“Just the most lovely family! They took such good care of my pup while I was away. I highly recommend them! Thanks so much for your patience and kindness with my pup.”

“Cooper was extremely well taken care of. Diana went above and beyond. He had walks, companionship and some personal care. My first time using Diana but it won’t be my last time. Thank you Diana for taking such great care of Coop.”

“Would 100% rebook with Siobhan! Took incredible care of my pug, was super quick to respond and sent me updates so I didn’t worry once. Would give 10 stars if it let me!”

“Rajarshi is absolutely amazing! He watched our dog like as if he was his own child! He sent us regular updates with pictures and videos of what our dog was doing during the day! Gave him 3-4 walks during the day, played with him and took such great care of him! We will always leave our dog with Rajarshi! Rajarshi’s background and experience in fostering dogs makes him one of the most experienced & well rounded pet sitter who you can trust blindfoldedly! I would say that anyone and everyone can trust him with their pets! I wish I could give him 10 stars ⭐️ but 5 is the maximum we can give so giving him 5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Alice was wonderful to work with! She took great care of everything and kept me updated throughout the entire time. She regularly sent photos and updates, which gave me peace of mind and showed how thoughtful and caring she is. She was kind, reliable, and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Alice and would definitely work with her again!”

“My Furbaby (Baby) is stand-offish when interacting with others! But surprisingly, as we entered the home Baby proceeded as if she had been there before! In other-words, the home is filled with good vibes. Oli, assured me Baby would be fine and sent photos which were reassuring. Knowing my furbaby was comfortable, comforts me! Thank you for the warm welcome and the gracious hospitality! Thank you again!”

“Couldn’t be happier. This family was so kind and loving and my dog couldn’t have been happier. Erika is extremely personable and professional - and I can tell her daughters spoiled my dog with attention and love. Will absolutely be using Erika again”

“Our little pup did really well with Elaine & Martin. We were worried because our dog is kind of peculiar, but they were great with her! They sent photos so we could see how comfortable she was, and this allowed us to enjoy our trip and not worry. We have already booked another stay with them! They are great!”

About: I have been caring for pets for decades and understand how important it is to know your dog is safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved while you are away. I care for only one visiting dog at a time in my home, which allows me to provide highly personalized and attentive care for your small to mid-sized dog. I work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and typically only for up to 90 minutes if I attend a yoga class or run a quick errand. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication. I am patient, observant, and happy to follow your dog’s established routines so they feel as relaxed and secure as possible. My apartment community feels like a small park, with plenty of grassy areas for walks and exploration. We are also about a mile from Triunfo Canyon Park, which we visit often when the weather permits. My own dog, Chadwick, is a calm and friendly Chihuahua who enjoys sharing his home and cozy resting spots with visiting friends. My goal is to give your dog a peaceful, loving home-away-from-home experience with plenty of companionship, attention, and affection. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already plan my days around caring for my own small dog, Chadwick. I am home most of the day and can provide regular walks, meals, playtime, companionship, and plenty of opportunities to relax. Dogs are typically never left alone for more than about 90 minutes if I attend a yoga class or run a quick errand. I also keep my schedule flexible while hosting a dog so I can follow their usual feeding, medication, walking, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I live alone in a first-floor apartment and take full responsibility for every pet in my care. Because I welcome only one visiting dog at a time, I am able to give them close supervision and personalized attention throughout their stay. My apartment has a balcony with comfortable outdoor seating where the dogs and I can relax together. Dogs are never allowed on the balcony or outside unattended, and I always accompany them when entering or leaving the apartment. Just outside my door are grassy hills, walking paths, and plenty of areas to explore throughout my apartment community. I keep dogs safely leashed outdoors and follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, sleeping arrangements, and household routines. My goal is to provide a calm, secure, and loving environment where your dog can feel comfortable and cared for while you are away.
“Was fortunate to book with Julia through the Rover app less than 24 hours before a 3+ day work trip. From the moment Apollo and I were welcomed in to her home I knew he was in good hands. She paid careful attention to feeding instructions and picked up and addressed my concerns. She sent photos every evening with a full report of Apollo’s activity and behavior for the day. I highly recommend Julia for your four legged family members care. Thank you Julia and your son for welcoming Apollo in to your home and caring for him.”

