“Adeline is such a gem—so sweet, caring, and passionate. She’s wonderful with my 4-year-old, AMAZING with my puppy, and my dogs cherish her as much as I do. She’s reliable, attentive, and I know I can count on her to give the best care. I’m so grateful to have found her as our weekly sitter. She’s the best!!”

“Julia is so sweet and Rocket really loves her! As an over the top dog Mom, I trust Julia 100%. She is professional, polite, responsive and you can see her love for animals. We are so happy to have Julia to come check in on Rocket!”

“I had a great experience with Anna. I was comfortable leaving my 2 dogs with her while I was traveling. She was taking good care of them, made each visit on time and kept me updated about everything.”

“I couldn't recommend Daysha enough. From the very beginning, she was very easygoing, kind, and quick to reply to messages. During her drop-in visits, she went above and beyond when caring for our puppy. She was very communicative, patient, and willing to go the extra mile. She was very respectful of our home as well. The experience was so wonderful that we almost want to gatekeep her!”

“Anica is great!! She takes amazing care of my cat when I'm gone and I trust her completely. She was so patient and kind with my skiddish cat and Stella immediately warmed up to her! I cannot recommend Anica enough!”

“Another great drop-in with Anthony. He's a very understanding and patient person and that really helps with bonding with our anxious dog. He's always on time and doesn't mind taking the time it takes to get to know a dog.”

About: Dogs have been my life since I was 7 years old — that’s over 35 years of loving, caring for, and understanding what makes every dog tick. I own three incredible pups myself: two Pitties and a Doberman mix, so I know firsthand what big, energetic, loving dogs need to thrive. What truly sets me apart is that I volunteer at my local animal shelter, where I work hands-on with all breeds — from tiny dogs to large and powerful ones. I’m comfortable and confident with every size, temperament, and energy level because I’ve seen it all. Walking dogs isn’t just a service for me — it’s something I genuinely love. Your pup will get attentive, caring walks from someone who treats every dog like their own. I’m bonded, insured, and committed to giving your furry family member the best experience possible. Dog walking and pet care fit naturally into my daily routine. I’m available seven days a week with flexible morning, midday, and afternoon time slots. Whether you need a regular weekly walker or a one-time walk, I can work around your schedule and make it happen. Your dog’s safety is my absolute top priority on every single walk. I’m bonded and insured, so you have full peace of mind from the moment I pick up the leash. I walk in safe, familiar neighborhoods and keep dogs secure and controlled at all times — I handle big, powerful breeds every week at the shelter so no dog is too much for me. I send updates, photos, and check-ins during every walk so you always know your pup is happy and safe. Your dog will be treated exactly like one of my own three.
About: I love caring for and protecting all animals; dogs, cats, other mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and/or insects. Essentially if it eats, breaths and needs maintenance, I am able to take care of it. I've had several dogs in my life, from small to large sized dogs. I have also owned a couple exotic pets that required unique needs and diets. I have no issue with cleanup or waste removal that may be needed while caring for any extended family member. Not having any other obligations other than "Rover" (besides my GF) I am able to dedicate my full attention on the services I am providing to care for the loved ones I am entrusted to. I have experience and I am able to train, if requested.
About: I am a huge animal lover and had my first dog when I was 12. Since then I had many pets including dogs, bunnies, hamsters and tortoises. We are a family of three and work from home most of the time so your pet will have constant love and attention. Our chocolate lab Bailey is a goofball and as sweet as they come. He has seizures so we are well trained in caring for animals with health conditions and can administer medications when needed. We have a 6 foot fenced yard that is fully secured and a doggy door that allows your fur baby an access to the yard at any time. We treat our pets as family and yours will be part of our family when you are away. We are working from home most days and only away for a few hours at the time. Daily walks will be provided along with playtime and lots of love. We have a fully fenced large yard with shade and lots of grass. We also have a friendly playmate dog to keep your fur baby company.

