About: I am a passionate animal lover (and for that reason a strict vegetarian). I grew up with cats, dogs and birds - I dreamed of being a vet. I was the kid who brought strays home and rescued baby birds who had fallen from their nests (I even raised one to adulthood by hand feeding). When I first moved to the LA area, I was a cat foster parent, then a dog foster. The love of my life, Sailor, was a foster fail - and the best thing that ever happened to me - aside from my kids : ) Sadly, I lost Sailor this past fall. Unfortunately, his care meant I also became an expert in caring for a senior dog, and a dog with cancer. My heart has ached in his absence, but a new dog isn't in the cards currently. I am also an empty nester this year, and with my boys gone and my work travel, there is no one here to care for a pup : ( But when I am not traveling for work, I work from home. Often weeks at a time. It's lonely without a dog. But I have time and flexibility. And so the idea to pet sit!! I work from home when not traveling for work and can work my own schedule. I am also free basically every evening and weekend and lots of holidays. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I never leave pets unattended outside - ever. I’m always with them and also highly conscientious about potential hazards, including dangerous foods, unsafe toys, and environmental risks.

About: I go by Belle. I am a pre veterinary college student and I have interned at 2 pet clinics for school. I can read body language of dogs and cats to almost perfection. I’ve worked with big animals as well; sheep, goats, chickens, cows, and horses (which I am open to looking after if you have any). I also have a steady hand in basic dog training being an American Akita owner myself. If you need someone to look after your fish as well do not panic, I can do that too. I will be available through out the holiday season and in the beginning of the year since I have no classes and my part time job is only a few hours Sunday mornings. I can take care of your pets in your house, respecting your area while focusing on them. Unfortunately my house is not a wanted environment for other pets since I have several animals of my own. If your dog is +100 lbs I would prefer to use a gentle leader head halter or a provided training leash/collar on them for safety reasons.

About: I'm a sensitive, caring responsible individual who loves to play with dogs and with whom dogs love to play. I've worked at the Glendale, CA Humane Society Shelter walking dogs and really enjoyed the experience. I've owned dogs for a good part of my life. However, I recently had to put Taffy, my last dog, to sleep. She was 16 and not doing well. It was heart wrenching and I thought perhaps that rather getting another, I could give the love I have for dogs to others, without having the ultimate burden of ownership. I live in Agoura Hills, CA. There lots of room for dogs to walk and play, lots of trees and grass for dogs to sniff and explore. There are also lots of other dogs in the community and opportunities for dogs to socialize, if the owners and the dogs want. I have a fenced yard and I work from home. I have a flexible schedule. Consequently, I can adapt my schedule to your dog's schedule. I have a fenced yard and I have no other dogs. Even though the house is on two levels, it's easy for dogs to navigate.

Yours will have the most wonderful single-pet staycation, be safe, sweetly cared for, played with, and walked. I love walks, rain or shine, but if your pup is not a fan or is a senior, we can Netflix & chill instead ;). I typically board one family’s pets at a time so they get my full attention and it’s more like home. I previously fostered over 30 dogs large & small for a SoCal rescue (not all at once ;). Many needed special or medical care. Currently no dogs of my own, but I did raise the sweetest girl for 16 years who was on the news for being the oldest of her breed. She was a soulful character. I look forward to meeting yours! Available 7 days a week and most holidays. Same-day walking requests are also welcome. I work from home with flexible hours, and can keep your fur friends comfy, healthy and happy! I’ll be sure to send you daily updates with adorable photos :). I live in a safe gated townhome, lots of grassy and shaded sidewalk areas within, as well as hiking trails adjacent! My home and personality are chill. But I love outdoor adventure, and hiking if your dog is up for that too. Your pet is welcome on my couch for extra snuggles but I adhere to the same house rules you’ve trained them to follow. If needed, I can provide an XL crate, doggie bed, bowls and leash. Please bring their harness and usual food so we keep their tummy happy. Anything else you think will make their stay is welcome.

About: I have had dogs and cats since I was little. I love going on long walks with my dogs and of course play time. I have experience, fostering puppies and kittens. I am currently a senior in college, but only have one to two classes a day. I am able to be home majority of the day. The environment is a townhouse with a big living room and we are also right next to a dog park. There are no other pets in our house so your animals would be the only one.

About: I love dogs and have had dogs all of my live, and had taken care of them when they were puppies, so potty training, playing and keeping and eye on them, and also when they were sick and old, so giving extra attention to their wellbeing. Pets are family members that need to be cared for, treated with respect, as well as provide them with some fun play time. I’m currently working part time so I have time to spend with your pet during week days and can provide visits twice a day in case that is needed. I would keep them on their leash whenever we are outside, always keep the door closed to avoid them running away and follow the house rules.

About: I’ve always loved animals and had a collection growing up. Everything from lizards and frogs to cats and dogs. I have a 2 y/o GSD husky mix that I trained to be a service dog. She was career changed because she didn’t like having a job, but she now enjoys dog sports! I’ve done a lot of basic obedience with all sorts of dogs, from highly intelligent German shepherds to nervous chihuahuas. I grew up around massive, “aggressive” dogs like bull mastiffs and Rottweilers and I’ve dogsat plenty of little poodles and Pomeranians. I walk dogs for neighbors regularly and have taken care of a couple senior pups. I’ve never taken care of a dog with extreme special needs like complete blindness/deafness. I take care of my own dog and my two cats daily. My dog is 70 pounds and needs lots of exercise, so we are out and about often, however I also play engagement and enrichment games with her at home to keep her mind sharp which is something I like to implement with all my clients. I always try to build a good relationship with the dogs (and cats) I’m walking/sitting. It usually means a lot of treats and petting, but the most important thing is that your animals have stress-free interactions with me.

I have quite a bit of experience with all kinds of animals, some even exotic due to getting to volunteer at the Westmeister farm in ohio! I am available everyday but Tuesdays and Sundays!