“Mary was great with my dog. He doesn’t like everyone, who does? Lol But he did great with Mary and their dog. I couldn’t have asked for more, really. He’s very active and they let him run 2x a day plus he got to cool off in their pool. If you’re concerned about leaving your dog, choose Mary, it will make you feel good every time you go away:)”

“Jenna is so great. My dog seemed to have had a great time with her. Her home is very warm and inviting and my dog was very comfortable. Definitely will be booking her again! Thanks!”

“I was comfortable leaving my 2 year old pup to Cassandra. Great neighborhood, house and backyard. She's very reassuring, sent me photos and updates which made our vacation less worried about our pup. Thank You Cassandra.”

“We could not have asked for a better family to care for our dog, Cody. They treated him as if he were part of their own family, and even though we only asked for weekend sitting, they went above and beyond by playing with him and making sure he had the best time. We could tell our fur boy had so much fun—he came home happy and tired, sleeping early from all the excitement. They were also incredibly responsive every time we checked in. We are truly grateful for their kindness, care, and genuine love for Cody. Thank you so much.”

“Ashley and her family were more than accommodating for Murphy and I almost felt guilty picking him up. He fell in love with their dogs especially Gus who he played with in the backyard running laps until exhaustion. He made himself right at home and they treated him like part of the family. I couldn’t imagine anyone else’s watching Murphy while I’m in the area.”

“Christopher was very easy to communicate with making our planning and execution simple. Our dog loved “doggy vacation” and I loved all the pictures and videos. Our dog came home happy, healthy and well cared for.”

“Danielle was wonderful! She and her fur babies took very good care of my brothers dog while he was in the hospital rehab for 11 days. It gave the whole family peace of mind knowing he was in a safe and loving place! Will definitely use her again if needed.”

About: In many of the activities that I’m involved in, such as color guard (marching band) and choir, punctuality and reliability are a necessity, and I will carry this over to my pet sitting responsibilities. In regards to my experience with cats, I myself grew up with a cat that required extra care and attention, so I can assure that the same care will be shown with your pet.

“sierra did a great job! i was in a bit of a pinch when my usual pet sitter canceled on me a couple days before my trip but sierra responded right away and was super attentive and communicative through out the whole process! she took such good care of my kitties and home. will definitely be booking with her again :)))”

“Debbie was so wonderful! She took care of our two cats while we were out of town and weren’t able to get help from our family like normal. It was a holiday weekend and she was incredibly kind and accommodating, sending us pictures, updates, and keeping us reassured everything at home was fine. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Zack was absolutely amazing with my two dogs while I was away for a few days. My German Shepherd mix isn’t the easiest dog to care for, but Zack went above and beyond to make sure both of my dogs were happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. He’s responsible, trustworthy, and always on time. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dogs were in such great hands. I came home to two happy, relaxed pups, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Zack to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, and I will definitely be booking him again in the future!”
About: I’ve taken care of family and friend’s pets for a few years. I have worked with a trainer so I have some knowledge of positive reinforcement training. I am not working at this time so my schedule is very flexible. I can stay at your home the full time you are away or just do drop ins. Whatever you need. I do not offer care in my home but will be happy to stay with your pets at your home which puts your pets in a more comfortable environment.
“This was our second time having Lara watch our cat and we will continue to use her when we go out of town. She’s great with our cat. She’s communicative and sends lots of photos. Highly recommend Lara!”

“Amazing experience — our doggie loved Angela. She is super kind and caring and kept us in the loop throughout the drop in visit. I look forward to working with her again.”

“Super appreciate Brittany, she steps in to save the day when other sitters cancel last minute, she communicates every step of the way even when not hearing from me, sticks around to see that my avoidant cats get a little attention, and just really cares. Thanks again Brittany!”

“Julia was very helpful and took care of everything I could’ve hoped for while I travelled last minute for a funeral. My very shy cats warmed up to her quickly which says to me that she’s patient and kind—my fussy little furballs often take 3-4 occasions with a new person to get as comfortable as they were with her within a few days. I was grateful to know they were in good hands while I dealt with a difficult situation many states away.”

About: Apart from caring for my own kitties through out my whole life I have also cat sat for others! I am very skilled in understanding cats needs and can ensure I will take great care of your cats!

