“Sheena took such good care of Mango. She went above and beyond most Rover hosts we have asked to take care of Mango in the past. She sent us so many videos and photos of Mango to us. Our Mango loved her kids and really enjoyed her time with them. In addition, it was a rainy day and Sheena washed and dried Mango’s sweater and also made sure Mango was dry from the rain. Would highly recommend and would book again.”

“Ashley and her family were more than accommodating for Murphy and I almost felt guilty picking him up. He fell in love with their dogs especially Gus who he played with in the backyard running laps until exhaustion. He made himself right at home and they treated him like part of the family. I couldn’t imagine anyone else’s watching Murphy while I’m in the area.”

“This was my first time leaving my new girl with anyone. I was nervous because she is not good with other dogs. I was referred to Neda by my neighbor who also had a pitty breed and was so happy to have found her. Neda was so accommodating. She made Rosie feel at home and sent me multiple pictures and updates all 4 days of my trip. She cuddled and loved on her and made a nervous experience a great one. Thank you Neda!! We will see you again, I am sure! I would highly recommend Neda to anyone.”

“We had a great experience with Jenna. She is a great communicator and sent updates on our dog. Ours dog has a couple of health issues and she was very attentive to those details. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend!”

“Erika was fantastic! She was willing to take on a mischievous puppy when no one else wanted her. She took her on outings and had faith in her. I believe Marley came home better behaved. I will definitely use Erika again. Plus she was super responsive whenever we contacted her.”

I could tell Nala was very happy and at ease in her stay with Maureen—which means peace of mind for us! Definitely recommend for a home that is loving and dependable!”

Gave him 3-4 walks during the day, played with him and took such great care of him! We will always leave our dog with Rajarshi! Rajarshi’s background and experience in fostering dogs makes him one of the most experienced & well rounded pet sitter who you can trust blindfoldedly! I would say that anyone and everyone can trust him with their pets! I wish I could give him 10 stars ⭐️ but 5 is the maximum we can give so giving him 5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Cat caregivers near you - Somis
Prices are estimates per visit for 1 cat. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: I currently have two cats, a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old, and I’ve raised them both since they were tiny kittens. One of them definitely has a feistier personality, so I’m very comfortable handling cats who are a little spicy, shy, or selective about their affection. I understand cat body language, personal space, and how to create a calm, safe environment where they feel in control. I truly love animals, and I treat every cat with the same patience, care, and affection I give my own. Whether your kitty wants playtime, cuddles, or just someone who knows how to respect their vibes, I’m here to make sure they feel happy and secure while you’re away.
About: Dog, cat, parrot and fish owner for 10+ years (and a couple frogs as well 🐸 ) Patient and attentive, I want to give your animals the love they deserve while you’re away!! I work full time, so am available for drop ins and walks in the late afternoon/evenings and weekends! Happy to book last minute to meet your needs:) I am attentive and prioritize my animals’ comfort and safety, and pay close attention to the needs they are communicating. Your baby will be well cared for, the way I’d treat my own 🥰

“Kathleen arrived on time, devoted the full half hour to Kalea. Our dog is nervous having recently had surgery and is in pain. Kalea opened up, trusting Kathleen. She was able to get massaging and some deeper rubs even some prom moves.”

About: I’m a first-year college student exploring nursing or veterinary medicine, and animal care has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been volunteering at VCAS for almost a year, where I’ve learned proper handling techniques, safety procedures, and how to care for cats, dogs, and small animals like bunnies. I also have several years of experience helping care for my neighbors’ pets, including feeding, walking, and providing companionship. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable working with pets of different temperaments, always prioritizing their safety and comfort. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I naturally build my days around feeding, walks, playtime, downtime, and lots of affection so pets feel comfortable and at ease. I’ve cared for my 10-year-old Maltipoo since she was a puppy, which has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and gentle care. I’m generally available Monday through Saturday and make sure every pet feels loved and cared for during my time with them! I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following their routines and instructions closely to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable. If medications are needed, I make sure they are given properly and on time. I also ensure pets get appropriate exercise, whether indoors or outdoors, and provide attentive supervision at all times. My goal is to create a safe, positive experience for both the pet and their owner. I’m always happy to share photos and/or video updates while I’m there so owners can feel at ease!

