About: I’ve always had at least two dogs in the house, and have always loved caring for cats! I have plenty of experience taking care of horses and chickens, and I’m no stranger to taking care of many pets at one time, for example, 3 large dogs, 3 cats and 3 horses at the same time! I have a super open availability this summer, with more than enough time for late nights, early mornings, and overnight work! I have reliable transportation and a super free schedule to care for furry friends! I live in a condo with two elderly chihuahuas (almost 15 years old!) named Glory and Hero, as well as a super loving mutt rescue named Mysti! I love going for long walks with Mysti, and taking my chihuahuas for nice short walks as they get older. Making sure Mysti gets the proper exercise and attention is super important as she is a medium sized dog in a condo, as well as accommodating my older dogs as they age.
“Jeff did an excellent job taking care of our dog Dexter. Followed every instruction left for him and was very caring with him. If I ever need his services again, I’d definitely reach back out!”

“Sara is an excellent pet sitter! We entrust her with the care of our senior dog, Jay. He is treated as if he were her pet. It is a great pleasure to have her take such good care of our pets, and I greatly appreciate her thoughtfulness. Having Sara care for my pets is everything that I look for in a pet sitter. She's warm, friendly, and responsible.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and spend quality time with their pets. I’m patient, responsible, and pay close attention to each pet’s needs and routine. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. Whether you need last-minute help or consistent weekly care, I’m reliable and responsive and will make sure your pet gets the attention and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special care needs. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment and make sure pets are always supervised and secure. I’m attentive to behavior and body language to ensure they feel comfortable, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve always loved dogs and have cared for dogs of all sizes. At 5 years old I got a puppy, who is now a medium sized pitbull-corgi-smorgasbord mix of breeds. While of course having help at a young age, I have cared for, fed, walked, and played with him for the majority of my life. Additionally my father had two small dogs and one larger that I partially cared for and walked. I’ve cared for multiple of my friends dogs, and over one summer went to Arizona to take care of my mothers friends two larger dogs for a couple weeks, and loved spending time with and caring for/playing with them! So I can say for certain between that fact and my very flexible schedule I would not mind longer term stays to take care of your pet/regular check ins! I also love going for walks, so I would love to walk any dog even energetic ones that want to go for long walks or run a little! I currently do not have a solid job, as I just graduated high school so my schedule is extremely flexible, and I am available to show up last minute in most cases! I can not have dogs nor cats in my own home to not risk the safety of my own pets, however I am ok with staying in/checking on your pets in your home! I’d love to send frequent photos of your pets, so definitely tell me if it’s not something you want! I want you to be assured your dogs/cats are being loved and cared for
About: I have been caring for dogs since a young age, regularly helping friends and neighbors with pet sitting and dog walking. I also gained experience working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in Sacramento, where I provided reliable, attentive care for approximately one year. After relocating to Los Angeles to continue my college education, I brought that same dedication and passion for animal care with me. I am currently studying to become a certified personal trainer, so I have plenty of free time to check in for a potty break or to take your pup on a nice long walk. I am free during the week after 10am and can be available for most weekends. I always want to make sure that the pet feels the most comfortable in their own home. Whether they are excited to see me or may be more hesitant, I always stay patient and meet them where they are at.
About: I have always had the responsibility of taking care of my pets growing up. Being dependable has led to family and friends relying on me to take care of their pets when needed. For the past 6 years I have been working as a veterinary technician. Because of my experience, I am well educated with medication administration and properly caring for animals that need special assistant. I currently work about 30 hours a week. I work later into the day so my mornings are free to care for animals. I am also free on the weekends. I am able to walk, feed, administer medicine, and give love to all animals of all sizes and ages. I understand that some pets just need company and love and I want to make sure they feel safe and cared for while their family is away.
“Cayley is absolutely amazing. We had never tried Rover before and our family was nervous of the thought of hiring a petsitter that wasn’t family. However after getting to know Cayley, we quickly became so comfortable and trusting in her work! After coming back from vacation, we can tell how loved and well cared for our furry-loved one has experienced. She will take great pics and nice detailed descriptions of how your pet is doing which will give you peace of mind. Overall, (like previously said) Cayley is exactly who you need to take care of your pets! :)”

