“Kayla dropped in for two days- four visits, at my home to watch my doggie while I was away. I felt complete trust and confidence in Kayla when I met her. She took loving care of my Labrador and followed the instructions I left perfectly. She updated me on all details , took amazing pics of my dog and made sure she was happy and safe on her walks and when they returned. I’m so glad we found Kayla to take care of our lab while we were away ! I hope she is able to return for future drop-in’s. I highly recommend her !”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life, having had both dogs and cats as pets from childhood. With all this experience, I am now 29 years old and I can say that I have enough experience not only of taking care of my own pets but also assisting in taking care of dogs and cats that belong to other people. I have enough practice in taking care of animals regarding giving medicine, feeding, walking, playing with them, spending quality time with them, and paying attention to them. All animals have individual temperaments and habits, which is why I always try to make them feel comfortable, happy, and loved while they are alone without their owners. Being an experienced animal lover, I pay the same attention to other people's pets as I would do with my own. I’m available for pet care every day and have a very flexible schedule. I’m free throughout the day, with the exception of Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 PM to 6:50 PM. This gives me plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. I ensure that all pets get enough love, care, and attention. I always stick to the schedule of feeding, walking, and other procedures that the owner is giving so that the pet feels comfortable and safe. In addition, I am able to administer medication when necessary and follow any additional requirements. Pets get enough water, frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of love. However, most importantly, I treat all animals as if they are mine, ensuring their safety and comfort.
“We feel so incredibly lucky to have found Sofia to take care of our senior kitty! She went way above and beyond our expectations. Coco was so well looked after and happy! We cannot thank Sofia enough!!”

About: I genuinely love walking dogs and believe that a well-exercised dog is a happier, healthier dog. Whether your pup enjoys a leisurely neighborhood stroll or a long, energetic hike, I’m happy to tailor each walk to their age, personality, and energy level. I’m in excellent physical shape and enjoy being active, so I’m comfortable with everything from short potty breaks to longer adventures that help dogs stay mentally and physically stimulated. My goal is to make every walk safe, fun, and something your dog looks forward to. I have prior experience caring for celebrity clients’ dogs, but I treat every dog like a VIP. I am also an artist who loves creating pet portraits of many of my former and current customers! After retiring from the corporate world, I’m excited to devote my time to something I’ve always loved—caring for pets. I began dog walking and pet sitting for a celebrity couple in 2002 as a side job, and now I’m making pet care my full-time focus. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available most days for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. I look forward to giving every pet the attention, exercise, and loving care they deserve. I have experience caring for pets both in clients’ homes and in my own. For about a year, I worked for a couple in the entertainment industry, providing daily care for their pets while they traveled for work. I was trusted not only with their pets, but also with the security and care of their home, including overnight, weekend, and extended stays. I understand the importance of being dependable, respectful of your home, and keeping you updated while you’re away. At home, I recently said goodbye to my beloved companion, Charlie, after nearly 13 wonderful years together. While our home doesn’t currently have pets of its own, that means I can devote my full attention and care to your pet. I prefer to care for one family’s pet(s) at a time so they receive the individualized attention, love, and companionship they deserve.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs my whole life! From raising my own Toy Fox Terrier and German Shepherd, to helping friends with both playful puppies and sweet seniors. Many families on Rover trust me again and again, and I’m grateful for the wonderful reviews I’ve received. That’s because I treat every dog like family. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their parents are away. Dogs with separation anxiety quickly relax with me, as I know how to ease their stress with play, walks, and gentle reassurance. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing your pup is in loving hands, with consistent updates, photos, and videos to keep you connected. For me, this isn’t just a job.. it’s something I genuinely love doing! I currently work part time (coach tennis) and have a very flexible schedule where I am home most of the day. Weekdays and weekends I am very available throughout the day. I blanket my couches to allow the dogs more comfortable resting places. I like to take the dogs to the nearby fenced dog park to get exercise and regularly go on walks for potty breaks and exploration. They will feel comfortable, relaxed and happy when staying with me.
“Amazing experience — our doggie loved Angela. She is super kind and caring and kept us in the loop throughout the drop in visit. I look forward to working with her again.”

About: As a certified professional dog trainer, I bring more than pet care to every visit—I bring behavior expertise. Since 2015, I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to sensitive rescue dogs. Whether your dog needs a structured walk, help building good manners, or simply compassionate care, I focus on creating positive experiences that build trust, confidence, and lasting skills. Dogs are at the center of my daily life. My schedule is built around training sessions, walks, enrichment activities, and pet care visits. Because working with dogs is my profession, I’m able to provide reliable, attentive care and make each pet’s physical and emotional well-being a priority. In clients’ homes, I maintain respect as a center point of my services. Whether we’re doing a walk, training session or drop-in, my goal is to respect your space and help your pup(s) feel comfortable and secure. Walks, play, enrichment, training reinforcement, feeding, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of affection and positive reinforcement are all part of my approach.
“Courtney was absolutely amazing. I'm a crazy dog mom & hadn't ever left my girl. She's a therapy dog & my medical service dog & she goes everywhere with me but we were going to an airshow & I was worried about her ears so I didn't want to take her. We were camping in Malibu & it was difficult to find someone because everyone was a good distance from here but Courtney was agreeable to come to our RV park. She hadn't been here before & was so great at following directions. My dog loved her, I could see from the photos how happy she was. Courtney walked her & played with her. I couldn't recommend her more highly She kept me updated, communicated well, was on time, and most importantly made my pup so happy. She sent me updates for both visits and a lot of really cute pictures. I'm a sitter here on Rover as well and am very picky but if you're looking for a great dog walker/sitter, look no further...Courtney is absolutely FANTASTIC! I can highly recommend her and I will definitely book with her again in the future when we're in the area.”

