“Jesse did a phenomenal job taking care of my dog Sirius when I was gone! He went above and beyond and kept me up to date the entire time. I am very thankful for Jesse and will be using him every time I have to go out of town. Jesse is a great person with a huge heart. Your pets couldn’t be in better hands!”

“Julia was wonderful. She was always on time and spent quality time with our corgi, taking him on his morning and evening walks. We’ll use her again and recommend anyone in the Agora Hills area consider hiring her.”

About: Grew up taking care of our family’s two dogs and currently have a senior/special needs rescued ShihPoo, named Maggi, who is my world! I’ve stayed over night as a house/dog/cat sitter for 6 days at a time while taking care of 4 dogs and one cat! I’ve dog sat for roommates, family friends, and family in the past. I absolutely LOVE dogs and have a running joke in my family that I am the “dog whisperer” who can make dogs appear anywhere (like the store, airport, etc.). I am earning my doctorate at CLU, so working to help pay for classes :) *Availability is updated through the end of August 2026!* Mostly weekend availability, with some opportunities for drop-ins/walks sprinkled throughout the week. I am working around classes at CLU, but am very flexible with timing otherwise :) I have wood flooring all over the apartment and have a senior rescue with some potty troubles, so if your little one has an accident, no biggie! I’ve got lots of green throughout our complex and am able to walk on sidewalks with no vehicles nearby for lots of safety :)
“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our little guy during his walk! 😍 He may look like a big boy on the outside, but he’s actually very timid on the inside—and we are so grateful that you approached building a connection with him with such gentle sensitivity. 🙏🏻 Next time, we’ll definitely come straight back to you! 😉”

“This was our first time ever using a dog walker on Rover. Courtney went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving our fur baby with her. She is very responsive, and also provided us updates with pictures. We will definitively will use Courtney again.”

“Angela was great. She asked for a meet and greet prior to the walk, a thoughtful gesture. She is a good communicator and on time. Pepe (our pup) loved her, and we could tell she has plenty of experience with animals. We knew our pup would be in good hands. She showed up on time for his 1 hour walk. Sent a couple photos, and promptly updated us after the walk. We would definitely use Angela again, don’t hesitate to book with her!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting and dog watching for several years and have had the opportunity to care for many wonderful dogs, including several families who trust me with their pets year after year. I love spending time with dogs, whether that means going on walks, playing, or simply relaxing together and keeping them company. Since I can’t have a dog of my own right now, dog sitting is a fun and rewarding way for me to get my dog fix while helping pet owners feel confident that their furry family members are being well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I’m an elementary school teacher, so I have summers off and extra flexibility in my schedule during those months. Rover is a fun way for me to stay active, spend time with animals, and earn a little extra income while school is out. Since I can’t have a dog of my own right now, I love getting my dog fix by caring for and spending time with other people’s pets! Your dog will be cared for in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment where they’ll have plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. Since I have a flexible schedule, I can provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. I also live with my partner, who loves dogs and enjoys spending time with them, so your pup will have plenty of companionship and care while staying with us. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy, and right at home.

About: I'm a sensitive, caring responsible individual who loves to play with dogs and with whom dogs love to play. I've worked at the Glendale, CA Humane Society Shelter walking dogs and really enjoyed the experience. I've owned dogs for a good part of my life. However, I recently had to put Taffy, my last dog, to sleep. She was 16 and not doing well. It was heart wrenching and I thought perhaps that rather getting another, I could give the love I have for dogs to others, without having the ultimate burden of ownership. I live in Agoura Hills, CA. There lots of room for dogs to walk and play, lots of trees and grass for dogs to sniff and explore. There are also lots of other dogs in the community and opportunities for dogs to socialize, if the owners and the dogs want. I have a fenced yard and I work from home. I have a flexible schedule. Consequently, I can adapt my schedule to your dog's schedule. I have a fenced yard and I have no other dogs. Even though the house is on two levels, it's easy for dogs to navigate.

I also live in a beautiful complex that is pet friendly with lots of outdoor grassy nature areas, and a big park to walk to and play in just three blocks away from me. I can crate your pet too if needed.

