About: Since highschool, I've been watching family and friend's homes & pets. I have experience with all shapes and sizes of dogs, cats, fish and even some farm animals. I only ever had my own animals when I was a child so as someone who loves being around them, I am grateful for any experiences I get to do so 😊 I am a digital freelancer so all my work is done on my laptop. This allows me to determine my own schedule and provides flexibility in not only the hours I work but where in the world I put those hours in (around 3-4 hours daily, 4 days a week) I've always taken pride in leaving a housesit with the place looking exactly the same as you left it (if not better) and providing the animals with such a positive experience that when given the opportunity to watch them again, they are ecstatic to see me 😊
“Kendyl has just been PERFECT for us and our bulldog absolutely loves her! We have used Kendyl for both long and short trips for drop-in visits. She is incredibly loving with dogs, very flexible, has a warm personality and friendly demeanor, and is totally trustworthy. She recently helped me out on very short notice, and always sends prompt Rover Cards with photos, videos, and detailed comments on the visit. I can’t recommend her highly enough! A+++”

About: I have had five dogs, all different ages and personality types. I have experience with puppies and can follow any directions you have for your pet! You can count on me for all your pet care needs! I am currently a college student. I have time throughout the day and in the evenings as well as the weekends to care for your pets. I am able, and happy to, take your dogs into my home! I provide a comfortable, warm environment that your pets will feel right at home in!

“We were so happy to find Kim! She took great care of our five dogs and two rabbits while we were out of town. We had no worries leaving them in her hands. Such a great feeling to have a pet sitter we trust 100%.”
“Oh my gosh. I cannot recommend Fallon enough. She was just SUCH a blessing to have. I haven’t used Rover in a long time because of a past experience but Fallon is the real deal! Exactly what you’d hope for from a pet sitter. She goes ABOVE and beyond with her care and communication. I truly feel like I can’t leave my babies with anyone else anymore. We have tortoises, flowers, and 4 cats. One of them is super skiddish and she extended so much empathy to him until he warmed up to her. And she nailed it all! The biggest of thank yous from my family to Fallon! We will definitely be seeing her again as my cats already miss her! 🥰”

“Cecilia was wonderful! She was very careful with our senior dog and our shy cat absolutely loved her. Very accommodating and responsive. Will definitely be our go to pet sitter!”

“Outstanding and reliable, with excellent communication! We have several pets (cat, tortoise, dragon, dogs, fish) and it’s good to know that we can count on Oli to perform our complicated pet routine when we’re away. Thanks!”

About: Hello, animal parents! I’m Taylor, a 36-year-old long-time professional animal and human caretaker with great references. I’m available for drop-in visits for cats, dogs, horses and other hoofed loved ones, as well as reptiles, amphibians, fish, and any other little critters. Need me to visit your tarantula? I would love nothing more. :) My partner and I have two cats, three dogs, and pond fish. I have many years of experience with senior cats and pups and administering medications. Happy to do some heavy lifting for pets with mobility challenges (up to 80lbs). I’m big on respecting animals’ boundaries, and know all the body language signs for dogs, cats, and horses. Bonus: my own beloved fur children and I have also completed many positive reinforcement dog training courses (so I won’t undo the progress you’ve made with your puppy)! Double bonus: natural horsemanship classes. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, play games, spend time with my human and animal loved ones, and volunteer at the LGBT Center. By day, I am a caregiver (to humans), a pet-sitter, and a social work student. I’m available for early morning and evening animal visits during the week, and morning, midday, and evening visits on the weekends. At this time, I am only available for drop-in visits. I am careful, respectful, and kind. I treat the animals temporarily under my care as I would want someone to care for my own fur children. By hiring me, you’re getting the benefit of the experience of an eldest child of five who cared for her siblings (and pets) in her teens, then dogs, cats, and horses professionally in her early 20s, and elderly patients (and so many more animals) in her 30s.
About: I have responsibly cared for animals since childhood and throughout my adulthood. Growing up my family home was always open to new pets - cats, dogs, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, reptiles, you name it! There I learned the skills required to care for an animal of any temperament, I learned to adapt their unique needs and to help them feel safe and secure in your absence. I have years of experience as a trustworthy pet owner and caretaker of dogs and cats of all ages. I promise to care for your pet reliably, mindfully, and intuitively, pulling from years of developed expertise to ensure your emotional ease and their comfort and wellbeing. I have been building my business app-free but now I’m so happy to offer my services to fellow animal lovers through Rover. I love what I do, I’m flexible to your schedule, and I hope to offer you peace of mind (and lots of pictures upon request) knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for! I work from home and my hours are flexible so I am able to provide your pet with the 24/7 care and attention they need. I live in a one bedroom apartment, if I am caring for your pet in my own space I have plenty of room for your pet to play. I love to be outside and am available for walks at any hour of the day.

“Sophia is the BEST. I trust her with my dog so much. My pup is always happy to see her when she comes by, it’s so cute. Highly recommend her, she’s super great with pups. :)”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years through animal shelters and private pet sitting. I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, including administering medication, reinforcing training, bathing, and taking dogs on long walks or runs. I’m also comfortable caring for large breeds, reactive dogs, and pets with special needs. I have extensive experience with cats as well. As a law student, I study from home most days, so your pets will get plenty of attention, companionship, and care. My goal is to make sure you can relax knowing they are safe, happy, and well cared for! As a full-time law student, I spend most of my days studying from home, with only a few hours of class each day. That means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my routine, and they make great study buddies! I do my best to keep your pet on their normal routine so they feel comfortable in the space they know best. I’m happy to help with walks, playtime, medications, and even around the house if needed. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own. You’ll also receive daily updates and plenty of photos so you always know how they’re doing!
About: I love dogs and have had dogs all of my live, and had taken care of them when they were puppies, so potty training, playing and keeping and eye on them, and also when they were sick and old, so giving extra attention to their wellbeing. Pets are family members that need to be cared for, treated with respect, as well as provide them with some fun play time. I’m currently working part time so I have time to spend with your pet during week days and can provide visits twice a day in case that is needed. I would keep them on their leash whenever we are outside, always keep the door closed to avoid them running away and follow the house rules.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets since my childhood while living at grandma’s village house. A brunch of “pets” from cats, dogs and chickens - to geese, goats, cows, rabbits, turkeys. I’m available for boarding daily mostly 12-5pm. But every case depends, contact ahead to verify . Not doing early morning or late evening visits or walks. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding, medications, exercise, and house rules, so pets stay comfortable in their familiar space. Change for fresh water if needed

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