About: I've cared for cats with a variety of personalities, from playful and affectionate to shy and independent. I know every cat is unique, so I take the time to earn their trust and make sure they feel comfortable in my care. I'll follow your cat's routine closely, provide fresh food and water, keep the litter box clean, and make sure they receive plenty of attention or space, if that's what they prefer. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident your cat is happy and well cared for while you're away.

“Ali was so fantastic. She was communicative, fast responding, kept us updated with photos, went out of her way to meet us beforehand. Truly a great experience and can’t wait to, hopefully, use her service again!!”

“Maureen saved the day! I had to leave my kitty for 2 weeks and couldn't have asked for a more attentive sitter. The daily updates and pictures reassured me he was in good hands. Definitely will be using her again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of cats since middle school! Friends and family have always been recommending people to me, so I have more and more opportunities to make long-lasting connections with some truly wonderful people! I have absolutely no problem with cleaning up cat vomit, cleaning out the litter box, or administering any oral medications your cat needs! Cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities are always welcome!

“Melissa made it so we could enjoy our vacation without a worry. This was our cat's first time being left at home alone for an extended period and it couldn't have gone better thanks to Melissa's help. Communication was excellent!”

“Trey was a life saver! He took great care of our two dogs for two drop in visits. He even arrived a few minutes early! He was very communicative, sent photos and gave me updates which is always a huge plus!! I will definitely be booking with Trey in the future. If you need someone dependable who will take great care of your pups, book Trey!”

“My dog has loved the experience of being taken care of by Tiantian and her loving dog Ivan. We continue to have daycare with her since everytime we go to drop him, he is overly excited to go and start playing with her dog. Appreciate her great care!”

About: I started dog sitting in highschool for friends and families. I am now the go to sitter for all of my family pets (caring for 5 dogs at the same time). I am a registered nurse turned temporary stay at home mom! I am a very nurturing person and I would love to give your pet a kind a loving home while you are away. I currently work 100% remote Monday-Friday. I care for my two toddlers and my own 7 year old miniature poodle (a kind a gentle dog). I drop my kiddos off locally to a part time preschool on Mondays and Wednesdays and I drop them off to childcare alternating Tuesday or Thursday. I have a fenced yard that I keep clean and mowed. I often work from my backyard in the afternoons so that kids and my dog can play supervised outside.

“Nancy was very nice and sweet to our babies. Soon after we left them, the photos showed them already very comfortable. When we picked them up, they were relaxed and not in a hurry to leave. 😄We will definitely book Nancy again when we are in the area.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was about 10. I took care of my doggies as a little girl as well as an adult, (feed, train, love, bathe). They were a sweet part of my family. I’ve also had a couple cats and birds to love on as well. I’m currently a stay at home momma so I have extra time to walk and play with your fur baby. My family loves dogs and kitties but we don’t have one of our own yet. So the opportunity to love and care for your doggie and/or kitty makes us so happy. Just having your furry at home with us and living life with us is so exciting. We have a couple beautiful nature walks that we would love to walk them on and a fun dog park about 5 min from our house. We also would be open to and love to care for your hamster, guinea pig, bird, snake, etc. Message me for prices on those types of animals.
“Mariana and Mark were so great! We needed a local option to be with Zoey when our usual care wasn’t available, and was pleasantly at ease meeting the two of them. Mariana offered a meet & greet ahead of our daycare date and Zoey loved the space and toys they had. They are thorough, responded very quickly, and we felt comfortable leaving Zoey with them.”

“My boys LOVED spending the day with him! I knew the moment I picked them up, because they were happy to see me, but not desperate. (Happy like you'd expect after a walk, instead of desperate like you'd expect after a grooming.) If I ever need dog sitting in the area again, I'm absolutely bringing them back!”

