“Part of me selfishly doesn't want to leave the amazing review that Allison deserves because I don't want to invite the competition for her heart and soul service! We were away from our cats for the longest time since we adopted them from VCAS. What first caught my eye about Allison, in fact, was her extensive experience volunteering at VCAS. Most people don't do that without having a deep connection with animals. Allison impressed at every turn from proactively asking how else she could help to patiently handling our kitties 'acting out' in protest of our absence. She went above and beyond the basics giving us detailed daily reports, videos and pictures so we weren't worried a bit. To top it all off, we arrived home to a very unexpected 'thank you' note and delightful handmade treat! What a kind, lovely person and all around class act Allison is!!! We need more Allisons in our world! Just don't book her when we need her again. 😉”

“Michelle took great care of my kitties! We came back to them in such great spirits they probably didn’t miss us at all! She spent plenty of time playing and giving them affection.”

“Claire was an excellent caregiver for my two cats. She was a great communicator and I had complete peace of mind leaving for over a week with my cats under Claire’s care. The check-in snapshots were great! Overall, I couldn’t think of a better caregiver and would highly recommend her to anyone. 6/5 stars ☺️”

“Kaleigh was so wonderful with our two cats! We loved seeing the pictures each day of her visits and she was flexible when we needed to change the dates last minute. We would love to have her cat sit for us again any time!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I have years of experience working with large dogs with anxiety and high energy, especially German Shepherds. I have been trained in reconditioning and desensitization training for anxious/traumatized dogs. I also love working with small and medium dogs. I am very attuned to the body language of cats and dogs and am attentive to their nervous system to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. I’m currently working part time and my schedule is very flexible. I can also do most of my work remotely so I can be with your pets even more. I can be available most days and nights. I strive to maintain your pet’s normal routine, whatever that may look like. I know that when you are away, that can be more stressful for your pet so I try to do whatever I can to make your pet more relaxed and happy. If I am house sitting overnight, I will clean any dishes I have used, launder any sheets or towels if I am able and generally leave a tidy space for you to return to.

“sierra did a great job! i was in a bit of a pinch when my usual pet sitter canceled on me a couple days before my trip but sierra responded right away and was super attentive and communicative through out the whole process! she took such good care of my kitties and home. will definitely be booking with her again :)))”

“Once again Hilary was amazing. All of our pets love her and she took such great care of them. She adds a lot of detail to the Rover card and pictures which makes being away and traveling so much easier when missing them. She even stopped by before our trip to meet our new rescue pup. Will definitely book again.”

“I couldn't be happier with the care my two dogs received! Melissa was punctual, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my furry friends were comfortable and well-cared for. I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate pet care!"”

“Kailey was so great taking care of our two fur babies! She was always prompt and made sure to let us know how they were doing every time she stopped by. Thank you Kailey!!!”

“Jennifer was great! She played with the dogs during the visits and sent plenty of pictures of their happy faces. It really helped to see that our fur babies were in good hands while we were away for the weekend. Will be booking with her again in the future!”

“Sarah took excellent care of my dog. She gave us so much peace of mind on our trip and it was honestly like we never left. Our dog obviously had a wonderful few days of drop in care with Sarah and we will be contacting her again in the future for more care. Thank you, Sarah!”

“My rescue dog struggles with trusting people and when I contacted Emily about it she was so nice and gentle about her approach to meeting Shae. Ever since the meet and greet she was patient and loving and my dog ended up warming up to her in just a couple of visits. It is really hard to find someone who is truly caring and understanding of fearful dogs. She was also very accommodating to our needs, Thank you, Emily!”

“Kathleen arrived on time, devoted the full half hour to Kalea. Our dog is nervous having recently had surgery and is in pain. Kalea opened up, trusting Kathleen. She was able to get massaging and some deeper rubs even some prom moves.”

“Alison was absolutely wonderful with Bentley! From our initial meet-and-greet, I could immediately tell she was kind, patient, and genuinely loves animals. As a dog mom, that’s incredibly important to me, and she made me feel completely at ease. During her visit, she took Bentley on a nice walk, spent quality time with him, gave him lots of affection, and followed all of my care instructions perfectly. I could tell she treated him with the same love and attention he’s used to receiving, which meant so much to me. She also kept me updated throughout the visit, and I came home to a happy, relaxed pup. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Alison again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their pet as if they were their own.”

“Curt arrived on time, he starts an organized process in steps. He can talk and work at the same time giving massages, and comforting our dog that recently had surgery and is anxious. He worked the full time, he likes his work”

About: I am 39 years old and I love animals of EVERY kind. I grew up with Golden Retrievers, Pit Bull Mixes, and cats in the house so I am no stranger to larger dogs and I’m 5’9” myself. I have been working in sales for the last 10 years and therefore unable to have pets of my own but I have wanted to for the longest time. This gives me a chance to hang with some pets. We both make one another happy and put each other at ease. I currently work for my nonprofit doing pickleball charity work in Central America and have lots of flexibility in my schedule. I’m active and love to see a happy pet even though I can’t have one of my own. I have a flexible schedule. You can catch me frolicking on the pickleball courts (or hanging with the pups attached to them) in my free time. I try to be as hands on as the pets will let me. I have a genuine happiness knowing that they are being kept as comfortable as possible when things are a little abnormal. We generally adapt very quickly to each other and become fast friends but I am patient and will make sure the animals are happy.

Claire is the Best! She took care of our 2 kitties while we were gone for over a week. She visited our cats twice a day - and sent a great review and photos after each visit. We were so happy with her care and our cats certainly enjoyed her visits from the photos! Thank you Claire for your fabulous kitty sitting ~ and we will definitely use you again! Highly recommend!
Melissa was great with Callie. I had surgery and needed her to help with litter box, food and water. Melissa was prompt, pleasant and professional! Callie warmed up to her right away. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone looking for dog or cat care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camarillo. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
