Perry is a professional. He made sure he got all the instructions and most importantly took the time to understand what type of care my dogs needed. I liked his approach; which can be perceived as a simple task but you're entrusting your house and dear pets. I'll definitely book again. Thanks a bunch Perry!

This is my first time using the app and I was a little nervous having someone that I don’t know come and walk my dog for me. When I reached out to Ekaterina and Luben they were quick to respond and schedule with me. My dog loves them! Which says a lot because he’s definitely a grumpy old man. I definitely recommend Ekaterina and Luben if you are trying to find some help. They’re awesome!

If you want your dog well cared for, Brittany is the one to hire. Brittany insured my Boots was safe. She took extra precautions during the heat to walk Boots in shade and insure adequate hydration. Mostly I appreciated that Brittany was very responsible. She is very genuine in her love of animals. Communication with me was excellent. I have used Rover for a number of dog walkers...she is among the best of the best.

About: When I was 12 years old, I had 12 pets and took care of them all. These included birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, cats and dogs. I started out my day by walking the dog. In 2006 I had my own dog walking service and walked golden retrievers, labs and shepherds. Now I walk my daughter’s Whippin. I love to care for senior pets and even had experience with my 20year old cat who needed fluid injections every few days. I teach piano and voice five days a week between 3pm and 7 pm. I would have 3 hours to spend with your pet in the morning and 2 hours at night. This will include feeding and or walking outdoors in nature, spending cuddle time and also playtime. I follow directions from the owner to the letter and don’t hesitate to call or text if a question comes up. I make sure the home looks like it did when I arrived and that the food bowls are cleaned. Naturally I play with, feed and/or walk, then cuddle and brush.

About: Hi! I'm Gabby, a recent CSU Channel Islands graduate with a B. A. in Psychology. I'll be starting my Master's in Counseling Psychology (MFT emphasis) at California Lutheran University this fall. I'm currently looking for part-time dog walking, dog boarding, and drop-in visits that work well with my graduate school schedule. I've loved animals my whole life and began volunteering with Ventura County Animal Services as soon as I turned 18, where I volunteered for about three years. I also started pet sitting in 2019 and have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight house and pet sitting, and boarding dogs in my home. I have two female Labradoodles and two cats, so any dogs staying in my home must be friendly with both dogs and cats. I'm comfortable caring for pets overnight and always strive to make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away! Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule while I’m in graduate school, so I’m available for daytime and overnight boarding any day of the week, as well as dog walking and drop-in visits. Since I have pets of my own, caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life, and I enjoy making sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and love they need while their owners are away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My two Labradoodles are indoor dogs, but they have access to a large, securely fenced yard where I let them out throughout the day to run, play, and get plenty of exercise. I don’t have a doggie door because my two cats are indoor-only, so all outdoor time is supervised. My dogs are very friendly and love meeting new dog friends, and my cats are comfortable around dogs, so I only board pets that are friendly with both dogs and cats. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. At night, my pets have their own comfortable sleeping routines. My older Labradoodle sleeps with my parents, and my younger Labradoodle sleeps with me. Any dog boarding in my home is welcome to sleep in my room if that helps them feel more comfortable, or I’m happy to follow whatever routine works best for them and their owner, such as sleeping in a crate or their own designated sleeping space.

We LOVE Randi!!! She takes great care of Ruda, even taking her to play at her house with her dogs before it after her walk, if I want. But she always walks her, which she needs for exercise, not just babysits. We couldn't be happier. She is walking her twice a week. I wish I'd found her sooner!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of patience, attentiveness, and genuine care I bring to every pet I watch. I take the time to understand each animal’s routine and specific needs so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.I’m reliable, communicative, and always keep owners updated, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I plan my schedule to make sure I can give each pet consistent, focused attention. I am available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and on Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. These morning and early afternoon hours are perfect for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, check-ins, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I prioritize being punctual and dependable, so you can count on me to be there when your pet needs care. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow feeding schedules carefully, provide fresh water, take them on walks, clean up after them, and spend quality time playing or simply keeping them company. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure, and I always send updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away. If caring for pets in my own home, I create a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable. I maintain consistent feeding and potty schedules, provide supervised playtime, and give them plenty of attention and affection. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs whether that means extra exercise, basic training reinforcement, or gentle care for senior pets so they feel at home and well cared for at all times.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Moorpark. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