“Outstanding and reliable, with excellent communication! We have several pets (cat, tortoise, dragon, dogs, fish) and it’s good to know that we can count on Oli to perform our complicated pet routine when we’re away. Thanks!”

“Brittany is the only dog sitter so far who has been able to get my very anxious Husky to go for a walk. That speaks volumes to the kindness, patience, and love that she has for animals. I am so impressed and grateful to finally have found someone that I can trust if we have to go away. She’s the best!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who treats every pet like family — you’ll find me giving scratches, chatting with pups, and making new furry friends wherever I go. I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, turtles and more) and have hands-on experience raising and training XXL breeds including Cane Corso and Great Pyrenees, as well as few velcro pittie mixes. I’ve rescued and fostered large breeds and have regularly pet-sat for dozens of friends and family, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. I have post-surgical care and recovery experience with extensive TPLO experience: recovery area setup/design, PT routines, non-weight-bearing potty breaks, enrichment, medication administration, wound/bandage care, and handling special-needs or anxious dogs. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I’m excited to meet your pup and provide an infinite amount of pets and belly rubs! I work remotely, part-time which makes me flexible and available to stick to your pet’s routine—walks, meals, meds, and playtime—and provide reliable, consistent care throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I prefer caring for pets in their own home so I can follow their familiar routine and accommodate their quirks and comforts. Before our first booking I’ll do a pre-visit and send a short questionnaire to capture feeding, walking, medication, crate/bed preferences, emergency contacts, and any behavioral notes. I’ll follow your instructions to a T, keep your pet and home secure, maintain feeding and potty schedules, provide enrichment and exercise. Additionally, I'll send regular photo/text updates so you mind can be at ease knowing they are well cared for while you’re away.

“We just recently moved to Malibu and we are beyond thrilled to have found Susan. Not only is she super friendly and prompt with her responses, she's also wonderful with Blu our Great Dane! As an added bonus she takes incredible photos. You are the best Susan!”

About: I'm a sensitive, caring responsible individual who loves to play with dogs and with whom dogs love to play. I've worked at the Glendale, CA Humane Society Shelter walking dogs and really enjoyed the experience. I've owned dogs for a good part of my life. However, I recently had to put Taffy, my last dog, to sleep. She was 16 and not doing well. It was heart wrenching and I thought perhaps that rather getting another, I could give the love I have for dogs to others, without having the ultimate burden of ownership. I live in Agoura Hills, CA. There lots of room for dogs to walk and play, lots of trees and grass for dogs to sniff and explore. There are also lots of other dogs in the community and opportunities for dogs to socialize, if the owners and the dogs want. I have a fenced yard and I work from home. I have a flexible schedule. Consequently, I can adapt my schedule to your dog's schedule. I have a fenced yard and I have no other dogs. Even though the house is on two levels, it's easy for dogs to navigate.
About: Hello fellow dog lover! I work from home with flexible hours, solo household, no children. I love love love dogs and think they’re special little gifts! Yours will have the most wonderful single-pet staycation, be safe, sweetly cared for, played with, and walked. I love walks, rain or shine, but if your pup is not a fan or is a senior, we can Netflix & chill instead ;). I typically board one family’s pets at a time so they get my full attention and it’s more like home. I previously fostered over 30 dogs large & small for a SoCal rescue (not all at once ;). Many needed special or medical care. Currently no dogs of my own, but I did raise the sweetest girl for 16 years who was on the news for being the oldest of her breed. She was a soulful character. I look forward to meeting yours! Available 7 days a week and most holidays. Same-day walking requests are also welcome. I work from home with flexible hours, and can keep your fur friends comfy, healthy and happy! I’ll be sure to send you daily updates with adorable photos :). I live in a safe gated townhome, lots of grassy and shaded sidewalk areas within, as well as hiking trails adjacent! My home and personality are chill. But I love outdoor adventure, and hiking if your dog is up for that too. Your pet is welcome on my couch for extra snuggles but I adhere to the same house rules you’ve trained them to follow. I provide feeding & water bowls. Please bring their harness, leash, and usual food so we keep their tummy happy. Anything else you think will make their stay better is welcome.
About: I love dogs and have had dogs all of my live, and had taken care of them when they were puppies, so potty training, playing and keeping and eye on them, and also when they were sick and old, so giving extra attention to their wellbeing. Pets are family members that need to be cared for, treated with respect, as well as provide them with some fun play time. I’m currently working part time so I have time to spend with your pet during week days and can provide visits twice a day in case that is needed. I would keep them on their leash whenever we are outside, always keep the door closed to avoid them running away and follow the house rules.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