About: Hi there! My name is Sabrina, I’m 21 years old and currently a full-time college student. I’m a calm, gentle, and reliable person who truly enjoys spending time with animals. I’m naturally quiet and attentive, and I try to make pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I also understand how important it is for owners to feel at ease, so I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, or videos and stay easy to reach by text. I take being trustworthy and respectful of people’s homes seriously, and I always do my best to create a calm, caring environment for every pet I look after. I always do my best to adapt to each pet and owner’s routine so things stay as familiar and consistent as possible while you are away, helping pets feel comfortable and reducing stress or anxiety. I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for many different kinds, including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, chickens, and other small animals. Because of that, I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to older pets who may need a little extra patience and gentleness. I have experience with walking, feeding, and everyday care, and I enjoy giving animals the attention and companionship they’re used to while their owners are away. I’ve also spent time around farm animals, so I’m comfortable helping with a variety of routines and animal needs. During the summer, I’ll have a lot of availability and will be dedicating most of my time to pet sitting. While caring for pets, I may occasionally need to step out for errands or other commitments (like other pet sitting clients for drop-ins or dog walking). Because of this, pets should generally be comfortable being alone for up to about 6 hours during the day. Sometimes this time may be shorter or split into a few outings, but in some cases it may be closer to the full 6 hours at once. If you would prefer for me to be present with your pet for longer periods of time, I’m always happy to discuss that and accommodate when possible. Additional requested time beyond the standard schedule can be arranged for $20 per extra hour. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your pets as happy as possible! I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses, and 3 chickens of my own, so I know the nervous feelings that can come with leaving your fur babies alone for a few days. Because of that, I make it a priority to stay very communicative while you’re away. I’m happy to send plenty of updates, photos, and videos so you can see how your pets are doing and feel reassured that they’re happy and well cared for. I’m also very responsive to messages and attentive to each pet’s well-being, making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re gone. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as you left it so you can return home with complete peace of mind.
About: I am a teacher on summer break looking for a side gig. I have had animals my whole life including the 2 cats I own on my own now for the past 5 years. A few years ago my mom got a puppy who I spend most of my days walking and playing with. I love to be outdoors and love animals even more, so thought why not offer up my skills! I am currently a teacher on summer and available most days of the week! I am looking to walk your dog in the morning and or afternoon! I keep my pets safe in my house because they are indoor cats I make sure they can’t get anything that would make them sick and that all doors are closed at all times. I am a very overprotective cat mom, so I can ensure that I will make sure to follow all of the things you need me to do to make sure your animals are safe! As mentioned above I’m also a teacher and great at following directions and paying close attention to detail!
About: I’d love the chance to care for your pup! I’m a big animal lover and know how important it is for dogs to feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just extra belly rubs, I’ll make sure your dog gets the attention they deserve. You can count on me to treat your furry friend like family! Being a florist means I have a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to care for dogs in between designing arrangements and setting up events. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime, I can easily fit dog sitting into my day. I love the balance it brings—flowers and furry friends both brighten my life! Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable by sticking to their routine and giving them plenty of attention and care.
“Josh was great and my dog loved him (70 lb Pit Mix)! Great communication, on-time, and very attentive to the notes provided. Josh provided detailed feedback on the walks. Will definitely use Josh again and would recommend him to everyone.”

About: I love dogs and have had dogs all of my live, and had taken care of them when they were puppies, so potty training, playing and keeping and eye on them, and also when they were sick and old, so giving extra attention to their wellbeing. Pets are family members that need to be cared for, treated with respect, as well as provide them with some fun play time. I’m currently working part time so I have time to spend with your pet during week days and can provide visits twice a day in case that is needed. I would keep them on their leash whenever we are outside, always keep the door closed to avoid them running away and follow the house rules.

“Dodi was wonderful. She kept us apprised of our dogs’ activities throughout the day, and went above and beyond what we had expected. When she came over to introduce herself to our “girls”, it was obvious that Dodi is a dog person. We would definitely use her again. Thank you, Dodi, for giving us the peace of mind that our girls were well cared for while we were away. Lauren, Ron, Maddie and Maggie”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