“I left Sully my 4.5 month puppy with Melissa for the first time leaving him with anyone. When I dropped him off after meeting Melissa I was confident he would be well taken care of. Sully had an amazing time with Melissa’s 1 year old play puppy & when i came to pick him I wasn’t sure he wanted to come home : ) There is nothing better than knowing you have someone like Melissa to care for you dog when you need to be away from home. One of her reviewer said 10/10. I agree! Thank you Melissa for taking such good care of Sully!”

“Ashley exceeded all my expectations. She’s kind, communicative and took time to understand my dog and make sure he was comfortable. She sent pictures and updates throughout the day.”

“Jana was so welcoming and nurturing! She was so accommodating especially on last notice! Archie made himself at home so quickly and was so tuckered out when we picked him up! I recommend Jana and will be using her again in the future!”

“We had a great experience with Brittany watching Peanut. She was attentive, caring, and made sure to send picture updates throughout the day. Seeing Peanut happy and comfortable made us feel completely at ease. We’re so grateful for the care she provided and would definitely use her again!”

“Leo is doing great because of Meredith. He was on the verge of no longer being welcome at doggy day care facility. The can’t believe how much Leo has improved. They said drops are so much better, with Meredith . Leo is well behaved with her, unlike when with me.”

I am home 24/7, so you can trust that your babies are being attended to during their visit. That also means my schedule is very flexible and I am open to unique situations as well. My babies freely roam my home, but are very disciplined. They’re taken potty/walked ideally every 2 hours. Whatever my client needs, I will make sure I do my upmost to make it happen.

“Trevor took excellent care of our 75lbs dog while we were away. He kept her food and water bowls full, gave her meds daily and took her on 2 big walks a day. Would definitely contact him again the next time we need someone to take care of our dog!”
About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 16, so I have years of experience with animals of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies and playful kittens to older pets who need extra patience and love. I currently have two dogs and a cat, and I’ve raised them since they were young, so I understand the attention, training, and care every animal needs. I’m an athlete and love going on walks, so I can keep up with high-energy dogs or take long, leisurely strolls with older pets. I’m also comfortable handling feisty or shy pets, and I always focus on building trust, keeping pets safe, and making sure they feel happy and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or just companionship, I treat every animal like family and adapt to their unique personality and needs. I’m willing to go the extra mile (literally and figuratively) to make sure your pets feel cared for, safe, and comfortable. I just finished school and currently work as a waitress for about 4 hours a day, which leaves me with plenty of free time. I’m looking to spend those off-hours doing something I genuinely love caring for pets. My schedule is really flexible, so I’m able to fit in walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the day and week. Whether you need regular visits or last-minute help, I’m happy to make it work around my shifts. When I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible so their pet feels safe and comfortable. I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any special instructions you leave. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality whether they’re playful, shy, or extra cuddly and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and reassurance while you’re away. I also respect your space by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly how you left it. When caring for pets in my own home, I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can play and explore safely. My dogs are kept in my garage during visits so your dog has full freedom to roam in the yard or, if they are an indoor dog, stay inside the house comfortably. I already have two dogs and a cat, so I’m used to managing different personalities and making sure everyone feels safe and happy. Walks, playtime, and lots of love are always part of the day. No matter where your pet is, my goal is always the same: to keep them safe, happy, and loved just like they’re part of my own family.
About: Hello. My name is Veronica. I live close to Pleasant Valley High School in Camarillo. I took a break from dog sitting, walking, etc. the past several years as my job required me to be out of town in office on several days. My office work has since changed. I now work only part time (gradually easing into retirement) and work remotely from home. When my beloved Dexter passed away, I rescued my current dog, Dakota. Unfortunately, due to his traumatic start in life, he does not get along with other dogs; therefore, I can no longer watch other pet parents' dogs in my home nor can I stay overnight in their homes. However, I am available to dogsit during the day in your home and also walk your fur babies. I do love to be outdoors. I am an enthusiastic animal lover (the reason for my vegetarian lifestyle). I especially love dogs. I am very active. I regularly hike trails and walk daily. I will text or e-mail you constant updates including photos of your loved one(s) while in my care. About this sitter: I am a passionate animal lover.......the reason I am a vegetarian. I especially love dogs and could not imagine life without at least one dog in my family. I love being outdoors and lead a very active lifestyle.....canyon hikes, beach walks, and neighborhood walks/jogs. My current best friend, Dakota certainly keeps me moving! I have had at least two dogs in my family my entire life....and as many as four dogs for many years. My last two senior dogs passed away several years ago, leaving me with only one dog, my Boxer, Dexter, who then passed away almost 3 years ago due to advanced heart failure at age 11. Within a month later, I rescued Dakota, a labrador. I couldn't imagine my home without at least one dog sharing it with me.
About: I am mature, can handle a challenge and I can’t wait to meet new furry friends and I’m so excited to get to know them Early mornings evenings, dinner anytime any day works and whatever days you are cool with me there’s never a day. I’m not free ! ! I take care of them with hair and love and I am willing to spend the night to get to know your pets and I someone you can trust
“Kathleen cared for my elderly pitiful 2-3 times a day for over a month after it had surgery. She was very reliable, communicative and great with following postponed instructions and caring for our dog.”

