“Andrew and Karrie were so great with meeting Harley for the first time. The meet and greet went well. Then he did doggie daycare and seemed to really like them. Thank you!!”

“Finn were so happy when I picked him up. Rachel gave so much update of pix and video. First time meeting them was a bliss. I cant believe Finn didn't even bark as he always barks on strangers. We hope to have Finn meet his newly found friends soon! ?❤️????”

“Chris was fantastic, just as described on his bio. Roxy and Micah had a great day with him and he sent updates and photos throughout the day. THANK YOU very much for taking such great care of our babies. It’s so nice when someone is responsive, prompt and attentive as Chris.”

“Stanislava took great care of my dog while I was away for a couple hours in the evening. When we arrived, I met her dogs, who were both very mellow and my dog took a liking to them. My dog does not like being away from me, so I was worried about leaving him at first. Stanislava sent plenty of photo updates even though my dog's stay with her was rather short. Seeing the photos put me at ease!”

“Ayni and Alfonsus were wonderful! They sent me updates the whole evening and Frankie seemed very comfortable and had a great time. Will definitely book with them again!”

“Phil and Lauren watched Penny for 3 days and she had a great time! They gave her puzzle toys to keep her entertained since it was too hot to play outside. She’s always happy to stay with them!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs and have a dog of my own. I offer boarding, walks, and plenty of playtime. With your permission, I also love making dog-friendly homemade treats for pups to enjoy during their stay! I know how important it is to feel at ease when leaving your pup in someone else’s care, so I provide regular updates and lots of pictures throughout their stay. Please let me know about any dietary restrictions, special routines, or concerns around other dogs so I can make reasonable accommodations. My goal is to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind while you’re away! I work from home, so your pup will have plenty of company and will not be left alone or unattended during their stay. I also don’t like sitting for long periods of time, which means lots of opportunities for playtime, attention, walks, and activity throughout the day! My Rover calendar is kept up to date, and if anything unexpected comes up that could affect your pup’s stay, I will communicate with you as soon as possible. I live in a home with a fully fenced yard in a safe neighborhood. Your pup will never be left unattended, and their safety, comfort, and well-being will always be my top priority. I want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home, while also giving you peace of mind knowing your pup is in caring and attentive hands.

“Alexandra provided a positive and easy dog-sitting experience overall. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and communication was clear when needed. She sent an update with a photo when I asked, which I appreciated. She’s reliable and flexible with scheduling, which made everything stress-free. Overall, I’d recommend Alexandra to anyone looking for a dependable dog sitter.”

“Jiminy started wagging his tail right away. That is the best sign for a dog mom. Marcella sent photo plus her house house is in a very good location for the west Valley.”

About: I got my first dog when I was 5 and it was my responsibility to feed, wash, and care for her. I’m an animal lover who currently has two small senior dogs (Maltese and silky terrier) as well as one cat (grey tabby). On top of the animal mom title, I have three little ones of my own. They love animals as much as their mom! My husband has a police officer brother who has trained k9’s his whole life and has tons of experience with obedience and training tactics. Daniel has learned from his brother a lifetime of knowledge and experience with all breeds of dogs after training German shepherds and labs primarily. We won’t train your dog, but we have the ability to teach and handle all kinds of fur babies (big or small). Since I’m a stay at home mom, I can board cats and dogs as needed. Our animals love other pets and are really friendly. Dogs shower weekly and take monthly flea medicine so they are always clean. I have a house with a fenced backyard and room to roam inside. Since we live in Woodland Hills where wild animals are seen every week (skunks, rabbits, raccoons, opossums, coyotes, etc.) we don’t let the animals or kids to be out without an adult. We take extra precautions to be safe and never alone. It’s a family home where pets are part of our family and so will your fur baby. P.S: We also don’t have cages or crates.
About: I’ve always loved animals and have been house sitting as well as animal sitting for 11 years I’ve watched groups as big as 6 and less as well my family at one pint had 2 cats 2 German Shepard’s and a multipoo now we have 2 terriers a multipoo and 1 Shepard. I love all animals genuinely and trust me when i say they’ll always receive all of my attention and care! I’m also a certified security guard so please trust that safety is number one always! I have open availability and am flexible and willing to do multiple nights as well as multiple dogs don’t hesitate to contact me I love cats as well and am available for that as well. I will be available for over night stays or to watch them during the day I would be able to provide runs walks and would be giving them my full attention in my apartment complex there will be a dog park as we as many popular hiking trials as far as their food I would be taking notes as for what you would like me to provide and for the time they usually eat I know each animal is different but they will receive nothing but love when in my care.
“Very nice family, wolf spent the whole day there and played with the other animals they had. We got happy pup update pics. We know he had a great time, the minute he got home he took 2 sips of water and passed out for the rest of the night!”

“Brittany is great! We had never used a sitter or taken our dog to doggy daycare before so we were a little nervous, but Brittany responded quickly, sent multiple pictures throughout the day, and our dog loved her. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Our nervous little puppy Thor really enjoyed his time with Susan. It sounds like it took a day for him to warm up to Susan and the other dogs, since he can sometimes be fearful, but the next day he was running up the driveway, excited to return. He'd come home so tired from playing with the other dogs. Susan seems to have a few dogs there every day, which ended up being great socialization for Thor. She has a big backyard for them to play in, and a patio area inside for them to spend time when it's too hot out. She treated Thor well, and we look forward to having him stay with her again soon.”
“I had such a great experience with Kiya! He was incredibly accommodating, kind, and trustworthy from the start. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their dog!”

“I was SO pleased with Thomas. My “dog” which was actually a 6 week old lamb, was well cared for. He was feed, and diaper was always dry when I picked him up. He sent me pictures of Winnie as well, and he was given lots of attention by Thomas and his adorable kids. I’d highly recommend to try him out. He was very accommodating, flexible, and such a pleasant person.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
