About: I am 39 years old and I love animals of EVERY kind. I grew up with Golden Retrievers, Pit Bull Mixes, and cats in the house so I am no stranger to larger dogs and I’m 5’9” myself. I have been working in sales for the last 10 years and therefore unable to have pets of my own but I have wanted to for the longest time. This gives me a chance to hang with some pets. We both make one another happy and put each other at ease. I currently work for my nonprofit doing pickleball charity work in Central America and have lots of flexibility in my schedule. You can catch me frolicking on the pickleball courts (or hanging with the pups attached to them) in my free time. I try to be as hands on as the pets will let me. “How very fortunate we are (Dustin dog and me), and what a huge relief it has been to have connected with Nancy and her sweet Roxy. When our Weimaraner got ill and died suddenly I needed to switch from having our pet sitter staying at our house to the sitter's house so Dustin wouldn't be alone several hours each day. He also needs canine friends but is often reactive (growl, bark, snap if he is scared enough) and needs exposure, time and patience when meeting a new dog. He is not comfortable being handled (he is 14 pounds) by new people. Nancy and Roxy have been wonderful in keeping him in his comfort zone and gaining his trust. After several successful short daycare sessions we will start short boarding stays before our out of town trip. Needless to say I give Nancy the highest recommendation.”

About: I have been boarding and caring for animals through Rover for almost 6 years. Due to my recent move, I am unable to accomodate boarding in my unit. However, I am available to walk your puppies or drop in to check on them. I have experience with all kinds of breeds and temperaments. Let me know how I can help! I have two dogs of my own and am willing to help someone else out around my work schedule. Just let me know what you need. I am no longer able to support boarding dogs in my new unit do to the space. About: Helped take care of a geriatric dog who was incontinent and lost the use of her legs in the last year of her life. I have had animals in my home all my life, from dogs, cats, birds, and lizards. I usually work a couple of days a week for half days at Michaels. I am available for check-ins most mornings and in the afternoons. I live in a condo with tons of space for running around. I have two of my own cats, and any boarders would have to be fine with them. My cats have their space. I respect any habits and boundaries you have at your house for your pet. I can brush and clean up after the pet, and play their favorite game.

She was very understanding and gladly gave Reggie his antibiotic medication to make sure there was no interruption in the treatment for a paw wound he was healing from. About: Hi! I'm Gabby, a recent CSU Channel Islands graduate with a B. A. in Psychology. I'll be starting my Master's in Counseling Psychology (MFT emphasis) at California Lutheran University this fall. I'm currently looking for part-time dog walking, dog boarding, and drop-in visits that work well with my graduate school schedule. I've loved animals my whole life and began volunteering with Ventura County Animal Services as soon as I turned 18, where I volunteered for about three years. I also started pet sitting in 2019 and have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight house and pet sitting, and boarding dogs in my home. I have two female Labradoodles and two cats, so any dogs staying in my home must be friendly with both dogs and cats. I'm comfortable caring for pets overnight and always strive to make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away! Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule while I’m in graduate school, so I’m available for daytime and overnight boarding any day of the week, as well as dog walking and drop-in visits. Since I have pets of my own, caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life, and I enjoy making sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and love they need while their owners are away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My two Labradoodles are indoor dogs, but they have access to a large, securely fenced yard where I let them out throughout the day to run, play, and get plenty of exercise. I don’t have a doggie door because my two cats are indoor-only, so all outdoor time is supervised. My dogs are very friendly and love meeting new dog friends, and my cats are comfortable around dogs, so I only board pets that are friendly with both dogs and cats. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. At night, my pets have their own comfortable sleeping routines. My older Labradoodle sleeps with my parents, and my younger Labradoodle sleeps with me. Any dog boarding in my home is welcome to sleep in my room if that helps them feel more comfortable, or I’m happy to follow whatever routine works best for them and their owner, such as sleeping in a crate or their own designated sleeping space.
