This was the second time I had Sierra review my dog, Bodhi. She was on time, came on short notice, and sent a pic of my dog chilling on his blanket. Very happy with her service and would recommend her to anyone.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I got my first puppy at six years old, and since then I haven’t been able to imagine a life without animals. I’ve cared for trained and untrained dogs, playful puppies, senior pups who need more assistance and everything in between. I have also been around kitties with all different personalities and needs. While my professional pet care experience has reached almost two years, I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals and I have yet to meet a pet I couldn’t love. I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I am currently a student who is also completing a CNA course for the duration of the summer. My schedule is open for your pets besides my allotted class time which is on Tuesday's, Thursdays and Saturdays at 4.5-6 hours at a time. Since I will be gone for quite some time during the day, I would love to tire them out however they need it. Any other day of the week I would be happy to spend the whole day with your furry friends! In my home or yours, I will create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your loved ones. I am experienced in adapting to each pet’s unique needs, personality, and routine. I also believe that communication is key, so I will keep you updated with regular messages, photos, and check ins to ensure you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind while providing your pet with the care, attention, and affection they deserve.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog and cat lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. Having grown up around dogs and cats, now raising a puppy of my own. I understand how important patience, consistency, and genuine care are when it comes to pets. I treat every dog like family and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether your pup or kitty loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or just a calm companion, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve :). I’m currently only part-time, my shifts are no longer than 6 hrs, and I work about 4x a week. Which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets. I wake up early and can provide morning feedings, giving medication, and regular checkups throughout the day. Pets are never left alone for extended periods of time. As a dog owner, I’m experienced with daily pet care including feeding, exercise, and playtime. My dog enjoy spending time in our secured backyard, where they can run around and play safely. I prioritize a clean environment and attentive care to make sure your pet is comfortable and happy.

This was our family’s first time using a dog sitter. I found Lisa by the great reviews I read online. She responded in a very timely manner when inquiring on her services. She also came by and meet our dogs before we left town so the dogs can meet her and she even took them for a walk. During our whole vacation she kept us up to date with how the dogs were doing, she even went above and beyond by cleaning up after the dogs and picking up around the house. I cannot express how grateful we are for Lisa and her service and we are looking forward to using her again anytime we need a dog sitter.

About: By working as a volunteer at the Ventura County Animal Shelter for over three years, I have gained lots of experience working with dogs and cats. Through the volunteer program, I have received multiple levels of professional training to work with dogs of all kinds, including fearful or reactive ones, and have passed assessments to qualify as an experienced handler. Although I am unable to keep dogs or cats in my home, I have always loved animals, and have worked privately as a pet sitter in addition to my experience as an animal shelter volunteer. I am currently on summer vacation, so my schedule is quite open until I go to college in September. Even then, I plan to come home frequently on weekends and school breaks, though my availability will become more limited in the fall. When I am at your home with your pet(s), I guarantee that they will receive 100% of my attention and care. Spending time with animals is my favorite thing to do, but I also take the responsibility seriously and will ensure that all of their needs are met and they are feeling safe and happy until you come home to them.

I definitely recommend Ekaterina and Luben if you are trying to find some help. They’re awesome!

About: I have years of experience caring for pets of all ages, including providing senior care. I’ve even stayed overnight at clients’ homes to provide care and comfort for their pets, ensuring they feel safe and loved when their owners are away. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but I am available to visit in the evenings after work. I’m happy to provide as many visits over the weekends to ensure your pet is well cared for and happy. I do not bring pets into my home to maintain a calm and comfortable environment for my own two cats. Instead, I care for pets in their own homes, following all directions given to me. I follow safety protocols, provide plenty of love and attention, and maintain a calm, secure space to ensure your pet feels at ease and well cared for. I’ll also take dogs for walks and visits to the park for exercise and play.

About: As a lifelong dog lover with hands-on dog sitting experience, I’ve cared for everything from rowdy puppies to sweet senior dogs who need medication and extra patience. I’ve owned small breeds like tiny terriers and Shih Tzus, and I currently have an 8-year-old gentle giant Newfie named Willow, so I’m comfortable with both small and large dogs at every stage of life. I’m attentive to routines, energy levels, and special needs, and I always aim to make dogs feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m often invited back as a regular sitter, which reflects the trust I build with both pets and their families! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because caring for others is already part of my everyday life. As a mom and pet owner, I’m used to structuring my day around routines like walks, feeding times, play, and quiet time. I naturally build my schedule around responsibility and consistency, which allows me to give pets reliable, attentive care that feels calm, seamless, and stress-free. When I care for pets in your home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions closely, like feeding, walks, litter or yard care, and any medications; while also giving them attention and affection based on their unique personality. I treat your home with respect and keep clean, and I am always available to send updates as often as you’d like so you know your pet is comfortable, safe and doing great!

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
