About: What’s the most important thing all dog owners want to know before entrusting their dogs to a stranger? Well first of all I’m from Jersey. I’ll play with your dog, make sure they’re happy, take them on a walk, not lose them, and feed them only what you tell me to feed them. No human food, I promise. Unless of course that’s in your list of food to give them. Of course hydrate them as well. I know the do’s and don’ts of a dog’s diet since I have 2 of my own. I’ve also been fostering dogs on and off for the past 3 years. I am known to be reliable and responsible, so I can assure you that you can rest easy with leaving your dog(s) in my care. Or if you have a cat, I also get along super well with them since I also have 2 of my own! I work from home so I do have some flexibility or if you need eyes on your little one for long hours I will also be able to do that. I do have 2 cats so I have pet gates up to separate my cats from any dogs. The dogs get free roaming of the living room which tends to be enough for my two dogs plus any friends they’ve had over. Routine in my home is key. At your home, I’ll stick to your routine and respect your house rules. Whatever you require, it will be respected.

But when we came home after our 6 day trip it was obvious they were well cared for. There was fresh water in their bowls, the litter was clean, and there was food in their dishes. Growing up, there was always some kind of animal around: dogs, cats, fish, parakeets, and even chickens, ducks, and cows when I spent time with family in Laos. Avery was my best friend for many years and taught me so much about patience, loyalty, and unconditional love. Like most pet owners, I talked to her like she was a person, and planned parts of my day around making sure she was happy. Since losing her, I've realized how much I miss having furry kids in my life and how much I genuinely enjoy caring for them. Over the years, I've become the friend people call when they're heading out of town and need someone they trust to watch their fur babies. I've cared for: -energetic dogs who want to play nonstop, -cats that needed cuddle time and WALKS (wild, I know) -and nervous pets who just need a calm presence while their humans are away. When I care for someone's pet, I try to get to know their personality, routines, and preferences so I can give them the unique attention they deserve. That means: attention, sticking to their routine, and making sure you never have to wonder how they're doing. I grew up raising baby birds and caring for many a variety of animals (including many different breeds of cats and dogs). In addition to my own, I was hired to watch other family's animals, starting around age 8 (alongside my mom) and then independently around age 11. I love how different animal's personalities can be and think they bring so much joy to our busy lives! I understand how challenging it can be with busy lives/careers, to find trusted pet care. I also worked in a pet supply store for 2 years, so I have interacted with a wide variety of behaviors and care requirements. My schedule is currently very flexible, so I can make myself available at any time with enough notice, including periods like nights, weekends, and holidays. I will listen to instructions about a pet’s individual needs, and care for them accordingly. I understand the importance of a consistent routine, and will make sure any pets remain as comfortable as possible.

About: I don't have official Rover experience yet, but I'm a full time dog mom to my doodle, Jaxie, and before him, our beloved Roscoe, a pitbull we lost last year. I've also taken care of their cousins, Boomer (Australian Shepherd) and Jazzie (Husky/German mix), a handful of times. Different breeds, different energy levels, so I'm used to adjusting to each dog's personality and needs. I treat every pup like my own, lots of attention, patience, and love! I'm available for drop-ins and walks Monday through Sunday! Weekdays are a bit tighter since I work full time until 4pm and I'm home by 5:30, but I'm ready to play with your pups right after that. Weekends are when I have the MOST availability, pretty much all day, so those tend to be the easiest to book! I only offer walking and drop-ins for now. Safety means secure leashes, checking doors and gates, and staying alert on every visit so your pup is safe!
