About: The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. Dogs can be your closest friend so they ought to be cared for and treated like a great one. What I bring to the table is a genuine love for all dogs and an understanding of their needs. I can be fairly flexible on weekdays for visits and walks, but am mostly available only in the afternoon. Weekends, I am pretty much always available. House sits I can do any day of the week. To start off, I always start off by caring for the pet as outlined by the owner (routines, feeding schedules, medications, things to avoid, walks). But in addition to that, I like to have some fun with the dogs that I sit. I will play with them a bit and in general just hang out with them.

I miss my dogs who have since passed away, so I will treat your dog like my own. I have had a sheltie named Buddy, a chihuahua named Major, and a golden doodle named Baer. About: Hey, I'm Abbie! I'm a lifelong animal girl with love to spare! Being away from my family pets means that any time I can hang out with an animal of any kind, I'll jump at the chance. I've been consistently volunteering for a variety of shelters and humane societies since age 10, and our high-maintenance family dog (not in my residence) has prepared me for a variety of pet hijinks. I love a good walk around the peaceful Thousand Oaks area, and I'm more than happy to bring your furry friend with me. I can administer medications if necessary, and I also have some experience in basic trick and obedience training, so if you want your puppy knowing how to sit by the time you come home, I'm your girl! I am a graduate psychology student and part-time children's coach, so my hours may be subject to some change. As of now, I'm 100% available all day and night on Wednesdays no matter what! I am USUALLY also available all day on Mondays and Fridays. Weekends are dependent on some of my on-the-fly scheduling, but if weekend care is needed, just let me know and I'll more than likely be able to help you out! Your pet's safety will always be my highest priority. I am very well-versed in keeping a watchful eye on pets, whether they be couch potatoes or escape artists. I will always respect their space and your home. I am also trained in safe handling, animal body language, and reducing animal stress. You will never have to worry about your pet's safety when they're in my hands. If you need small additional services while away from the home (ex. watering plants, feeding other animals like fish, brushing your pet, etc.), then let me know and I'll totally help out!
