“Brittany is amazing. I needed her to watch after my cats while I was getting married and she went above and beyond. She fed them treats for me, scooped their litter box and gave them a lot of love and company. I received a detailed summary of how they were doing and she sent me some of the cutest pictures of them! I had no worries or stress being away from my babies during my wedding. Thanks Brittany! :) 10/10”

“My rescue dog struggles with trusting people and when I contacted Emily about it she was so nice and gentle about her approach to meeting Shae. Ever since the meet and greet she was patient and loving and my dog ended up warming up to her in just a couple of visits. It is really hard to find someone who is truly caring and understanding of fearful dogs. She was also very accommodating to our needs, Thank you, Emily!”

“Stephanie was very reliable. Our dog Hercules was in good spirits when we returned unlike when we have kept him in a kennel. We felt relieved knowing our dog was well cared for. I would highly recommend Stephanie and will use her services again!”

“Heather is absolutely great with cats. She did a great job taking care of Boris. I left for 5 days, and he wasn't at all stressed out when I got home. Heather is great at communication. I would definitely book her again.”
About: I love animals I've taken good care of all that I've been with, feed, water, walking, playing, & pooper scooper. The past 3 years I've been house setting, providing care & security. I'm retired and doing this as a way to stay active. I can help you out with your pets, so you can enjoy your time. Just give me your pets routine and what's required and I will be happy to take care of them the way you would like it
About: What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and personalized care for every pet. I have experience with puppy training, senior pet care, and administering medications. I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and at home — whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or special attention for their unique needs I'm able to give pets plenty of attention, regular and multiple potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. Having a flexible schedule means your pet will never be left alone for long, and they'll always feel cared for and comfortable. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family! I provide a safe, comfortable environment with lots of love, playtime, and attention. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions.
About: I have a lot of experience pet sitting, I’ve done it for neighbors as a kid and multiple times for extended periods for friends while I was in the Air Force. I have no pets currently but I’ve lived in multiple houses with both cats and dogs and am experienced in caring for both. I’m currently taking a break from school for summer, and am only planning to do self-scheduled work, so until the end of June I can freely plan my schedule around any pet care needs. My main goal would to be to get detailed information prior to the care of your pets’ specific schedule and needs. I’ll follow any specific instructions given to the letter. Otherwise, I’d ensure they get daily walks and activity.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of patience, attentiveness, and genuine care I bring to every pet I watch. I take the time to understand each animal’s routine and specific needs so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.I’m reliable, communicative, and always keep owners updated, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I plan my schedule to make sure I can give each pet consistent, focused attention. I am available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and on Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. These morning and early afternoon hours are perfect for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, check-ins, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I prioritize being punctual and dependable, so you can count on me to be there when your pet needs care. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow feeding schedules carefully, provide fresh water, take them on walks, clean up after them, and spend quality time playing or simply keeping them company. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure, and I always send updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away. If caring for pets in my own home, I create a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable. I maintain consistent feeding and potty schedules, provide supervised playtime, and give them plenty of attention and affection. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs whether that means extra exercise, basic training reinforcement, or gentle care for senior pets so they feel at home and well cared for at all times.
“David was excellent! For our first meeting, he showed up on time with a notebook and asked questions and took notes. I felt comfortable leaving my dog in his care. While I was gone, he updated me and let me know how Ives was doing.. I will absolutely call on David again!”

“This was our first experience with hiring a cat drop-in sitter. Ashley was dependable and personable, with tons of cat experience. We hit the jackpot! She kept us informed about our kitty children with texts and pictures. She went beyond the call of duty to help us out with an unexpected pest problem. It was great piece of mind knowing she was checking in on our felines.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience in dog sitting and care. From energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs, I’ve cared for pups of all ages and needs. I’m especially experienced with senior dogs and those requiring special attention, including medication administration (oral, topical, and injected). Whether your dog needs a calm environment, a strict medication schedule, or just extra love and patience, I’ve got it covered. I understand how important it is to feel at ease when someone else is caring for your furry family member — and I always treat pets like they’re my own. Let me know how I can make your dog’s time away from you as safe, comfortable, and happy as possible! 🐾🐾❤️❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to devote quality time to the pets I care for. I make sure each day includes time for play, walks, feeding, and lots of love and attention. Whether it’s a midday walk, some afternoon playtime, or an evening cuddle session, I enjoy incorporating pet care into my day. Their happiness and well-being are a top priority for me, and I treat every pet like my own! I provide a trustworthy, caring environment where your furry friend will feel right at home. With a strong focus on safety—whether it’s secure spaces, close supervision, or following your pet’s routine—you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. About: I’ve always grown up with dogs and currently have a high-energy dog who I’ve had since he was 4 months from the shelter. Outside of rover, I work as a pet bather for mainly dogs I am home full-time on days that I do pet sit. I also have other family members (16 and older) who will be home too so your pet will never be left alone while staying at the house. I have a fenced in yard with a tall wooden gate. I will also be outside with them every time that they are outside to watch and play with them :) I have an extra, large dog bed if your dog enjoys/prefers sleeping by themselves. They are also welcome to sleep on my bed, or can sleep crated if they/you prefer.