About: I love cats but haven't recently lost my 2 elderly cats. It is too soon for me to have my own again, but I would love to care for your kitty and get some kitty lovin'. I have 17 years of experience in the veterinary field and can give care for any life stage. 😺
About: The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. Dogs can be your closest friend so they ought to be cared for and treated like a great one. What I bring to the table is a genuine love for all dogs and an understanding of their needs. I can be fairly flexible on weekdays for visits and walks, but am mostly available only in the afternoon. Weekends, I am pretty much always available. House sits I can do any day of the week. To start off, I always start off by caring for the pet as outlined by the owner (routines, feeding schedules, medications, things to avoid, walks). But in addition to that, I like to have some fun with the dogs that I sit. I will play with them a bit and in general just hang out with them.
About: I've taken care of pets since I was 10, experience sitting for friends and neighbors. I have had 1 tortoise, 3 cats, 3 dogs, and a lovely bearded dragon. I can handle big and small pets, and love them all! I have a remote and flexible job, so house sitting is easy for me, as is daily drop-ins if you just need your pet let out/walked for a bit. I care for all pets as if they were my own, I fall in love with every pet I meet, and do everything to make them happy and comfortable <3 I will send you photos and videos of your pet!

“Elaine and Marty have given me peace of mind while traveling for work or pleasure. I know Zoey is home away from home with her daily routine and the love she receives. I am guilt free leaving here there and words cannot express my gratitude to Elaine and Marty.”

“Julia is super dependable and communicative! Our 2 dogs stayed with her during the day and she took lots of pics to messaged us during the day. We can tell our dogs love her and feel very comfortable at her place. We feel so happy to have found a new sitter who we can trust when we are on vacation.”

“Bagel had a great time with Oli and Benji. Oli was very communicative and understanding with a last minute request and couple of changes around timings. Would definitely recommend Oli for anyone looking for a local sitter, Bagel came back happy and relaxed both days.”

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for years, and being a dog mom myself has taught me how much love, patience, attention, and responsibility goes into caring for a pet. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s individual routine and personality. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, medication routines, and keeping your pup comfortable while you’re away. My goal is for every dog in my care to feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be home and available throughout the day. I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m especially happy to accommodate your dog’s normal routine and make sure they receive the same consistency and care they’re used to at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I treat every dog like they are part of my own family and understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby. I provide a loving, calm, supervised environment and will follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, routines, and any special needs\. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is happy, safe, and being well cared for.
About: MATURE and RESPONSIBLE DOG LOVER. I’ve had dogs from small to giant. I am a volunteer at the Agoura Animal Shelter and Ventura County Animal Shelter. I have many years of experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and currently I have a Treeing Walker Hound, and a senior Cocker Spaniel (both are rescues). I provide hotel pet sitting, hiking, walking, and check-ins. A MEET AND GREET WITH THE PET AND THEIR OWNER IS REQUIRED. I walk my own dogs every morning and bathe them once each week. Dog-walking is my livelihood and I take the care of dogs seriously. I volunteer twice a week at the Agoura Animal Shelter and the Ventura Animal Shelter. I live in a single-family home with a fenced yard, and have a section of the house I can gate if I need to. Because I have my own dogs who need me, I am not available to stay in a client’s home.
About: (Greg) I’ve owned three dogs since I was 18, and have cared for pets since childhood. My wife and both of my daughters (Oliva & Audrey) love dogs, we have dogsat for our neighbors/family/friends, and will assist me in caring for yours. Feel free to reach out for testimonials from our neighbors, family, and friends' recommendations (not on Rover) During the week, I work from home and can take the necessary breaks for pet care. In the evening, we'll have them sleep in an owner-provided kennel or in our living room on a bed pad. This can be inside the house or garage, depending upon the type of dog, its temperament, and owner preference.

About: I've been a dedicated dog owner for a few years and understand the responsibility, structure, and attention dogs need to thrive and feel comfortable. In addition to caring for my own dog daily, I’ve also provided pet care for friends and family. I believe in treating others the way I would want to be treated, so I prioritize clear communication, consistency, and updates to give pet parents peace of mind while they're away. I work remotely four days a week and off Saturday through Monday, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and interaction. My own dog, Peanut, spends the day with me in my home office, and this allows for a couple of one-on-one play sessions throughout the day. My home office has a sliding door that leads directly to our large, and secure, yard, making potty breaks easy and as frequent as needed. I have a school age daughter, and a terrier mix who roams freely, so we’re very mindful about keeping floors and common areas clear of anything that could pose a choking hazard or safety risk. Same goes with the outside. I provide close supervision in a normal household activity and everyday sounds like TV or music. My dog is crate trained; however, we typically use a playpen if a secure space is needed. I am happy to follow each pet's parent's preferences regarding crating, feeding routines, and supervision to ensure every dog feels safe and comfortable.

