About: As a son of two veterinarians, I have had the pleasure of having a whole bunch of different animals in my care. Cumulatively, our family has been home to 9 dogs, 20+ cats, 3 birds, a tarantula, 1 pig, 3 fish, and myself (my mom says I eat like an animal). Ever since I can remember we have had animals in the house so I am always in the mood to give a good petting. In our house, we show our animals love and respect and that is what I have been brought up knowing. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, all small and fun sized! I recently graduated in June with B.S. in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am back home working as a Behavior Technician, providing therapeutic service to children with special needs. Typically, I work in the afternoon, so with a little bit of a heads up I can be with your pet basically anytime before 3! Like in my description, pets are treated with love and respect. I believe in treating an animal with the same respect as treating another person (except they usually get more petting than a person). I like to be energetic with pets as I find that most of the time that leads to both of us having a good time but I have personally had dogs that liked to "chill" more than usual and that was perfectly fine as well. I watch for changes in their appetite, energy, or behavior and let you know if something seems off. At my home, I only book pets from one household at a time, so your pet won’t be sharing the space with another client’s dog or cat. We have one entrance and are careful to keep the door closed. Shy cats can start in a quiet bedroom and come out when they feel ready. Dogs get walks and outdoor breaks based on their usual schedule. For visits in your home, I follow your instructions for caring for your pet and securing your home before I leave. I send photos and updates so you know how the visit went.
