“Perry was great with our dog! We had just rescued him a few days prior and were worried about leaving him alone the entire day. Brutus is a big dog and has no leash manners yet. Perry was able to take him out on the leash with no problems as well as give him some play time in the yard. It was so cool seeing the updates and pictures from the walks. We will definitely be using Perry again.”

“This was the second time I had Sierra review my dog, Bodhi. She was on time, came on short notice, and sent a pic of my dog chilling on his blanket. Very happy with her service and would recommend her to anyone.”

“Julia was wonderful. She was always on time and spent quality time with our corgi, taking him on his morning and evening walks. We’ll use her again and recommend anyone in the Agora Hills area consider hiring her.”

About: I have been a pet owner my entire life. I've jokingly called myself a "cat whisperer" and pride myself in connecting with kitties of all ages. I will care for your furry friend like it is my own. I prefer to care for cats and small dogs as I'm admittingly intimidated by large dogs. I am currently home full time with my young children, so I have a very flexible schedule to help care for your pet. Occasionally I may need to bring them with me during care hours, so if your pet is very timid or not good around small children we probably aren't a good fit. Sorry. I prefer to take care of your pet in your home, and would diligently spend time and give care to your pet like it was my own.
“Heidi came to our home to walk our Doberman while we were away. She was extremely professional and reliable. We received pictures and comments daily with every walk. It was very comforting to us to know our pet was in safe hands.”

About: With 5 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of small and mid size, calm trained big size dogs, I provide personalized, attentive care tailored to each pup’s unique needs. From playful puppies to gentle seniors, I offer daily walks, sitting and feeding. Whether at your home or mine, I create a safe, loving environment where dogs feel relaxed and happy. My calm demeanor, and my commitment to their well-being is my feature —your pet will be treated like family! I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time for your furry friends. I'm available for boarding during the whole week, on weekends and weekdays. Whether caring for pets in my home or my client’s, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I maintain a calm, pet-friendly space that’s clean, secure, and free from hazards. I follow each pet’s routine closely, from feeding and medication schedules to preferred walking routes and playtime activities. In a client’s home, I respect their space and ensure their pet feels at ease in familiar surroundings. I stay in close communication with pet parents, providing regular updates and photos for peace of mind. Every dog is treated with love, patience, and the same care I’d want for my own.
About: I grew up with both cats and dogs having owned both up until recently. I have been a part-time pet sitter for a total of two years. This job is a great fit for me as I have some time before I switch military branches. Since I no longer own cats or dogs, pet-sitting is the perfect fit for me with my experience. I have a clean home and I’m always up to go for a walk or run with your pet! I proactively engage with your pet depending on his or her needs and always make sure to ask owners if there is anything I can do to help ensure the perfect environment for your pet!
“Linda has been wonderful to work with! She is so good with the dogs and goes above and beyond to help care for them. We will absolutely use her again and recommend without hesitation.”

About: Animals have always trusted me, and I take that seriously. I've cared for pets in all stages of life—whether it’s a high-energy pup needing structure or an older cat who just wants safe and spacious company. I pay close attention to each animal’s unique temperament and needs, and I’m often told I bring a calming presence. Friends and family have relied on me for years to step in when they’re away, knowing their pets—and their homes—will be treated with care and respect. I am a musician and work my own hours. This to say that I am uniquely available to meet the needs of your pet- routine included. I take great care to create a calm, gentle, attentive environment that feels safe and familiar for animals. I pay close attention to their routines, signals, and comfort zones. I am someone who insists on clarity. I understand the importance that instructions are clearly understood and for you to feel the comfort of that while you’re away. I communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively. It takes a real trust to leave your animals and your home in someone else's hands, and I take that responsibility with utmost seriousness—treating your space and your companion with the respect they both deserve.
About: The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. Dogs can be your closest friend so they ought to be cared for and treated like a great one. What I bring to the table is a genuine love for all dogs and an understanding of their needs. I can be fairly flexible on weekdays for visits and walks, but am mostly available only in the afternoon. Weekends, I am pretty much always available. House sits I can do any day of the week. To start off, I always start off by caring for the pet as outlined by the owner (routines, feeding schedules, medications, things to avoid, walks). But in addition to that, I like to have some fun with the dogs that I sit. I will play with them a bit and in general just hang out with them.

About: I’m a reliable and experienced dog walker and pet sitter with a lifelong love for dogs. Now that I have some additional availability, I’ve decided to expand my services to Rover and am excited to offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting to more families in the Conejo Valley area! I treat every dog like they’re my own—with lots of love, patience, and attention, and all of my clients will tell you I quickly become their dog’s favorite part of the day 🐾 💝 I’m happy to provide references upon request and would love the opportunity to meet you and your sweet friend! 💕 I have some open spots in my schedule right now and would love to add a few new doggies! 🐾 I’m available most weekdays and weekends, with flexibility for morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I do my best to work around your routine and make things easy for you! I care for every dog like they’re my own, and their safety and happiness mean everything to me 💛 I always follow your dog’s routine closely so they feel comfortable and secure, and I pay attention to the little things—how they walk on leash, what they enjoy, and what helps them feel at ease. I’m careful, patient, and always aware of our surroundings on walks. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe and happy.

“Nicky is an absolute gem! She has been walking my puppy a few days a week for a month and my puppy absolutely loves her! Nicky sends photos and videos from every single walk and gives me any important feedback. She is very patient and loving with my puppy and has been 100% reliable. I would have no issue with leaving my pup with her for overnight visits as well.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Thousand Oaks
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Heidi! From the moment we left for our vacation, she made us feel completely at ease knowing our puppy was in such caring and capable hands. Heidi was exceptional with communication, providing regular updates, thoughtful messages, and plenty of adorable photos that helped us stay connected to our little one while we were away. Her updates gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation without worrying about our pup at home. What impressed us most was how Heidi consistently went above and beyond. When our puppy experienced a bit of an upset stomach, Heidi thoughtfully purchased some pumpkin to help her feel better. She also took the initiative to clean up the poop in our side yard, which was incredibly appreciated and certainly not something we expected. These small acts of kindness demonstrated just how much she genuinely cares about the pets and families she serves. Heidi also spent time working on leash training with our energetic, curious puppy—a task that is not always easy! Her patience, dedication, and willingness to reinforce good habits showed her commitment to our dog's well-being and development. It is clear that Heidi is passionate about what she does and truly loves the animals she cares for. We are beyond grateful for the exceptional care she provided and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated pet sitter or dog walker. Thank you, Heidi, for taking such amazing care of our girl. We look forward to booking with you again in the future! 🐾❤️

I’m so grateful to have found Taylor! My pups adored her from the moment they met her, and they wait with enthusiasm for her to take them for their daily walkies. They come home tired and happy. Taylor is super professional, great with communication, passionate about her work, and incredibly knowledgeable about dog behavior and needs. She takes adorable and hilarious walk photos and I love the daily notes about how everything went. Taylor is awesome!

Veronica responded to my last minute request quickly and was able to take my dog for a walk when I wasn't feeling well. She was on time in arriving and bringing Bodhi home. She took several cute photos and he seemed to like her immediately. I will definitely consider Veronica in the future for dog walking, etc.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