About: I have three beautiful well behaved dogs and we go to Dogpark or on walks every day. I have a huge yard and the dogs have free reign. Nothing sounds more fun than hanging out with more dogs!! I am currently working part time and would like to fill the rest of my time taking care of dogs. I am very good with dogs and they seem to like me as well. Probably because I take the time to spend with them. I have plenty of space and friendly dogs that love to play. I would want to meet your dog as well as you and make sure we all get along. I go to the dogpark almost every day and would be happy to meet you and your dog and introduce you to my pack.

“Dodi was so wonderful! We had a lot of moving parts with our trip due to weather. She was flexible and worked with us while we figured out when we needed her to watch our puppy. Dodger was happy when we picked her up and happy when she went for her second visit! She sent updates and pics while we were away. I’d highly recommend her and will use her again!”

“This was the second time I had Sierra review my dog, Bodhi. She was on time, came on short notice, and sent a pic of my dog chilling on his blanket. Very happy with her service and would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I grew up in Mexico up until I was 6 years old and my family had so many different kinds of animals that ranged from cows, turkeys, chickens, pigs, cats, dogs and even the random peacock. Moving to the US, I grew up with a few dogs & a bunny who I loved very much. When I moved out on my own, I never had my own pet due to my living circumstances but my friends always would ask me to help take care of their pets while they’d be away and even during the pandemic, I assisted my friend who fostered animals. That experience singlehandedly changed my life for the better and made me love taking care of animals even more. Animals are such smart creatures and its important to connect with them well so they can trust you and respect you as well! Currently have very open availability as I moved back home to my family’s as I am taking a year to focus going back to school to get my MBA and would like to still work a bit while I study and apply to schools. Even if I were to get a full time job again, I would want to keep taking care of pets in my free time! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take care of pets in my home as my mom runs a daycare but I will ensure your pet and your property are both well taken care of. I will clean up after myself and the pet(s) but also ensure they feel comfortable in their space. If needed to stay overnight, I will do as told and ensure the space is the same as it was left! Respecting someone’s home and pets is my number 1 priority.
“Perry recently began walking our dog Harley. During the meet and greet, he took notes to ensure that he knew just how to walk her and what her triggers can be. He sends Rover cards after each visit and leaves our space very clean. Harley can have separation anxiety, but he makes sure to follow through with our strategies to help her once he leaves. We are very happy with him!”

“Taylor has been a gem! She was available super last minute to walk my pup for me and has now offered to take her to the dog park for extra playtime 🙌🏻 I’ll def continue to use her services!”

About: Animals have always trusted me, and I take that seriously. I've cared for pets in all stages of life—whether it’s a high-energy pup needing structure or an older cat who just wants safe and spacious company. I pay close attention to each animal’s unique temperament and needs, and I’m often told I bring a calming presence. Friends and family have relied on me for years to step in when they’re away, knowing their pets—and their homes—will be treated with care and respect. I am a musician and work my own hours. This to say that I am uniquely available to meet the needs of your pet- routine included. I take great care to create a calm, gentle, attentive environment that feels safe and familiar for animals. I pay close attention to their routines, signals, and comfort zones. I am someone who insists on clarity. I understand the importance that instructions are clearly understood and for you to feel the comfort of that while you’re away. I communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively. It takes a real trust to leave your animals and your home in someone else's hands, and I take that responsibility with utmost seriousness—treating your space and your companion with the respect they both deserve.
“Brittany has so SO great with my Tucker. She has been prompt, super friendly and kind and shared images of their walk together. Tucker seems to be in great hands and would def recommend!”

“Allison is wonderful. She stopped by to meet our pup and he quickly warmed up to her. Her communication is excellent and we were very comfortable leaving our pup in her care. So happy to have met Allison.”

“Julia did a great job! I have a big dog and she had no problem walking and feeding her. Julia was always on time and consistently updated me. I will definitely schedule with her again.”