“We loved working with Sara! She was a great fit for our energetic goldendoodle and sent us updates and pictures every day! We will definitely ask for her help again next time Leo needs some extra walkies!”

About: Does your dog like casual strolls through parks? Me too! Do they like going to beach and dipping in the ocean? Me too! Or do they like snuggling on couch and watching Gardeners World & Northern Exposure??? Me too!!! Let’s be friends!!! 🥹❤️ I have had dogs and cats and other pets mostly my whole life. I have a lot experience caring for friends and family dogs, such as Labradors, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Chihuahuas, Chow-chows, Bichons, Mastiffs, and other mixes. Now that I currently have free time, I would love to care for yours. I have lived with roommates with dogs from Bulldogs, Pitt-bulls, Boxers to Pomeranians. I worked and lived many years on a farm where taking care of three Rottweiler farm dogs at the same time was part of the job description. It did not seem like work at all, because farm life with dogs is absolute bliss. I have an interest in learning about the holistic approach when caring for my dog. I want her to have the most optimal life in the most natural way. I admire Juliette De Baïracli Levy a lot and am currently learning about her work with animals. My approach is friendly yet stern enough for the big furry friends. I love big dogs as I have had lifelong friendships/experience with many Rottweilers and an entire littler of Labradors who are now Seniors. When I was caring for the dogs on the farm, two Rottweilers came as puppies while I was caring for another who was middle to eventually Senior. I would give the Senior medicine. And eventually one of the puppies grew up and got sick and needed medicine too. I believe the Rottweiler is my spirit animal for they always magically show up in my life. <3 My current dog is a big German Shepherd Cattle dog mix, sweetie girl. She is two years old and acts like a big puppy. She is curious with high energy. She is very cute and smart so she tries to test limits, but overall thrives to be a good girl. It makes me proud when I get positive feedback from those that meet her. I am currently working part time as well as studying which allows me to very easily fit in pet care every day in my routine. I am currently unable to share my home for boarding care. I’d be happy to care for them if they need someone present for overnight stays.
About: I have been a pet sitter since I was in middle school and have had the pleasure and opportunity to care for many different furry companions! I am no stranger to administering medications and have pet-sit many different dogs and cats of all sizes and shapes! I am currently a college student who loves caring for all kinds of fur babies! You can be sure I will have plenty of time to play with your pups and kittens to their hearts’ content! I’m still getting used to how this app works with its settings, so if you have any questions about pricing and schedule, shoot me a text so we can discuss it! I'm willing to talk things out if you can't initially afford my rates! ¡También soy fluida en español! My clients will always receive the best care that I can give them. Every animal is different and has different needs, and I am prepared to meet them all! I'll be sure to send pictures and videos regularly of me and your pets having a great time! I'm willing to protect your pets as fiercely as you are, and I will happily administer medications and clean up messes! I take great pleasure and honor in making your best furry friends feel safe and loved!
About: We're an animal-loving family, offering calm, reliable care for animals of all ages and sizes. I was mom to a Belgian Malinois her whole life and grew up with cats. While we can't have pets of our own right now, caring for others' furry friends is our happy compromise. My schedule is flexible. I work from home full time, 5 days a week and can therefore provide regular potty breaks, stimulation, and cuddles as needed. There is also a dog park and facilities to wash dogs 500 feet from my home. Whether you have high-energy dogs that need regular exercise and stimulation, or low-key cats or dogs that just want naps and cuddles, I adjust to meet the needs of your furry friends. If you're comfortable, I can take your doggy on short, local hikes or adventures. Or ride around town as my errand companion. If you have more low-key dogs or cats that just want a quiet, calm place to relax and receive snuggles, my home is just the place for peaceful decompression.
“Jennifer really helped me out when I was in a pinch. She took great care of my dog. She walked the entire 30 minutes and made sure he had water before she left. I plan to use her again in the future.”

