About: I have had a pet dog or cat ever since I was born. I have had experience with pets at a variety of ages, including very young, and super seniors, such as 20. Depending on the times that you may need sitting, I am available to come early in the morning, feed to your specifications, and do a variety of other pet caring chores. If your pet requires lots of play to get energy out, that is something I more more than happy to do. I have helped care for a variety of age groups and energies. Theres a big difference in the work required for an active puppy, and an aging friend.
“Zack was absolutely amazing with my two dogs while I was away for a few days. My German Shepherd mix isn’t the easiest dog to care for, but Zack went above and beyond to make sure both of my dogs were happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. He’s responsible, trustworthy, and always on time. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dogs were in such great hands. I came home to two happy, relaxed pups, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Zack to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, and I will definitely be booking him again in the future!”
“There’s not enough nice things to say about Trisha. She was so good to our dog. Gave her much needed love and attention. It’s not easy leaving your pets behind but when you can count on people like her to love on yours it makes it a lot easier! Highly recommend!!”

“Kayla dropped in for two days- four visits, at my home to watch my doggie while I was away. I felt complete trust and confidence in Kayla when I met her. She took loving care of my Labrador and followed the instructions I left perfectly. She updated me on all details , took amazing pics of my dog and made sure she was happy and safe on her walks and when they returned. I’m so glad we found Kayla to take care of our lab while we were away ! I hope she is able to return for future drop-in’s. I highly recommend her !”

“I was so nervous to leave my 17 year old cat alone for the first time in his life but Brittany took the BEST care of him. She took so many pics and videos of him and I could tell how much he loved her. He would meow more greeting her than us even haha I couldn’t recommend Brittany enough she is amazing, reliable, and so trustworthy. She was so affectionate towards my cat and he needs his rubs and butt pats like he needs food. She even saved my mom’s car from being towed from a spot in our neighborhood which was above and beyond! I will definitely be booking with her anytime we need a sitter again in the future!”

“AMAZING! I needed help for my aunt who had broken her leg. Heidi was amazing. She went over and above the call of duty. She did so much more than walk my aunt's dog. Best experience ever!”

“This was our second time having Lara watch our cat and we will continue to use her when we go out of town. She’s great with our cat. She’s communicative and sends lots of photos. Highly recommend Lara!”

“Amazing experience — our doggie loved Angela. She is super kind and caring and kept us in the loop throughout the drop in visit. I look forward to working with her again.”

“This was our first time using Rover and it was a wonderful experience. Zoe left us Rover card messages and photos of Bentley each time she visited the home. Zoe thank you for making this a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to have you back. (We will hide Bentleys blanket 😉)”

“Cathleen is an outstanding Petsitter! She is a kind and gentle person who truly loves dogs and understands them. She takes each visit seriously and gives her best to our dog and home. She is flexible and also professional. She takes my requests openly and works hard to fulfill the tasks I ask her to do for my dog. I’m so grateful to have found Cathleen on Rover and am happy to have a go-to Petsitter when I need her.”

About: The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. Dogs can be your closest friend so they ought to be cared for and treated like a great one. What I bring to the table is a genuine love for all dogs and an understanding of their needs. I can be fairly flexible on weekdays for visits and walks, but am mostly available only in the afternoon. Weekends, I am pretty much always available. House sits I can do any day of the week. To start off, I always start off by caring for the pet as outlined by the owner (routines, feeding schedules, medications, things to avoid, walks). But in addition to that, I like to have some fun with the dogs that I sit. I will play with them a bit and in general just hang out with them.

I care for all pets as if they were my own, I fall in love with every pet I meet, and do everything to make them happy and comfortable <3 I will send you photos and videos of your pet!

Super appreciate Brittany, she steps in to save the day when other sitters cancel last minute, she communicates every step of the way even when not hearing from me, sticks around to see that my avoidant cats get a little attention, and just really cares. Thanks again Brittany!

Kendall is absolutely awesome! From the amazing meet and greet to the special care he gave both of my ragdoll‘s Raja and Bleu while I was out of town was top-notch. I never had to worry his communication was thorough and I truly appreciated it. My girls were safe and I definitely will use Kendall for my next out of town trip. Thank you so much.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
