Home away from home!

Hi, we're Karrie and Andreas! We have a fun, loving, and safe home, and someone is home full time. Your friendly pet will be treated like family in our suburban home with a fenced yard. Day care and overnight boarding are welcome. We've had dogs most of our lives, from small dogs to large dogs, from puppies to senior dogs. We've navigated the corporate life, and we understand the challenge of finding a good place for your pet when you need to leave for vacation or work. We've experienced the good & bad of daycare and boarding, so we know what's important to you and your pet. We provide a reliable and safe option for your pet's home away from home, where they can have a play date with some new friends.

Andrew and Karrie are wonderful hosts. My dog was well taken care of, and they were open to communicating with us while our dog was under their care. I recommend them without hesitation and will use them again.

Andrew and Karrie took really good care of our dog Arcane. They sent us daily pictures and updates of how he was doing. They seemed to really care and calmed our concerns when we did our meet and greet. We highly recommend them as your next puppy sitter.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home for our dog, Kali. After multiple stays, we can honestly say they are an incredibly caring, loving, and responsible couple who treat every dog as if it were their own. Every time we dropped Kali off for what we jokingly called her “Summer Camp,” we left with complete peace of mind. We never once worried about her happiness, safety, or well being because we knew she was surrounded by people who genuinely loved and cared for her. It’s such a rare feeling to find someone you trust that completely with a member of your family. Kali always came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for, which says everything about the love and attention she received during her stay. Sadly, this was our last visit because we’re moving out of the area, and saying goodbye is much harder than we expected. We will truly miss them, and so will Kali. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog with genuine love, kindness, and professionalism, look no further. They are simply the best, and we recommend them wholeheartedly.

Andrew and Karrie are communicative, personable and dog lovers. Lots of plants out back for sniffing.

Andrew and Karrie were wonderful. I was so thrilled to be able to have my sweetheart, Nala, stay with them as I was out if town for a couple weeks. Nala clearly was well taken care of, was able to be with playmates and I was so happy to receive little updates and photos while I was away. Their photos helped me see how calm and happy my senior pup was. I appreciate everything and would not hesitate to leave my dog in their care again. I know Nala would be very comfortable. Thank You again. -Peg

We cannot say enough about how happy Chloe comes home from being with Andrew and Karrie. I actually thought she'd want to stay. Cannot say enough good things about Andrew and Karrie. I know will miss them this week.

BEFORE YOUR BOOK - Are WE a fit for YOUR pet? We have a clean, pet-friendly home with a garden setting in the yard, where pets have free access inside and out to be themselves, play, and relax. We understand dirt happens, but in order to keep our home cleanly pet-friendly, our expectation is that your dog is POTTY TRAINED to use grass or dirt outside and has good indoor pet manners. IF YOUR PET routinely potties on concrete, sidewalks, your patio, your carpet, your floor, puppy pads inside your home, or requires YOU to walk them every two hours because they will have an accident on their own, they are NOT a fit for us, or the other pets we care for. PLEASE NOTE: IF your pet uses human areas intentionally inside or outside (patio carpet, sidewalk, indoors), you will be charged $25 PER "ACCIDENT" cleaning fee.

Safety, trust & environment

We love all dogs, but in order to keep play and territory safe for everyone, we may have to limit the number of male dogs we will host at any one time, and we do not accept un-spayed or non-neutered pets. Our goal is a peaceful, fun, relaxing stay for your pet, so you have peace of mind while you're away that they are happy, well-loved, and safe at their Home Away from Home. We supervise all play activity, and all feedings are separated and supervised.

A typical day

We start with a trumpet of Revelie at OH-Dark-30. All dogs line up for inspection with shiny tags and sparkly eyes. We proceed to calisthenics, obstacle course, and then feeding time in the mess hall before KP. JUST KIDDING... :-D Some of the dogs start with the neighborhood squirrel bark-off. The squirrel must love it because he shows up every day for it. To calm down from the excitement there's doggie yoga on the patio followed by trotting around the yard sniffing, doing doggie stuff, some digging, and some lizard hunting. After breakfast there's playing, more chasing, napping in the sun. We stay indoors when it's too warm, and then playtime resumes as the day cools off and shade returns to the garden. There is plenty to explore, and Fritzi is a great host to entertain and show everyone to the fun!
