Curt is awesome, both our dogs took to him immediately, and I had zero worries about them while we were away! I appreciate Curt’s “can do” attitude—such a relief because many part-time dog walkers have schedules that are super limited. Plus, he has a great sense of humor!

About: I have basically done everything you can think for pet care. I’ve cleaned litters, walked dogs, helped with feeding schedules, bathed cats and dogs, and I even pet sat for family and friends! Whatever task you need, I can do! I’m currently on summer break, my schedule is flexible, besides hanging out with friends and family. And I’m sure I can make time for your pet too. Animals feedings are my top priority, I will stay as calm and patient as need be for your pet. I understand it’s a little difficult to trust a stranger, but I promise to respect them and care for them as I would my own.

Natalie was great! She took good care of our pup while we went out to breakfast. She gave him lots of attention and pets (evidence shown as she was covered in dog hair😂) She was communicative and respectful. I would recommend her if you’re ever in the area.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and bring both personal and professional experience caring for animals. I used to volunteer at shelters and was even a manager at a large pet store before. I managed and lead daily care routines and special care for a store-full of pets, supervising any staff responsible for their care and training, so you can trust your pet is in capable, knowledgeable hands from someone experienced and committed to your pet's well-being. Nature and animals have always been a major passion of mine so I'm happy to get outdoors with your pet! I’m happy to help with walks, drop-ins, and keeping up with any home routines or training your pet is used to while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I can also assist with basic care for other kinds of animals and house plants upon request! I know it can be scary for some pets to be apart from their families, but I’ll treat your pet like my own with empathetic care that fosters safety and connection for them. With experience caring for a wide variety of breeds, I’m comfortable adapting to different energy levels, personalities, and individual needs to provide the best care for your pet. My schedule is centered around reliable dog walking and drop-in pet care while pet parents are at work or out during the day. I’m available 7 days a week to offer consistent walks, potty breaks, and check-ins so you can confidently plan around dependable care. Every pet and household is different, and I’m also open to additional hours outside this window upon request as I continue expanding my services on Rover. Feel free to reach out if you need a time outside this range as i'm happy to see what I can accommodate. I respect your home and privacy and keep my visits focused on your pet’s care. My priority is meeting your pet’s needs during each visit while keeping my presence in your home low-impact and professional. About: Hello. My name is Veronica. I live close to Pleasant Valley High School in Camarillo. I took a break from dog sitting, walking, etc. the past several years as my job required me to be out of town in office on several days. My office work has since changed. I now work only part time (gradually easing into retirement) and work remotely from home. When my beloved Dexter passed away, I rescued my current dog, Dakota. Unfortunately, due to his traumatic start in life, he does not get along with other dogs; therefore, I can no longer watch other pet parents' dogs in my home nor can I stay overnight in their homes. However, I am available to dogsit during the day in your home and also walk your fur babies. I do love to be outdoors. I am an enthusiastic animal lover (the reason for my vegetarian lifestyle). I especially love dogs. I am very active. I regularly hike trails and walk daily. I will text or e-mail you constant updates including photos of your loved one(s) while in my care. About this sitter: I am a passionate animal lover.......the reason I am a vegetarian. I especially love dogs and could not imagine life without at least one dog in my family. I love being outdoors and lead a very active lifestyle.....canyon hikes, beach walks, and neighborhood walks/jogs. My current best friend, Dakota certainly keeps me moving! I have had at least two dogs in my family my entire life....and as many as four dogs for many years. My last two senior dogs passed away several years ago, leaving me with only one dog, my Boxer, Dexter, who then passed away almost 3 years ago due to advanced heart failure at age 11. Within a month later, I rescued Dakota, a labrador. I couldn't imagine my home without at least one dog sharing it with me.

About: Does your dog like casual strolls through parks? Me too! Do they like going to beach and dipping in the ocean? Me too! Or do they like snuggling on couch and watching Gardeners World & Northern Exposure??? Me too!!! Let’s be friends!!! 🥹❤️ I have had dogs and cats and other pets mostly my whole life. I have a lot experience caring for friends and family dogs, such as Labradors, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Chihuahuas, Chow-chows, Bichons, Mastiffs, and other mixes. Now that I currently have free time, I would love to care for yours. I have lived with roommates with dogs from Bulldogs, Pitt-bulls, Boxers to Pomeranians. I worked and lived many years on a farm where taking care of three Rottweiler farm dogs at the same time was part of the job description. It did not seem like work at all, because farm life with dogs is absolute bliss. I have an interest in learning about the holistic approach when caring for my dog. I want her to have the most optimal life in the most natural way. I admire Juliette De Baïracli Levy a lot and am currently learning about her work with animals. My approach is friendly yet stern enough for the big furry friends. I love big dogs as I have had lifelong friendships/experience with many Rottweilers and an entire littler of Labradors who are now Seniors. When I was caring for the dogs on the farm, two Rottweilers came as puppies while I was caring for another who was middle to eventually Senior. I would give the Senior medicine. And eventually one of the puppies grew up and got sick and needed medicine too. I believe the Rottweiler is my spirit animal for they always magically show up in my life. <3 My current dog is a big German Shepherd Cattle dog mix, sweetie girl. She is two years old and acts like a big puppy. She is curious with high energy. She is very cute and smart so she tries to test limits, but overall thrives to be a good girl. It makes me proud when I get positive feedback from those that meet her. I am currently working part time as well as studying which allows me to very easily fit in pet care every day in my routine. I am currently unable to share my home for boarding care. I’d be happy to care for them if they need someone present for overnight stays.

About: Helped take care of a geriatric dog who was incontinent and lost the use of her legs in the last year of her life. I have had animals in my home all my life, from dogs, cats, birds, and lizards. I usually work a couple of days a week for half days at Michaels. I am available for check-ins most mornings and in the afternoons. I live in a condo with tons of space for running around. I have two of my own cats, and any boarders would have to be fine with them. My cats have their space. I respect any habits and boundaries you have at your house for your pet. I can brush and clean up after the pet, and play their favorite game.

About: I’ve helped rescue two dogs so far within these past few years. Animals have really brightened up my life. I love caring for pets any size and age. My old co workers would call me the doggy whisperer because I liked talking to the dogs that would come in with their owners and the dogs seem to take a liking to me. I’m not sure why dogs gravitate to me. I think it has to do with how much I appreciate all the love they have to give. They truly are little fury blessings. I am grateful to come in to contact with pets. I enjoy making them smile from ear to ear. With great responsibility, there also comes great rewards with having pets. I’m here to help anybody in need of a dog/house sitter! My availability is currently open anytime Monday through Sunday, day or night! I also am available for holidays and all summer long if you need me. I am currently only open to house sitting inside your home or pet sitting in your home. Temporarily in a transition of moving so, my place currently isn’t available for dog boarding.

Alex was great! He’s clearly comfortable with all kinds of animals and really takes the time to win over their friendship. He even came equipped with treats during our first meeting. He is punctual, communicative and caring. My two huskies are high energy and a handful and I’m careful about who walks them but I trust Alex and they took to him immediately. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