About: I have one dog named Loki and he definitely is my fur baby. I have always loved dogs and have watched many of them in my life. I can be paranoid about leaving my dog with other people so I promise I will keep your dog very safe!! Let me know if you have any questions other questions about me! :) I work in a school and am currently off for the summer so I have plenty of extra free time to spend with your dog! I always make sure that collars and harnesses are secure before going on walks! I will always make your pet’s safety my number one priority.
About: Hi there! My name is Lexi. I have extensive animal care experience working for shelters and caring for the pets of family and friends since I was 10 years old. I recently graduated from Chapman University, and am back home in Ventura County! I am more than willing to learn whatever your pet may need for their care, and I am fully dedicated to their wellbeing. I promise to be an attentive and loving caregiver. My schedule is currently fully flexible and able to fit your needs! I keep an organized calendar that tracks my day to day as far in advance as possible. I have a lot of experience walking and caring for both dogs and cats. I will provide your pets with consistent attention and support, and fully intend to use the extent of my time focused on the care that your animals need. I also have experience with more reactive dogs, and believe I am fully capable of handling most situations that come with them.
About: My 400+ hours of experience training shelter dogs make me the perfect caretaker for any breed of dog. Every interaction we have with our dogs teaches them something and I’m dedicated to teaching them the skills they need to be successful: impulse control, leash manners, and confidence. I tailor my sessions to the dog in front of me: their mood, personality, breed, health, and confidence. Seniors, reactive dogs, bullies, giant breeds, pullers, fearful dogs, jumpy, mouthy, and more all okay — I’ll walk anything! I’m a college student freelancing and running a jewelry business between classes. My days are flexible. You can see which days and times I’m free on my calendar. Free on holidays, sometimes with extra charge. For in-house visits: I bring to your home only items you’ve approved: you must let me know if your pet has any food allergies or tendencies to eat certain toys. I can walk your dog, offer training sessions, and give food enrichment like puzzle feeders and lick mats for dogs and cats by your request. I can send in pictures and video. My experience with a variety of cats and dogs has taught me how to read body language and meet an animal where it’s at. For dog walking, I like to bring treats to build and maintain your dog’s obedience on leash. If this is something that aligns with your goals for your dog, I can use your treats or my own (in which case you must inform me of any allergies or intolerances). I strive for a 15 foot distance between the dog I’m walking and any other animals.

