 1 adult pup, and 1 2yrs old pup. The senior pup does take medication so whenever I pup sit, I ensure her medication is given to her with no problem. My other neighbors with the 1 pup on the other hand, have a very energetic pup so playtime & walks are crucial. I ensure to take him on long walks around our neighborhood & give him lots of playtime with Sandy - which always ends up in nap time. Looking after them truly brings so much joy to my life & I am very thankful for their parents (my neighbors) trust in me to pup sit their fur babies. Give them as much joy and love as they give me! I have a full time job but I sadly no longer have pets so I’d love to use any free time or flex time to be around all the fur babies! About: I had the pleasure of growing up alongside the most wonderful mix of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, a rat, a chinchilla, a hedge hog, fish, chickens, ducks, horses, goats, a pigeon, quails, and even a peacock! My parents showed me the ropes of pet care long ago when they started a horse boarding stable and their own Rover pet sitting service. I joined them on many dog walks, cat visits, and pet feedings, enjoying the time we got to share with so many animals. I now own two beautiful guinea pigs named Bob and Teddy that definitely border on spoiled in their luxury pig oasis. We vacuum 3-4 times a day, wash food and water bowls after every use, and wipe down paws with baby wipes (dog-wipes on request!) after walks.

About: Hello! I am Kelly & I’m a HUGE animal lover. I have a pup of my own, Sandy. She’s a loving & sweet Maltipoo. I’ve had her since she was only 1 month old & she’s turning 4yrs in late September. About: Ever since I was little I have had love for animals. From dogs following me home from school and starting my own little pet-care “business” for family and friends as a kid. I live in an apartment near a big park where the fur babies can run and play and get some excercise. I also live near a hiking trail if your pup is a little more adventurous. I am also able to give dogs and cats medicine as well (liquid and pill form). I have experience in training my own dogs and friends dogs with basic commands (sit, stay, shake, lay down, and no) so if your little one can get fussy or is in the middle of being trained I can keep that up with them. I grew up with dogs from infancy, and my first dog was a German Shepherd named Pooch who joined our family when I was still a baby. We grew up together, and he remained my best friend until we were both 14, when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs have been a huge part of my life ever since. At 12 years old, I started my own dog walking business and volunteered with local rescues before eventually founding my own nonprofit, Akira Animal Rescue, which focuses on medical dogs and puppies. Growing up, I also cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments — including a rescued street dog, a Pomeranian mix, and a Lhasa Apso. Having both large and small dogs throughout my life helped me understand different energy levels, personalities, and care needs from an early age. My senior dog Akira developed liver disease and seizures later in life, and I helped manage his care and medications until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Our golden, Toby, always gets a walk in the morning and plays throughout the day. Access to the fenced backyard is available all day. I have a fenced front and back yard. Dogs have access to the backyard all day when we’re home, and will be encouraged to go potty before we leave to go anywhere. No unsupervised front yard time, but if we’re doing stuff, they can hang out. We can crate other dogs, but Toby does not get crated, so happy to cover the crate to reduce fomo!