About: For as long as I can remember I’ve had pets in the house. Mainly dogs and cats. I have a lot of energy so going to the park and making sure your pet sees plenty of daylight won’t be an issue. I am also not against having dogs or cats on the furniture but I will always respect a clients request to maintain any kind boundaries already in place! I am currently trying to take this on full time so you can contact me whenever! After reaching out to me I will notify in message about any changes, appointments or errands that might have an impact on schedule. I live in Reseda so the environment is pretty calm and perfect for a dog or two. Id like to say I’m pretty good at communication so feel free to ask anything, anytime!

“This was my first time using Rover, and Alexandra was sure to make me feel confident about my choice. She was very informative and very communicative. I will definitely be using her for a future Rover Experiences for my boys. Thank you again!”

About: Hi, I'm Ever and I have provided pet care to family and neighbors' pets since I can remember! More recently, my father's 3 dogs and fish! I have also partnered with organizations to provide workplace visits where therapy animals, including dogs, can interact with employees. I currently work at home so I am available throughout the week and weekends, day and night. I support urgent and immediate requests as well! My mother and father were in wheelchairs their entire lives, so it was important to ensure safety mechanisms that would benefit both our family and pets. I will be able to provide similar, if not more, support for your pets, home and family!
“Our family is so thankful for Luis! He is professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. Luis has helped us with both walking and training our golden doodle and we highly recommend him!”

“Crishia is very attentive and caring! She is very good at playing and comforting the dog even though my dog is very energetic. Definitely will be booking her again whenever I need my dog to walk.”

About: 🥰 Now retired from Corporate America- I finally get to do what I love!! If you’re looking for Quality, Responsible and Experienced care for your pets- look no further! I have 45+ years experience with dogs, cats and horses. 🐴 🐈 🐶 Prior Volunteer @Agoura Animal Shelter I’ve been in love with pets since I was born. I’ve had many dogs over the years. I was raised with Dobermans, and had 2 of my own as an adult, in addition to a German Shepherd, Husky, Lab mix, 2 Min Pins and now, a Terrier/mix rescued from the meat trade in So. Korea. I’ve had one or more cats at a time since the day I was born (feral), and at one point, we rescued a pregnant kitty that had 4 kittens, which we kept and all lived long and cherished lives. My last kitty, “Little Girl”, was found by the grooms at the barn @ 3 weeks old. She was so wild, that she chewed the nipple off the bottle, and the Vet said it would never work! She recently passed at 19 years old, from CKD/Hyperthyroidism, which we both valiantly fought for 4 yrs. She was my soul cat- that I will miss for the rest of my life.💔 I’m an Equestrian- Horses are my passion! I’ve competed and owned horses for over 30 years, and have extensive knowledge of their care. I’m Insured and Pet 1st Aid/CPR Certified. I have experience medicating pets (ie:cats with Hyperthyroidism/CKD, etc dogs with pancreatitis, etc). Specialize in Senior pets. I know what it’s like to have to leave your beloved fur-babies home, especially if they aren’t feeling well! Whether they’re in tip top health, or in need of a little extra attention due to a medical condition, You can rest assured, that they will have the best care! I’m home full time now, and so available to meet the commitment and responsibilities of caring for your special fur-babies. Because feeding/walking and playing take time and attention- and every pet has its own unique and individual needs, sometimes they just need a little extra love and companionship❤️ Safety is my #1 priority! I will always ensure that your pets are safe, your home is secure and there is nothing within reach that could cause them harm. Additionally, walks are always done considering the environment, other pets and their proximity to your pet and the demeanor of both. No risks are ever taken.

We couldn’t be happier with choosing Mariela to walk Kali. Kali, absolutely loved her long walk. Not only did she come home happy and tired (the perfect combo for an active young dog), but we also got a bunch of great photos throughout the walk that made us feel completely comfortable with our decision to use Mariela for walking our dog. It’s clear that Mariela truly cares about the dogs she walks, Kali warmed up to her right away, which says a lot. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the updates were thoughtful and reassuring. If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive who will treat your pup like their own, look no further. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
