We LOVE Randi!!! She takes great care of Ruda, even taking her to play at her house with her dogs before it after her walk, if I want. But she always walks her, which she needs for exercise, not just babysits. We couldn't be happier. She is walking her twice a week. I wish I'd found her sooner!

Trevor took excellent care of our 75lbs dog while we were away. He kept her food and water bowls full, gave her meds daily and took her on 2 big walks a day. Would definitely contact him again the next time we need someone to take care of our dog!

About: Hello. My name is Veronica. I live close to Pleasant Valley High School in Camarillo. I took a break from dog sitting, walking, etc. the past several years as my job required me to be out of town in office on several days. My office work has since changed. I now work only part time (gradually easing into retirement) and work remotely from home. When my beloved Dexter passed away, I rescued my current dog, Dakota. Unfortunately, due to his traumatic start in life, he does not get along with other dogs; therefore, I can no longer watch other pet parents' dogs in my home nor can I stay overnight in their homes. However, I am available to dogsit during the day in your home and also walk your fur babies. I do love to be outdoors. I am an enthusiastic animal lover (the reason for my vegetarian lifestyle). I especially love dogs. I am very active. I regularly hike trails and walk daily. I will text or e-mail you constant updates including photos of your loved one(s) while in my care. About this sitter: I am a passionate animal lover.......the reason I am a vegetarian. I especially love dogs and could not imagine life without at least one dog in my family. I love being outdoors and lead a very active lifestyle.....canyon hikes, beach walks, and neighborhood walks/jogs. My current best friend, Dakota certainly keeps me moving! I have had at least two dogs in my family my entire life....and as many as four dogs for many years. My last two senior dogs passed away several years ago, leaving me with only one dog, my Boxer, Dexter, who then passed away almost 3 years ago due to advanced heart failure at age 11. Within a month later, I rescued Dakota, a labrador. I couldn't imagine my home without at least one dog sharing it with me.

About: We're an animal-loving family, offering calm, reliable care for animals of all ages and sizes. I was mom to a Belgian Malinois her whole life and grew up with cats. While we can't have pets of our own right now, caring for others' furry friends is our happy compromise. My schedule is flexible. I work from home full time, 5 days a week and can therefore provide regular potty breaks, stimulation, and cuddles as needed. There is also a dog park and facilities to wash dogs 500 feet from my home. Whether you have high-energy dogs that need regular exercise and stimulation, or low-key cats or dogs that just want naps and cuddles, I adjust to meet the needs of your furry friends. If you're comfortable, I can take your doggy on short, local hikes or adventures. Or ride around town as my errand companion. If you have more low-key dogs or cats that just want a quiet, calm place to relax and receive snuggles, my home is just the place for peaceful decompression.

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 16, so I have years of experience with animals of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies and playful kittens to older pets who need extra patience and love. I currently have two dogs and a cat, and I’ve raised them since they were young, so I understand the attention, training, and care every animal needs. I’m an athlete and love going on walks, so I can keep up with high-energy dogs or take long, leisurely strolls with older pets. I’m also comfortable handling feisty or shy pets, and I always focus on building trust, keeping pets safe, and making sure they feel happy and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or just companionship, I treat every animal like family and adapt to their unique personality and needs. I’m willing to go the extra mile (literally and figuratively) to make sure your pets feel cared for, safe, and comfortable. I just finished school and currently work as a waitress for about 4 hours a day, which leaves me with plenty of free time. I’m looking to spend those off-hours doing something I genuinely love caring for pets. My schedule is really flexible, so I’m able to fit in walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the day and week. Whether you need regular visits or last-minute help, I’m happy to make it work around my shifts. When I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible so their pet feels safe and comfortable. I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any special instructions you leave. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality whether they’re playful, shy, or extra cuddly and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and reassurance while you’re away. I also respect your space by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly how you left it. When caring for pets in my own home, I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can play and explore safely. My dogs are kept in my garage during visits so your dog has full freedom to roam in the yard or, if they are an indoor dog, stay inside the house comfortably. I already have two dogs and a cat, so I’m used to managing different personalities and making sure everyone feels safe and happy. Walks, playtime, and lots of love are always part of the day. No matter where your pet is, my goal is always the same: to keep them safe, happy, and loved just like they’re part of my own family.

About: Hello! I'm a professional dog handler with 4+ years of experience at a dog daycare and boarding facility and a lifetime of nonprofessional pet care (Currently own one pup). I normally manage large, mixed groups of 30 or more dogs daily at my day job. This includes hands on-experience for almost all breeds and sizes, from Shih Tzus to St. Bernards! I am confident and comfortable maintaining a safe, fun environment for your furry friends to enjoy while you are away on your next vacation or outing. Both in my professional work and a lifelong passion for animals, I've learned that great pet care is never one-size-fits-all. Many pets thrive with personalized, one-on-one attention, and my approach is always tailored to the individual pet which includes experience with: - puppies - senior care - disabled or special needs - reactive or anxious pets - high energy dog breeds The core of my pet care philisophy is that the best experience comes from three things - trust, transparency, and communication. I'm always happy to set up a meet / greet so we can make sure everyone is a right fit ☺️ I am also an aspiring pet photographer, so if you want me to try to take some high quality portraits of your pets I would be willing to at no extra charge. Note: I am also open to cats or other small animals, upon inquiry. I work at my day job in the late afternoon for a few hours so I have most of the day to hang out with your pawed pals! I am close to all of the fun places a dog loves - the dog park, the beach, etc. Whatever your pet's passions are, we will make a day of it (or multiple days if you want!) I provide the skills and tools to help give you the peace of mind that your pup is safe and in good hands while you're away. My background includes: - Medication administration (No IV) - Proven handling techniques for conflict prevention and de-escalation to keep dogs calm and happy. - Light first-aid (cuts, bites, hot spots, etc.) - Allergy Mediation (food, environnment)

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
