About: I have been caring for pets for decades and understand how important it is to know your dog is safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved while you are away. I care for only one visiting dog at a time in my home, which allows me to provide highly personalized and attentive care for your small to mid-sized dog. I work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and typically only for up to 90 minutes if I attend a yoga class or run a quick errand. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication. I am patient, observant, and happy to follow your dog’s established routines so they feel as relaxed and secure as possible. My apartment community feels like a small park, with plenty of grassy areas for walks and exploration. We are also about a mile from Triunfo Canyon Park, which we visit often when the weather permits. My own dog, Chadwick, is a calm and friendly Chihuahua who enjoys sharing his home and cozy resting spots with visiting friends. My goal is to give your dog a peaceful, loving home-away-from-home experience with plenty of companionship, attention, and affection. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already plan my days around caring for my own small dog, Chadwick. I am home most of the day and can provide regular walks, meals, playtime, companionship, and plenty of opportunities to relax. Dogs are typically never left alone for more than about 90 minutes if I attend a yoga class or run a quick errand. I also keep my schedule flexible while hosting a dog so I can follow their usual feeding, medication, walking, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I live alone in a first-floor apartment and take full responsibility for every pet in my care. Because I welcome only one visiting dog at a time, I am able to give them close supervision and personalized attention throughout their stay. My apartment has a balcony with comfortable outdoor seating where the dogs and I can relax together. Dogs are never allowed on the balcony or outside unattended, and I always accompany them when entering or leaving the apartment. Just outside my door are grassy hills, walking paths, and plenty of areas to explore throughout my apartment community. I keep dogs safely leashed outdoors and follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, sleeping arrangements, and household routines. My goal is to provide a calm, secure, and loving environment where your dog can feel comfortable and cared for while you are away.

About: MATURE and RESPONSIBLE DOG LOVER. I’ve had dogs from small to giant. I am a volunteer at the Agoura Animal Shelter and Ventura County Animal Shelter. I have many years of experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and currently I have a Treeing Walker Hound, and a senior Cocker Spaniel (both are rescues). I provide hotel pet sitting, hiking, walking, and check-ins. A MEET AND GREET WITH THE PET AND THEIR OWNER IS REQUIRED. I walk my own dogs every morning and bathe them once each week. Dog-walking is my livelihood and I take the care of dogs seriously. I volunteer twice a week at the Agoura Animal Shelter and the Ventura Animal Shelter. I live in a single-family home with a fenced yard, and have a section of the house I can gate if I need to. Because I have my own dogs who need me, I am not available to stay in a client’s home.

About: (Greg) I’ve owned three dogs since I was 18, and have cared for pets since childhood. My wife and both of my daughters (Oliva & Audrey) love dogs, we have dogsat for our neighbors/family/friends, and will assist me in caring for yours. Feel free to reach out for testimonials from our neighbors, family, and friends' recommendations (not on Rover) During the week, I work from home and can take the necessary breaks for pet care. My daughters will assist me with pet care, once homework and other daily tasks are complete. We offer an enclosed backyard for dogs to be outside during daytime. In the evening, we'll have them sleep in an owner-provided kennel or in our living room on a bed pad. This can be inside the house or garage, depending upon the type of dog, its temperament, and owner preference.

About: Hi! I can’t wait to meet your beloved fur babies! I spent the past three years working full time at an animal sanctuary where I cared for horses, dogs, cats, goats, and sheep. My passion is riding horses and hiking with dogs. I've owned & loved 4 of my own horses, 4 dogs, 6 cats and several smaller animals in my life. I would prefer to go to other people's homes to care for there pets however I could take one or possibly two smaller dogs in my own home. I do not have a yard but I go on long walks and have trails all around me.

About: I've been a dedicated dog owner for a few years and understand the responsibility, structure, and attention dogs need to thrive and feel comfortable. In addition to caring for my own dog daily, I’ve also provided pet care for friends and family. I believe in treating others the way I would want to be treated, so I prioritize clear communication, consistency, and updates to give pet parents peace of mind while they're away. I work remotely four days a week and off Saturday through Monday, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and interaction. My own dog, Peanut, spends the day with me in my home office, and this allows for a couple of one-on-one play sessions throughout the day. My home office has a sliding door that leads directly to our large, and secure, yard, making potty breaks easy and as frequent as needed. I have a school age daughter, and a terrier mix who roams freely, so we’re very mindful about keeping floors and common areas clear of anything that could pose a choking hazard or safety risk. Same goes with the outside. I provide close supervision in a normal household activity and everyday sounds like TV or music. My dog is crate trained; however, we typically use a playpen if a secure space is needed. I am happy to follow each pet's parent's preferences regarding crating, feeding routines, and supervision to ensure every dog feels safe and comfortable.