About: When I was 12 years old, I had 12 pets and took care of them all. These included birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, cats and dogs. I started out my day by walking the dog. In 2006 I had my own dog walking service and walked golden retrievers, labs and shepherds. Now I walk my daughter’s Whippin. I love to care for senior pets and even had experience with my 20year old cat who needed fluid injections every few days. I teach piano and voice five days a week between 3pm and 7 pm. I would have 3 hours to spend with your pet in the morning and 2 hours at night. This will include feeding and or walking outdoors in nature, spending cuddle time and also playtime. I follow directions from the owner to the letter and don’t hesitate to call or text if a question comes up. I make sure the home looks like it did when I arrived and that the food bowls are cleaned. Naturally I play with, feed and/or walk, then cuddle and brush.
About: I've had animals in my life since I was little. I connect well with them. Care is a top priority, detail oriented, focused and loving. My dog was a shelter pup and was fearful when I first got him. With love and attention, he's grown into a sweet, wonderful dog. His breed makes him nervous and sounds scare him but he's ready to be a lovebug at any time. I don't have reviews yet, but please give me a chance so I can! I work my own hours during the week PT-FT, depending on the dates. I'm off weekends. I can work with you. Hard worker. Detail oriented. Compassionate. I can follow directions based on your needs. I prefer to care for your pet in your home, where they feel safe. Trust / Safety are vital.
About: I’ve had experience taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family for many years. I am very open to doing anything your pet needs (ex. walking, feeding, playing, potty breaks, medicine etc.) During the months of mid August until early June, I work Monday-Friday all day, but I get occasional vacations. I will be mostly available during weekends or between early June and mid August for summer. I am also willing to work around my work schedule if you are flexible. When caring for pets, I am dependable and willing to follow directions. You can count on me for feeding, walking, playtime, medications and any other pet needs.
About: I have been caring for dogs since a young age, regularly helping friends and neighbors with pet sitting and dog walking. I also gained experience working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in Sacramento, where I provided reliable, attentive care for approximately one year. After relocating to Los Angeles to continue my college education, I brought that same dedication and passion for animal care with me. I am currently studying to become a certified personal trainer, so I have plenty of free time to check in for a potty break or to take your pup on a nice long walk. I am free during the week after 10am and can be available for most weekends. I always want to make sure that the pet feels the most comfortable in their own home. Whether they are excited to see me or may be more hesitant, I always stay patient and meet them where they are at.

About: I’ve always had at least two dogs in the house, and have always loved caring for cats! I have plenty of experience taking care of horses and chickens, and I’m no stranger to taking care of many pets at one time, for example, 3 large dogs, 3 cats and 3 horses at the same time! I have a super open availability this summer, with more than enough time for late nights, early mornings, and overnight work! I have reliable transportation and a super free schedule to care for furry friends! I live in a condo with two elderly chihuahuas (almost 15 years old!) named Glory and Hero, as well as a super loving mutt rescue named Mysti! I love going for long walks with Mysti, and taking my chihuahuas for nice short walks as they get older. Making sure Mysti gets the proper exercise and attention is super important as she is a medium sized dog in a condo, as well as accommodating my older dogs as they age.

Neda was Awesome! She understood the fact that our dog is an outdoor dog and did not try to do something different than we asked. She was always in contact with us and took pictures and asked questions when needed. Definitely would recommend her for your pet sitting!

This was our first experience with hiring a cat drop-in sitter. Ashley was dependable and personable, with tons of cat experience. We hit the jackpot! She kept us informed about our kitty children with texts and pictures. She went beyond the call of duty to help us out with an unexpected pest problem. Katie was great! I was able to relax and enjoy my trip without stressing at all. The first few days I checked a lot with my ring camera and fussed over the check-in cards. It wasn’t long before I was not thinking about it at all I knew things were taken care of and if there was any issue Katie would reach out to me. I knew for sure when on the second morning I saw my dog wagging her tail and excited to go on her morning walk with basically a stranger. I will definitely be using her again.
Amarie had experience with her elderly dog and that helped take care of my almost 19 year old Sparkie. She understood directions well. I felt comfortable leaving Sparkie with her. I missed her when she cancelled appointments due to a family emergency. Luckily, my neighbors came around to help.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moorpark. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