About: I’m a dedicated pet owner with experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities. I currently have a 13-year-old American Bulldog, a young French Bulldog puppy, a 6-year-old cat, and caged pets. Caring for both a senior dog and a puppy has given me experience with different energy levels, routines, training needs, and age-related care. I believe every pet is unique and deserves individualized attention. Whether your pet needs extra patience, a structured routine, medication reminders, playtime, or simply lots of affection, I take the time to learn their personality and provide care tailored to their specific needs. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. As an education professional, I’m off during the summer months and have a flexible schedule. My puppy follows a strict daily routine, so I’m already accustomed to planning my day around an animal’s needs. This makes it easy for me to provide dependable, attentive care and maintain your pet’s normal routine while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining the routine they’re familiar with. I understand that every pet has different needs based on their age, personality, energy level, and health, and I take the time to learn what works best for each individual animal. As a pet owner caring for both a senior dog and a young puppy, I have experience with the patience, consistency, and attention required at different life stages. I understand the importance of scheduled feedings, potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, training reinforcement, medication administration, and adequate rest. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions and providing regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to treat your pets with the same level of care, respect, and attention that I give my own.
“Ariana is the first sitter I have ever booked on Rover or any other similar service. She set the bar high, and I am so happy to have found her! Responsive, friendly, highly empathetic, and asked great questions. We needed assistance having eyedrops administered to a large, shy cat who does not enjoy the process at all. She suggested a strategy of making him feel comfortable and taking time to coax him out, and it worked! She even helped me in a pinch with an additional last minute drop-in request on the weekend. I would not hesitate to recommend Ariana to anyone, and I plan to use her again in the future for this cat and my other pets. Thank you, Ariana!”

“Megan did a wonderful job with my pup Monkey walking 2x a day for a full week. She sent great updates after each walk. Responsible and responds quickly- would use again! Thank you Megan!”

About: I’m twenty years old and have been taking care of my cat ever since I was ten. When my sister who is ten years older than me moved out she got two dogs and a cat, who I would care for regularly while she went out. The past two years I have been nannying for a family with two kids and four dogs, I would sometimes care for the dogs, walk them and feed them multiple times a day if the family needed to leave somewhere. I recently moved away from the area that was close to them so I am now looking for a new source of income as it is pretty difficult to find families to nanny for. If you would like to talk to her I can provide her phone number. I love animals so much and if you let me take care of them I will always make sure they don’t just eat and go on walks, but also are played with and entertained. :) I currently don’t have a job since we just moved so I am free every day except Sunday where I run all my errands and meal prep. I will update my info if I find a part time job. I have a cat at home and live with my mother, she would never allow another animal in the home sadly, but in your home I can stay with your animals and feed them, walk them, scoop litter, and of course keep them running around and playing.
About: I love to go on long walks and give consistent attention. I’ve had pets my whole life I just can’t afford one right now otherwise I would. I believe your little one with have a great time in my care. I am currently working from home and like to take breaks to go on walks for fresh air so I’d love the company. I also enjoy going to the dog park to watch the dogs play. I live in a large house and have a back yard. I have a dog bed as well as a cat box because I use to have both. I would truly love the company and enjoy just chilling on the couch or playing at the park.
About: Animals have always been an integral part of my life and have shaped me in fundamental ways as a human. I grew up in a home with six cats and two dogs in a farming area, and now I share my life with three four‑year‑old cats who are my everything. I also rescued a senior dog for hospice care and was grateful for the loving time we had together and that I could hold him as he passed. That experience has made me especially gentle and attentive with older, sensitive, or medically fragile pets. I’m calm, patient, and very detail‑oriented: I follow your routines exactly, keep food, water, and litter areas clean, and send thoughtful photo updates so you can relax while you’re away because I know how important that is with my pets. Your pets will be treated like the beloved family members they are. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I offer flexible daytime and early evening drop‑in visits around Woodland Hills, and I only accept bookings when I know I can be fully present, unhurried, and attentive with your pets. When I care for pets in your home, I follow your routines and safety instructions exactly. I keep doors and gates securely closed, double‑check leashes and harnesses, and am careful with indoor/outdoor boundaries. I move calmly and quietly so pets feel safe, keep food, water, and litter areas clean, and always tidy up before I leave. You’ll receive thoughtful updates and photos after each visit so you know how your pets are doing and can trust that your home is respected.
About: I have spent half my life learning the body language and needs of animals. I have a wide variety of animals I have cared for such as frogs, lizards, horses, pigs, goats, dogs, cats and more. I also have experience administering medication to elderly and disabled pets. I am very adaptable and patient. I currently do my own pet care at home with my two cats, however, my schedule other than that is very open and I would love to be able to help others out. For my cats I have plenty of enrichment toys and activities that we do. Depending on the pet and preference of the client, I am capable of adapting to your pets needs whatever they may be.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and currently have 6 horses, 5 ducks, 5 cats, a dog, bunnies, and a hamster. All of these animals are under my responsibility, and I help provide their daily care, including feeding, cleaning, exercise, grooming, and monitoring their health. Growing up around so many different types of animals has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand each pet’s unique needs and personality. I am a true animal lover and treat every pet as if it were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I am a full-time equestrian show Jumper and we usually go out of town about once an every other month from Wednesday to Sunday. I will know if I'm leaving out of town months in advance. It will be no surprise. I also ride horses almost every day, so I'm usually at the barn in the a.m. but can always switch times and be flexible. When caring for pets in someone else’s home, I am always respectful of both their animals and their property. I grew up understanding the importance of treating other people’s belongings with care and respect. I will follow all instructions provided, keep the home clean and secure, and make sure pets maintain their normal routines so they feel comfortable and safe. My goal is to provide dependable care while giving owners peace of mind that both their pets and home are being treated as if they were my own