About: I have been a pet owner my entire life. I've jokingly called myself a "cat whisperer" and pride myself in connecting with kitties of all ages. I will care for your furry friend like it is my own. I prefer to care for cats and small dogs as I'm admittingly intimidated by large dogs. I am currently home full time with my young children, so I have a very flexible schedule to help care for your pet. Occasionally I may need to bring them with me during care hours, so if your pet is very timid or not good around small children we probably aren't a good fit. Sorry. I prefer to take care of your pet in your home, and would diligently spend time and give care to your pet like it was my own.
About: Animals have always been a part of my life. Whether it be my own or caring for others, they always have a special place in my heart. The most important things to me is their comfort and health. I enjoy adapting to your pets needs and making sure they get the most out of our time together. I’m able to handle any medications and be assistance to any training techniques that need to be reinforced. I have lots of daytime availability and enjoy running or playing as much as your pet needs. I’ve recently moved from Chicago where I was dog walking in all types of weather. So there’s nothing I won’t do to give your furry friend the care and love they deserve! I am an artist and work from home. I set my own hours and have the flexibility to be present and playful with the animal I'm caring for. I live in a quiet gated community that has lots of places to walk and explore. With a trail nearby and it's a very animal friendly neighborhood. When I stay in someones home, I go off the mode of leave no trace. Meaning I'm tidy and courteous. I treat anyones space like its my own with all the attention and care for the animal.
About: I grew up on a farm! I love all animals and can even take care of livestock, horses, etc. I currently have 3 high needs dogs! I can administer medications, injections, and am very sensitive with high needs care and breeds. I am also very experienced with high anxiety animals and can adapt to your pets needs. If your pet has a special need, please don’t hesitate to talk to me about it! I do require a meet and greet prior to visits! As a dog owner myself I am very used to standard routines! Feeding, walking, playtime and rest. I have ample time on my days off from being a hairstylist and would love to fill my time playing with your pets! I can only care for your pet in and around your home! During the time I am with your pet, I will make sure they feel loved, have a full belly, and are all tired out for when you get home! I have a very gentle and sweet approach with animals.

“Nicky is an absolute gem! She has been walking my puppy a few days a week for a month and my puppy absolutely loves her! Nicky sends photos and videos from every single walk and gives me any important feedback. She is very patient and loving with my puppy and has been 100% reliable. I would have no issue with leaving my pup with her for overnight visits as well.”

About: I’m a reliable and experienced dog walker and pet sitter with a lifelong love for dogs. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me, and I truly enjoy making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments—including puppies, senior dogs, and high-energy breeds. Over the years, I’ve become a trusted, go-to dog walker in my neighborhood, mainly through referrals and repeat clients. “Cooper was extremely well taken care of. Diana went above and beyond. He had walks, companionship and some personal care. My first time using Diana but it won’t be my last time. Thank you Diana for taking such great care of Coop.”

“Couldn’t be happier. This family was so kind and loving and my dog couldn’t have been happier. Erika is extremely personable and professional - and I can tell her daughters spoiled my dog with attention and love. Will absolutely be using Erika again”

“Thea was great match for both of my dogs, from the beginning, I really loved the idea of the meet & great, it is a peace of mind knowing that you don’t have to worry about the actual day! I would definitely rebook with her, for the near future.”

“Hayden took great care of Jellybean and updated us throughout our trip with photos and videos. He has a huge yard and lots of places to explore. Definitely recommend! Thanks Hayden.”

“Harlan was a terrific sitter and took wonderful care of our dog for nearly three weeks. We loved getting regular updates and texts. When we picked our dog up, he seemed happy and well cared for. Thank you, Harlan!”

“Erin and Ken were great hosts meeting our dog first for compatibility between their dog and our elderly blind dog. They have an enclosed yard for playing and sent us pictures. We didn't know it but our dog passed a week after returning home from heart failure.Recommended.”

“Nicky was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! My Benji is very hesitant with strangers. During our meet n greet he took to her right away. I knew right then she was perfect for my pups. During their stay she kept us updated with pictures and videos and I could tell they were having a great time by their smiling faces. We will definitely be using Nicky again. Thank you Nicky for taking care of our sweet babies.”

“Brooklyn enjoyed her stay with Andrew and Karrie over the course of 3 weeks. She spent both days and overnight and we were happy with her care and enjoyed the pictures. We would definitely have Andrew and Karrie watch our fur babies again!”

“Neda treated our baby girl like an absolute queen! We reached out to her last minute as our usual dog sitter couldn’t watch Roxy. She agreed to let us meet her beforehand and we brought Roxy too- everyone vibed really well! Neda took Roxy on walks and gave us little updates with photos. You can tell Neda really has a passion for animal care and she treated Roxy like one of her own.”
