About: I’m very passionate when it comes to animals and pets. I have patience, I pay close attention to detail, and have a genuine love for animals. I have experience in caring for high energy pets. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific needs each pet has. I stay consistent so pets feel comfortable and less stressed while their owners are away. Our pets are our family, they bring us the joy and love we sometimes don’t even realize we’re missing. They are just babies and should always be treated as priority!
“Bethany and Siddhartha took great care of our cat Waylon while we were away. Waylon was in great shape and clearly well cared for when we got back. Thank you so much! Would hire again.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, birds, etc., for quite some time now. I had always taken a great interest in animals in general and have been attempting to pursue an education and career in animal care as a Veterinarian. I have always had a soft spot for every single type of animal there is. Except wasps. And for good reasons. I am currently unemployed so I would rather take this time giving my attention and care to animals who may be in need of it. I have a secured front yard and fenced in back yard along with a very friendly and playful dog. We don’t have any children around either so that won’t be an issue.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI), where I worked as a Resident Assistant (RA). During my time there, I also helped care for our housing community dog, spending time with them, supervising them, and making sure they were well cared for. That experience reinforced how much I enjoy building trust with animals and providing them with consistent, compassionate care. Right now I am currently in transition to a new job. So I am available all day . However when I start I would be available after 4 pm Monday through Friday . All day on weekends! In my home or yours I will make sure your dog is groomed and fed regularly . As well as make sure they are fed at your exact feeding times you prefer and are taken outside when needed.
“Ali was very thorough in checking in on our lil comrades. She provided photos for every check in and was even able to interact with our cats which is rare considering how shy they are. We will definitely be reaching out to her on future trips.”

For walks when pet sitting I usually like to keep a schedule for which time they need to be let out just to give some similarity (if I’m able to know the times that be helpful) if not I’d just go based on the schedule I know (early morning, if needed a quick afternoon walk, then when it’s cool enough if during the summer 6 o’clock ish evening walk, winter about 5:30pm

About: Helped take care of a geriatric dog who was incontinent and lost the use of her legs in the last year of her life. About: Hello! My name is Mariana. I have a beautiful and super smart German Shepherd Dalmatian mix baby that I trained since 1 month old alongside with my husband. I did have a lot of help and advice from my sister who is a veterinarian though, so I'm going to have to give her her flowers as well. I am a lover of all animals and I'm excited to meet you and your fur babies as well. I work full-time but I usually have Wednesdays and Sundays off and have my mornings available as well. Although feel free to inquire on if I'm available on the day that you need and we can see if it will work out. No harm in asking at all! Of my house we have our dog great trained and potty trained so she knows to wait for us to let her go outside in the backyard in order to go number one or two. She likes to relax with us in her doggy bed and we have a little bell for her to signal for us when she needs or wants to go outside. She is pretty well behave but also still learning so if she needs to be corrected we do immediately take action and put her in the crate for a few minutes to either calm down or to get the hands that what just happened wasn't right. But of course I'm open and comfortable to following any rules or routines that you might have for your pets
About: I love animals and i’ve always loved animals since I was a little girl. Any chance I got to be able to play with our dog, take him on a walk or even just to feed him I was always right there. Every morning before work I make my cat his breakfast meal (3/4 can of wet food with added water for hydration). Play with him for at least 5-10 minutes so he doesn’t feel ignored. Once coming home from work he is greeted with cuddles and play time and a treat until it’s time for his dinner meal (3/4 can of wet food with added water & Omega-3 oil). I make sure to scoop my cat’s litter box daily as to not stress him out and to keep a clean litter box. Litter changes weekly. I have always had pets growing up. Ranging from dogs, cats, frogs, turtles, fish, etc. Every pet is different so i’ve had to care for each animal in different ways. Getting to know your pets is always fun and also important in knowing how to care for them and keep them happy and comfortable. Tending to your pets needs and wants such as daily/weekly water bowl/fountain changes, learning their food preferences, toy preferences, maintaining a nice environment for them is super essential in pet care and overall happiness.

I’ll also play with them and take them for walks to help keep them active! I’m available mornings and overnight! I normally work 12pm to 9pm but always will make sure to spend as much time with your pet as possible. I’ll care for them as my own and try my best to keep them on your schedule! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