About: I’ve spent lots of time around animals, and I have a dog of my own! I’m very patient because I work with kids and that transfers into this line of work well! I’m working part-time and have easy transportation which makes this a great gig for me. I’m flexible with my availability and I care about the work that I do. I have a dog named Codi who is my world and I adopted him at 4 weeks old and that taught me a lot about puppy care. I love walks with him and taking him on car rides. He loves to run around with me doing everything!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Hills
We had a great experience with Adeline as our dog sitter. She was reliable, communicative, and took excellent care of our dogs while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We came home to happy, relaxed dogs, and everything was handled exactly as expected. Highly recommend Adeline!

Anica was great! She was communicative and took really great care of our kitties while we were gone. I really felt like they were in great hands. The cats also really seemed to like her which definitely matters! I’m hoping to book Anica again for future trios this year and would recommend her to anyone else with cats.

We found Christine on Rover and were immediately impressed by her glowing reviews and experience. Since our senior dog can no longer handle the stress of a kennel, we booked Christine for 2 drop-ins a day over a long weekend. She was incredibly professional, arriving for a meet-and-greet to learn our home layout and expectations. Throughout the stay, she was perfectly on time, spent a full 30 minutes playing with our pups during each visit, and ensured they were well-fed. The frequent photo updates were a huge relief for our family. Christine has truly earned our trust and our dogs' hearts—we will definitely be booking her again!
Aubrey is amazing. She took such wonderful care of my senior kitty and took the stress away from being away from her. Sending pics and videos, making sure to address my particular concerns over kitty’s comfort. She also made sure to tidy up any mess my kitty made during the week which was a big help. Thank you for taking such great care of everything during the holiday, Aubrey!!!

I hired Natalie for a meet and greet with my dog. She was very communicative up until booking. She showed up on time and was very professional and seemed like she had a lot of experience. Her passion for animals and this kind of work is very visible. I look forward to hiring her in the near future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
