Allison was communicative throughout our experience working with her, and most importantly, she was a really attentive and nurturing caretaker for our cat, Iris. She closely followed all our instructions, was very responsive to feedback, and made sure Iris had everything she could need or want. We’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable & super caring pet sitter! Thank you, Allison, for taking good care of our kitty 😊🩷

Emily did a fantastic job with our 9 year old Golden Retriever. Emily was super friendly, kind and loving with our dog. She did a great job of taking care of our dog and interpreting her many moods. When we returned from our trip, our dog was happy to see us, but not anxious in anyway. We know she felt very loved and cared for during our time away. We enjoyed getting the "Rover Report Card" from Emily after each of her visits and loved that they always included pictures. We will definitely use Emily again in the future.

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for years, and being a dog mom myself has taught me how much love, patience, attention, and responsibility goes into caring for a pet. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s individual routine and personality. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, medication routines, and keeping your pup comfortable while you’re away. My goal is for every dog in my care to feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be home and available throughout the day. I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m especially happy to accommodate your dog’s normal routine and make sure they receive the same consistency and care they’re used to at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I treat every dog like they are part of my own family and understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby. I provide a loving, calm, supervised environment and will follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, routines, and any special needs\. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is happy, safe, and being well cared for.

About: I have two large-breed dogs of my own who I love to the moon and back, so I understand just how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I’ve taken obedience training classes with my own dogs, and one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that dog training is just as much about teaching the owner as it is the dog! Those experiences have taught me patience, consistency, how to read a dog’s behavior, and how important it is to understand each dog’s individual personality and needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, including large, strong, and high energy breeds. I also grew up around cats and have plenty of experience caring for them through my family. What sets me apart is that I’ll treat your pets the way I would want someone to treat mine, with genuine love, patience, attention, and respect for their normal routine. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care, so I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re being cared for by someone who truly loves animals. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to make pet care a priority throughout my day. As a dog owner myself, walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and plenty of attention are already a natural part of my daily routine. I’m available for weekday and weekend care and can be flexible with timing depending on you and your pet’s needs. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal schedule to help keep their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. Safety and trust are extremely important to me when caring for someone else’s pet. I always follow the owner’s instructions and try to keep each pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while in my care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of both their space and their pet’s boundaries. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and harnesses are secure, stay aware of our surroundings on walks, and never put a pet in an environment or situation that makes them uncomfortable. Having two large dogs of my own has also made me very comfortable handling bigger, stronger, and higher energy dogs. I also believe communication is a huge part of building trust. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and getting plenty of love and attention while you’re away.

About: Hi, I’m Christian, and I’ve been pet sitting for over five years. I truly love caring for animals and am proud to have five repeat clients who trust me with their pets and homes. I care for dogs, cats, fish, and other household pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets, including those that require medication. I offer both drop-in visits (15 minutes) and overnight stays, including feeding, fresh water, dog walks, playtime, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, and plenty of love and attention. I’m also happy to help with basic household tasks while you’re away, such as bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out the trash, and keeping an eye on your home. For added peace of mind, I’m certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. My goal is to make sure your pets are happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away, so you can travel with confidence. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available for 15-minute drop-in visits in the early morning, afternoon, and evening. Whether your pet needs a potty break, feeding, medication, playtime, or a quick check-in, I’m happy to provide reliable care throughout the day. I believe the foundation of great care is trust, safety, and communication. My goal is to create a calm, comfortable, and positive environment where pets feel secure and owners have complete peace of mind while they’re away. Every pet has unique needs and routines, and I take the time to provide personalized care, patience, and attention to ensure they feel happy, safe, and loved. You can count on me to be reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to treating your pets as if they were my own.

David did a terrific job of feeding and walking our two dogs! He was especially great at communication. I appreciated that he took notes during our meet and greet, also, which enabled confidence. He was considerate when we had a few changes and his priority was, as it should be, the well-being of the dogs.

About: Because of my career in the field of applied behavior analysis, I have a deep understanding of pet behavior. I am great at learning new skills and approaches. I find that this helps me tailor my skillset for each furry friend entrusted to my care. I work remotely and my schedule is pretty flexible so I can care for my dog and yours. This flexibility allows me to consider pet care easily in my schedule. I have a fenced yard for sun bathing. I understand that having your doggy’s best friend gone is stressful enough so I understand the importance to abide by your personal routines and particular tasks that may sound silly to someone else.

About: I have been taking care of a variety of dogs over the last ten years. I have been able to give love to puppies, animals in their last months of life, and even three legged friends. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, hikes, playing fetch, and interactive enrichment games. My schedule as a substitute teacher gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the week. I typically work anywhere from 2-4 days Monday-Friday, usually from around 8 AM–3 PM, so I have plenty of availability before and after school, as well as on days when I’m not teaching. I love being active, spending time outdoors, and being around animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to fitting into my routine. Whether it’s a walk, time to play, a drop-in visit, or house sitting, I’m happy to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need! I always start by learning each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs. Most importantly though, I follow the owner’s instructions closely. My goal is to make the pet feel like nothing has changed, even though their owner is away. For walks and drop-in visits, I enjoy getting to know each pet and finding fun ways to keep them happy and engaged. Depending on their personality and energy level, that might include going for a walk, playing fetch, trying interactive games, spending time outside, or simply giving them plenty of attention and affection. I like offering more than one way for pets to get their energy out while also making sure they have everything they need before I leave. For house sitting, I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, walking, play, and bedtime routines while keeping them company and making sure the home stays clean and secure. Since every pet is different, I’m always happy to adjust my care to their individual temperament, preferences, and needs.

About: I grew up on a farm! I love all animals and can even take care of livestock, horses, etc. I currently have 3 high needs dogs! I can administer medications, injections, and am very sensitive with high needs care and breeds. I am also very experienced with high anxiety animals and can adapt to your pets needs. If your pet has a special need, please don’t hesitate to talk to me about it! I do require a meet and greet prior to visits! As a dog owner myself I am very used to standard routines! Feeding, walking, playtime and rest. I have ample time on my days off from being a hairstylist and would love to fill my time playing with your pets! I can only care for your pet in and around your home! During the time I am with your pet, I will make sure they feel loved, have a full belly, and are all tired out for when you get home! I have a very gentle and sweet approach with animals.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