I’m available 7 days a week to offer consistent walks, potty breaks, and check-ins so you can confidently plan around dependable care. Every pet and household is different, and I’m also open to additional hours outside this window upon request as I continue expanding my services on Rover. Feel free to reach out if you need a time outside this range as i'm happy to see what I can accommodate. I respect your home and privacy and keep my visits focused on your pet’s care. About: I have loved animals ever since I was a little kid. In high school I did a veterinary internship where I learned the importance of what makes a dog healthy. I owned a little dachshund that was my best friend growing up. Dogs are a wonderful gift! I am currently working part time and so I have plenty of time to play and take care of your pups. Currently in a transition phase before I get married so I have plenty of time on my hands. I am staying at my soon to be parents in law property and they have an acre of land. Plenty of space to play fetch and run around. I also enjoy taking dogs to the beach and parks!
About: Helped take care of a geriatric dog who was incontinent and lost the use of her legs in the last year of her life. I have had animals in my home all my life, from dogs, cats, birds, and lizards. I usually work a couple of days a week for half days at Michaels. I am available for check-ins most mornings and in the afternoons. I live in a condo with tons of space for running around. I have two of my own cats, and any boarders would have to be fine with them. My cats have their space. I respect any habits and boundaries you have at your house for your pet. I can brush and clean up after the pet, and play their favorite game.

“Tiantian was great with our 2 dogs. She met them before, was responsive, had a great setup at her house and sent sone status pictures and a video to let us see our loves.”

“Rajarshi is absolutely amazing! He watched our dog like as if he was his own child! He sent us regular updates with pictures and videos of what our dog was doing during the day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Erin and Ken were great hosts meeting our dog first for compatibility between their dog and our elderly blind dog. They have an enclosed yard for playing and sent us pictures. We didn't know it but our dog passed a week after returning home from heart failure.Recommended.”

“Sara did an amazing job taking care of our Golden Retriever, Ginger, while we were in San Diego. She was incredibly patient and attentive, and she kept us updated with regular photos of Ginger. Every picture showed how happy and well-cared-for our dog was, which gave us peace of mind during our trip. We truly appreciate Sara’s kindness and professionalism, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and loving pet care. Thank you so much, Sara! 🙏🙏”

“She’s really good with my dog. You can tell right from the start that she’s really good with dogs and my felt comfortable the moment she met Stephanie. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog is in good hands. Hard to out a price on peace of mind. She’s fantastic.”

“This was our second time boarding with Chris, and once again, he exceeded expectation…this time for two weeks! We couldn’t be happier with the attention our Frenchie received while staying with him. From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear that he felt completely at ease and right at home. He didn’t even say goodbye before running right inside. Chris maintained our pup’s daily routine…from daily walks and playing soccer at the park, to evening wrestling matches. The regular updates and pics were awesome! We are 100% committed to boarding with Chris going forward and can’t recommend him enough to fellow pet parents looking for someone who treats your dog like family.”

“Marcella is awesome she is a very caring and nurturing individual! She is really great with animals. I will definitely be using her in the future for all my animals! Thank you so much Marcella! 😊”

“Ilona took great care of my two dogs at the last minute! I usually prefer to do a meet and greet, but circumstances didn’t give me time to do that, and still I felt comfortable leaving my dogs with her. She responded quickly to any text and sent pictures. She has a great fully fenced-in backyard that I could tell they loved in the pictures!”

“Amazing! We had a request last minute… within hours of drop off. Cassandra not only accommodated our guy but did an awesome job. She is very communicative, kept him busy and sent pictures along the way. We definitely recommend and will hopefully get to hire her again!”

“As always, we’re very comfortable leaving Jax with Jana. She does a great job in communicating with us while we are gone. Jax always seems happy & well-cared for when we pick him up. Thank you, Jana.”

“WOW! This was our first time using Andrew and Karrie. Their communication was excellent and timely. The pictures we received of our dog were so comforting, while on vacation. We could tell our dog was very content and was being well taken care of. Our dog came home so much differently than how she was coming home before when using a boarding service. She was happy! I would highly recommend them. I feel like we found a great match for our Chloe :)”

“As always, Melissa and Alexis are my go to for the care of Desmond? They are fantastic! I trust them completely. They are Desmond's home away from home. Thank you so much.❤️”
